"During this hazy, nostalgic haze between controlling a giant worm in a spacesuit to collecting pieces of heart container I thought I would list my all time favorite Top 10 SNES games."

Five important life lessons you can learn from playing one of gaming's strangest hits, Earthworm Jim. You knew it was awesome, but did you know playing it was so educational?

Some of the best gaming franchises around never successfully made the jump to the newer generations (Streets of Rage), or just died out all together (Earthworm Jim). Sadly, the TMNT line of games' and their steady decline in the modern gaming world is a travesty.

Sometimes, video game series die an early death, but even a long absence doesn't mean a franchise is dead forever. Here are 10 video game series that are overdue for a comeback.

It's been kind of weird to see a lack of releases on the Wii and DS the last couple of weeks. Really not much there. Of course, it has also been odd to see the number of new releases on the PS3 and 360 during a time of year that typically doesn't get much in the way of games period. Spring is the new Christmas!

"Well, back in 2006, Shiny Entertainment and Atari announced that they were developing a PSP title of the original Earthworm Jim. Soon after, Atari sold off Shiny Entertainment to Foundation 9, which then merged them with The Collective to form Double Helix Games. The first WiiWare game is Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands from Telltale Games. Our good cool pal Strong Bad is low on funds, so he decides to enter and dominate the "Battle Royale of the Bands". Featuri...

"Videogame characters are lazy, forgetful, or just plain stupid. Cutscene after cutscene, they exhibit planet-shaking combat abilities and a level of indestructibility which would make God himself jealous. But as soon as you pick up the controller? The Incredible Hulk turns back into Bruce Banner and all of those showboating tricks and superhuman powers disappear into the ether.

They're constantly saving their best tricks until we've already done all the hard work for them, and even if not,..."

Right on the heels of yesterday's news, a fourth installment in the much-loved Earthworm Jim series has been officially announced. Doesn't look like this one will be cancelled like the PSP version by Atari last year either, as creative consultant TenNapel has also said a feature film and revival of the cartoon (the original of which was also produced by them) is in the works.
