Although it may not have been as packed as the first month of 2010, February still provided plenty of great new releases, especially in regards to unique titles from niche genres.
"The first Endless Ocean wasn't a typical game: Like developer Arika's previous efforts with the Everblue series, it was a pleasing journey through the dense ocean. It was about observing and appreciating marine life, even though it did have some typical game trappings. Their latest game, Endless Ocean: Blue World, brings the feeling right back. At its heart, it's a standard adventure game, but it's also a great trip through the waters of the world -- not to mention one of the few non-horror ..."
"While I definitely enjoyed Endless Ocean, two things really bothered me (enough to award the game a just-above-average 5.5). First off, I felt the ocean in the game felt far from “endless” and, secondly, the game’s overall presentation left little to be desired. For a game that promised a majestic, undersea world to explore and interact with, everything felt surprisingly restrictive.
So, where does that leave Endless Ocean: Blue World? Does this Wii sequel improve on the original, or does ..."
While supplies last, Amazon.com is bundling free Wii Speak Microphone with pre-order of Endless Ocean 2: Blue World. If you were interested in the game or Wii Speak Microphone itself, this is a great deal considering the whole bundle will cost only $30.
"Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep offers six new ocean locations to explore. Plunge into the icy Arctic waters or explore the sunken wrecks in the Aegean Sea and for the first time, venture into rivers such as the mysterious Brazilian Amazon, to discover a vast array of freshwater wildlife. For the first time you can even step ashore onto dry land to explore birds and other non-aquatic wildlife."
The lack of talk for the sequel to the under appreciated Wii title, Endless Ocean forced me to grab as much information about the game and make a little preview for it.
The follow-up of the Arika-developed underwater exploration title, Endless Ocean, has been confirmed by Nintendo for a Q1 2010 release in North America. In Endless Ocean 2, the game expands on the feature set in the first game, including the use of WiiSpeak so that friends can communicate over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection as they explorer the waters together.
