"Do you remember Tamagotchi? First sold in Japan by Bandai in 1996, the tiny handheld device allowed kids to hatch their very own digital pets and raise them. With the press of a button, you could feed your pet, play with it, clean up its "accidents" and give it medicine when it got sick. Failure to respond to your little egg-shaped overlord's needs usually resulted in its death, leading many schools to ban the device when children became more preoccupied with it than with their work."
Having to carry the EyePet card with you where ever you go. Just to see the little creature is a hassle to say the least. You are advised to stay away from this Eyepet as you will be forever chained to a flat surface.

"Well, I recently was able to give EyePet a try and I must say that for the most part, I am impressed by it. There are a few quirks that bug me. The main one being the grainy quality of the camera. I did not expect it to be crisp given how long the camera has been around. But it would have been nice to look a little clearer. The gameplay was easy for my boys to get the hang of with a few exceptions. Feeding the pet can be tricky as there are two ways to do so: tossing them to the pet and pouri..."
"Eye Pet move edition : Again we will keep it short as we have covered the game previously Eye Pet is a game for the younger user, I guess it’s the modern equivalent of a Tamagotchi in which you must care for your onscreen pet, feed wash and entertain it to keep it happy. Now that Eye pet is one of the Move controllers launch titles we felt it needed another look with the new control system and instantly it is a lot better"

"Fitness games help promote healthier life choices by getting the player up and moving. They debunk the myth that all gamers are overweight and lazy. They show that video games can be a part of a healthy, fit lifestyle. They can also be encouraging to the gamer who normally would not get up off of the couch. Many are developed to be competitive and to spark that competitive nature in the gamer that makes you want to win. Fitness games help you feel good about your time spent gaming."

"It’s true that gaming has brought us epic battles, immersive stories, phenomenal worlds and good looking video game women. However, it has also provided us with something that we take for granted sometimes. Gaming has brought to life some of the cutest little characters you wish you could snuggle with; the ones that make a grown man turn him soft."
"Sony's EyePet is more or less a direct descendent of all those Catz and Dogz games (or should that be gamez?) that surfaced in the mid nineties. Both series were massively popular with gamers who were either unable or unwilling to deal with the expense, responsibility or omnipresent faeces that accompanies real-world pet ownership. In essence, the player used their mouse to interact with a cartoon mutt or feline as they pranced around their computer screen. You fed the animal, groomed it, and..."
"As we reported yesterday, review copies have already been sent out to select outlets, making this move even more surprising. Some have pointed out that a push to April would make sense if Sony wants to align the adorable title with the Sony Motion Controller, which has recently been confirmed to support the EyePet. Is this part of the reason? It's a possibility, but it's likely not the only cause. As said in the quote, it's not the easiest game for Sony to sell, so it might be worth waiting u..."
