"Facebreaker could have been a spectacular game. I couldn't help but believe that the developers made a genuine effort to create a fun game worth playing. Unfortunately, bad AI and broken elements create an ugly experience that turns most away within minutes of popping the disc in."

"By name many users have tried to get in on the action of Battlefield 1943 but have been hit with a bit of a snag. Dice has convinced fans that it is a server issue and they are trying to add servers around the clock. Now if any that are reading this at home have tried and have gotten a error message in the form of “Error Connecting to EA Servers” then Dice adding servers isn’t your problem. Fortunately we have two remedy’s that can get anyone on they’re way to join your friends in battle."

"So, what of the Wii for the future? At Nometet.com we hope that game developers will wise up to what’s good about the Wii, and make a game where you can wave your Wiimote about and make your own moves, where you can use the balance board to shift the centre of gravity of your character, leading to a sweet game not unlike Mirror’s Edge only a lot more advanced. We predict said game will arrive at the same time as the nuclear apolocalypse. Or when people stop worrying about Sarah Palin. The apo..."

"We’re just a few days short from finding out the winners of Unigamesity’s Best Games of 2008 awards, but there’s still a small (and rather unpleasant) step that has to be made now, just to make it easier for everybody to understand that huge budgets and obscene amounts of advertising are not the only things needed for a game to be considered a success. Because, as you will see, we will not talk about unknown, indie or low budget productions - we’re talking about products that we, as gamers, c..."

"Launching as the first title under EA SPORTS’ new label aimed at the Casual Gamer, EA Freestyle, Facebreaker has recently seen release on UK shores. Having grabbed many headlines since its first unveiling, many may have allowed the art direction to sway their judgement, and may well be expecting a Ready 2 Rumble Boxing style game. The commercial audience could easily be forgiven for doing so; however, Facebreaker isn’t quite the instant-appeal Arcade-style game the early screenshots may have ..."

Get Ready for some face-crunching fun as we take a hard look at Facebreaker from EA and decide it it’s got the chops to make it or if it’s down for the count. And there's the bell!

"With its cast of over-the-top characters, Facebreaker looks and plays like no other game on the market today and the soundtrack was developed to match. With hot bands like From First To Last, Santogold, Fujiya & Miyagi, and The Go! Team, gamers will have the perfect music to pump them up as they step into the ring and knock out their opponents."

While at EA's E3 2008 booth, Peter Moore's face was scanned into the game using FaceBreaker's box editor feature. When Button Masher spoke to Peter Moore after seeing his face in the game with a body of a blue monkey, he revealed that his face will be in the retail version of FaceBreaker and will be most likely be an unlockable character. So if you want to beat up the EA Sports President, wait until the game comes out on September 3rd and your wish will come true.

You'll be forgiven if you see screen shots for Facebreaker and think that it is a boxing game, however it seems that 2K Sports believe that the game is NOT a boxing game. Developed by EA Sports you can't expect them to take 2K's comments lightly.

So far we have met Steve (ninja boxer), Romeo, Voodoo and now we get to meet Ice! Ice is 6'2" and weighs in at about 230 pounds and looks like your average boxer, but he is far from it. In the video we see what kind of moves he really has.

"EA Canada explained the following in a recent interview with Official Nintendo Magazine:

“In terms of game modes, controls, and gameplay we’ll actually have a lot of stuff [in the Wii version] that the other systems won’t.

“Since day one, we knew that we were taking FaceBreaker to the Wii. And we’ve learned that in order to be successful on the Wii, you have to create an experience that you can only get on this platform.”

“So we chose to build just about everything from scratch speci..."

Hmmm my play on words seem to be getting worse, but at least the screenshots that I'm showing are of the top most quality. For Electronic Arts upcoming game, FaceBreaker these screenshots show how detailed the game will be, with more available at the source, why not take a look at the game previously rumoured to be called Pummel.

It was announced yesterday in an exclusive by 1up that Electronic Arts (EA Games) is putting out a new boxing game called FaceBreaker.

FaceBreaker looks like a cross between Team Fortress 2 and Ready 2 Rumble.

From rumors its been said that the concept name for the game was originally 'Pummel'[1]. However, the name was changed because of its meaning in German. In German, 'Pummel', or, 'Pummelchen' translates to (little) roly-poly[2] or, (little) fat kid. We've seen name changes before (...
