PS3 vs. Xbox 360 vs. Wii: Which Has the Best Exclusives?

Mcm2008 | 2 days ago | Blog | Playstation 3 Wii  | views: 2370
"Let’s not forget about the console wars! There are sale charts, there are fanboys slamming other fanboys’ data, there are all sorts of ways to “decide” the winner of the console wars… One of them is, of course, checking the exclusive games and that’s exactly what we’re planning to do now. So, the battle is on: PS3 vs. Xbox 360 vs. Wii – which console has the best exclusives?"

No Video Games This Vacation, How About You?

Dark Arcanine | 2 days ago | Blog | PC Playstation 2  | views: 2516
"Even though I dragged my Xbox 360, PS3, DS and PSP (and iPhone?) through airport security, every system remained stowed away during my nearly two-week visit home. I had every intention of playing through a few games, but it never occurred. Weirder still, this happens to me every year."

Games of the Year 2008

Mcm2008 | 10 days 20 hours ago | Blog | PC Playstation 3  | views: 3533
"After 12 months of playing and enjoying as many games as possible, it’s time to take a break, look back and choose the best of the best - the best 10 games of the year 2008. As you can imagine, it’s a really tough mission, especially because the overall quality of the games released this year was pretty high (there were exceptions, of course), but we must choose the game of the year here, at the Unigamesity!"

"July

Microsoft kicked off this year's E3 with a raft of announcements, or rather a raft of confirmations of leaked Intellisponse data. The only thing missing was Bungie's big reveal, after Microsoft cancelled the unveiling at the last minute."

A Gamer's Realization: I prefer playing with myself

Deathsythe | November 03, 2008 | Blog | PC XBOX 360 Misc  | views: 2462
"In Fable II, you're the only "live" human around. Sure, it's crammed full of "non-player characters" — but they're all 'bots, spouting fairly crude dialogue lines, with none of the unpredictability and spontaneity of a multiplayer game. You have no friends with whom to share your feats, to brag to about your awesomeness, to marvel at the beautiful sights. There are no epic, wargasmic, 50-person raids that will be spoken of over mead, four generations hence, in a tavern.

So it's a good ques..."

‘New Xbox Experience’ Loading Time Comparison (DVD Vs. Hard Drive)

bobbonew | November 01, 2008 | Blog | XBOX 360  | views: 3397
"People keep asking me if doing the installation is worth the trouble. Are loading times that much better?

I tested Microsoft's claim on four games, using my NXE-enabled 360. Above, you can watch the initial loading for "Grand Theft Auto IV," DVD vs Hard Drive. After the jump, check out loading comparisons for "Fable II" and "Gears of War."

...Each of the games took about 11 minutes to install and required between 6.6 and 6.8GB. It shaved off about nine to 15 seconds off the initial load..."

Most gamers can't absorb games these days

Tyranitar24 | October 22, 2008 | Blog | Misc  | views: 2421
"For the average consumer, more options, stiffer competition and a wide array of truly great games is nothing but a good thing. But for hardcore fans and culturists, the sort that read this blog (or write it!), I suspect it's actually rather inappropriately stressful."

SlapStic: Why I Can't Get Excited For Fable 2 OR Fallout 3

RKRigney | October 17, 2008 | Blog | PC Playstation 3  | views: 4206
"It never fails: every time I get an open-world game, I follow the missions for a little bit, but then wind up ignoring the storyline and simply running around testing the limits of the world. When playing Grand Theft Auto, I tend to just see how high I can get the police radar and then survive as long as I can. That's fun for a few hours, but after I get done, I really feel no reason to return.. The same goes for Assassin's Creed. I made it to the very first town, and after doing a few assass..."
