"The dream machine at Lionhead Studios promised us a story incredible beyond measure, a breakthrough online mode, a brave new world, a game-changing pet companion, and more. Then, on October 21st, the smoke finally began to clear."

MASSIVE Fable II Review

RKRigney | October 30, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360  | views: 2489
"Fable was one of the most hyped games of the original Xbox, and for good reason; what Molyneux promised gamers was nothing short of extraordinary. A complicated good vs. evil dynamic based on the player’s actions, the ability to shape the world and your appearance, again based on the player’s actions, and the ability to choose your own destiny would have made for one of the most original action RPG’s of all time, had it ever been released. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I am pleased ..."

ActionTrip Reviews Fable II

Mishtram | October 25, 2008 | Reviews | PC XBOX 360  | views: 3372
"The freedom to roam the countryside is greater than in the original, although don't rush into this expecting to march anywhere you like Oblivion style. Most of the areas offer a few alternative routes to your destination, which may lead to unexpected encounters and exciting side-quests. Exploring is something we advise you to do often in Fable II, 'cause you never know what you can stumble upon. In addition, to exploring, enjoying unprotected sex, having a family, fighting, buying houses, sta..."

Fable 2 Review from OXCGN

XboxOZ360 | October 25, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360  | views: 2357
"Lionhead Studio’s second attempt at the Fable franchise has finally been released. Fable 2 takes place 500 years after the events of Fable 1, and throws you into the shoes of a new character who also must save the world, this time with your trusty side-kick “dog” by your side.
So, the big question is, does Fable 2 live up to its hype?

Fable 2’s story begins when your character is just a child who is homeless and being looked after by his/her older sister (you have a choice of male or fe..."

UGO Games Blog: Fable 2 is good, but doesn't earn an A...

Daigoji_Gai | October 21, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360  | views: 2235
"Lionshead Studios’ Fable II, the controversial game release du jour, has been the subject of a years-long smoke and mirrors campaign. Not a calculated one, mind you. “Miscalculated’ serves as a better description. Series creator Peter Molyneux just can’t seem to shut up about the game, about his hopes and dreams for it and for how we gamers ought to enjoy it. While he’s certainly entitled to his opinions, we feel that all this talk has obscured the truth of what Fable II (not to mention i..."

Fable II Recieves 4.5/5 from CheatCC Review

pooOBKp | October 20, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360  | views: 1985
"Fable II's Albion is a very different place from that experienced in the original title. Set a few hundred years later, human populations have exploded, technology has evolved, and true heroes have become rather rare. The world is rife with banditry, the misuse of black powder weapons is widespread, and the ancient mystical arts of magic (Will) is quite unusual indeed. In other words, Albion is ripe for a hero or villain of great renown to mold it to their ideals or whims, whatever the case m..."

IGN UK; Fable II - " The most cohesive, tangible game world we've ever played"

Cruxis Mana | October 20, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360  | views: 2531
"

It's something the first game excelled at and it's an even greater achievement here. Regions are now vast, open and uniformly staggering in their beauty and attention to detail. From the bustle of Bowerstone to the haunting tragedy of Wraithmarsh, every place has its own distinct character and its own story to tell. Characters and themes run throughout the game; books tell of legends, heroes and history, all of which is skilfully introduced and interweaved. The more you explore, the grea...

Fable II Review 9/10 (GCHD)

KennethSese | October 20, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360 Misc  | views: 2700
The reviews for Fable II are starting to surface today, so thought I would share this one. It sounds as if the game is awesome, but some pop in and draw distance issues, along with a weird map system makes it less than perfect. Enjoy!

Molyneux rates Fable II "9 out of 10"

Twisted | September 01, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360  | views: 2177
"Fable II is "the best, most complete game I've ever worked on," says mastermind Peter Molyneux, just as the RPG sequel is said to have now gone gold at Lionhead's Guildford HQ.

Speaking in an interview with CVG's paper cousin, Xbox World 360, Molyneux says he hasn't made "the same mistakes I made in the past," with the second Fable.

"Black & White, The Movies, Dungeon Keeper, pretty much every game I've ever done has had interesting features thrown in to the pot without worrying what th..."

Review for Lionhead's Fable II Pub Games

XboxOZ360 | August 17, 2008 | Reviews | XBOX 360  | views: 3060
"Sometimes you really have to wonder what is going through developer's minds while they are creating some games. One also must wonder at the state a mind would have to be in to decide that sitting there pressing "A" 100 times is going to be a good time for all. It is of course quite possible that they were suffering from severe sleep deprivation after working 72+ hours straight on the actual Fable 2 game or something like that. Regardless what is really a fantastic marketing concept falls very..."
