Default Prime writer Kyree Leary is dipping backing into the year that was 2010 to play a title he heard good things about, but skipped in favor of something else. He's two years behind on Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, but at only $10 on Amazon, how could he say 'no'?
"GamingUnion: "Before being tasked with rebooting the Devil May Cry series in the upcoming DmC, English developer Ninja Theory worked on the thoroughly enjoyable, character-driven adventure known as Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. Criminally under-appreciated by the gaming public, Enslaved put Ninja Theory's signature strengths on display - storytelling, strong characters, beautiful cutscenes and excellent pacing. If anybody ever decides to pull out this dusty file and return to Monkey and Trip..."
With fall releases in full swing the crew at Goozernation looks back to their ever growing backlog which includes games such as Red Dead Redemption, Fallout New Vegas, Goldeneye 007, Enslaved, Borderlands, Bulletstorm, LA Noire, and Metal Gear Solid 4. The bigger question here is how can a gamer find anytime to play this stuff and how did these games end up in the backlog?
Escort quests, something that has become insanely popular in games for the last two generations of consoles. Goozernation has put together a list of games with escort quests, include, ICO, Dead Rising, Resident Evil 4, and Enslaved, The problem here is there is no standard for games, most of the time the NPC is a useless burden and makes the game almost unplayable. Should developers due away with the escort missions? Should there be some sort of standard?
