Earthworm Jim 2

Earthworm Jim 2

GOG.com is having a pretty cool sale from now until July 4th. What's in store for those that are interested? Well how about all 32 of their Interplay games for $2.99 a piece?

The Nintendo Wii saw plenty of excellent classic games re-released on the Virtual Console service this year. So which of the titles were the best of the 2009 class?

"This week, Nintendo DSiWare and WiiWare sees the arrival of an ancient game made modern, Mahjong alongside the festively fun, Happy Holidays Christmas and Just Sing! Christmas Songs. If that isn't enough of a treat, also available this week to download is A Little Bit of...Magic Made Fun: Matchmaker and for those to whom a Christmas shopping list is essential, myNotebook: Red should provide the perfect memory aid."

Right on the heels of yesterday's news, a fourth installment in the much-loved Earthworm Jim series has been officially announced. Doesn't look like this one will be cancelled like the PSP version by Atari last year either, as creative consultant TenNapel has also said a feature film and revival of the cartoon (the original of which was also produced by them) is in the works.

A couple weeks ago, publisher Interplay had planned revivals for several of its properties. The first step probably is to game the previous games onto the Virtual Console.

Interplay announced today that four of its Genesis games library will be headed to the Virtual Console: Earthworm Jim, Boogerman, and Clayfighter.

While no specific dates have been announced, they are slated for a 2008 release.
