One new “Playstation 3 the Best” title in addition to two new “PSP the Best” games have been revealed by the Japanese branch of Sony Computer Entertainment.

"I’ve been pretty clear on the fact that I love Fallout in all its forms. From the classic turn-based RPG by Interplay to the first-person sequels by Bethesda. When I heard that there was a game called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl that would let me wander around a radioactive wasteland using a mix of first person shooting, RPG and free roaming I was terribly excited because it sounded a lot like Fallout 3. I’m afraid that I wasn’t cool enough to have played S.T.A.L.K.E.R. when it came..."

"I began playing a game yesterday, a game lauded by many, so I decided that I should have a go at it as well: LA Noire. Now, truth be told, open world games have stopped captivating my interest these last few years (yes, I’m counting Skyrim as well). The problem is that this kind of game tends to sacrifice storytelling for freedom. After playing New Vegas a while back, I said to myself that I’d rather play a completely linear story that at least has more depth than 50 square miles that are as ..."

Even though its 2012 there are plenty of games to fill the early year void. The best part of this that so many of these games are less then $20. Games like GTA IV, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Saints Row 2, Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, and lots of others. There are plenty of other games that offer a lot of bang for your buck.

"The details of the settlement have been made public and Bethesda now has full rights to the the Fallout Intellectual Property and to develop their own Fallout MMO. Interplay had allegedly begun development on the Fallout MMO with Masthead Studios but a second lawsuit by Bethesda resulted in Masthead no longer having any rights to the franchise either, leaving Bethesda in full control of all future Fallout games, and aborting any Fallout MMO that was in the works."

"2011 has been a very well-paced year for gamers. We started out with a couple of hits in January and ended with a major release less than a week before Christmas. My favorites this year include horror, comedy, epic RPG’s, downloadable arcade games, and even a DLC pack from a 2010 game that was so good it deserves just as much honor as the full games. Developers are making great games at a faster rate than anyone can play them all, but here are ten that I thoroughly enjoyed."

PSBeyond's top 5 sci-fi games of all time. The top 5 games ever made to feature a prominent sci-fi element. In a setting shared by so many games, which ones pull it off best?

"It may surprise you to learn that I have been playing Skyrim. You know, that game that’s been mentioned once or twice recently. The thing is, I had a few theories about this game before I played it. I’ve made no secret either of the fact I feel generally let down by most developers in this modern age as the illusion of greater choice waters down the overall experience of a deep narrative, or that hype generally leads to disappointment. The frenzy around Skyrim had caused my scepticism to rise..."

Bethsoft has announced a Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition which includes the Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, Courier’s Stash and Gun Runners’ Arsenal DLC's and new areas to explore.

"There’s something about certain games that naturally draw me in. This is considerably easier with any sort of RPG that involves decisions and progression that allow you to influence not only your character, but the actual game itself. I’ve spent so much time with these games because I’m able to make the character my own, affect the environment, and play the game almost exactly how I want to play it."

With fall releases in full swing the crew at Goozernation looks back to their ever growing backlog which includes games such as Red Dead Redemption, Fallout New Vegas, Goldeneye 007, Enslaved, Borderlands, Bulletstorm, LA Noire, and Metal Gear Solid 4. The bigger question here is how can a gamer find anytime to play this stuff and how did these games end up in the backlog?

"I bought Fallout: New Vegas the day it came out, but I was afraid to play it. Not afraid of the ghouls or giant scorpions; afraid that I’d lose all semblance of productivity. My backlog of un-played games is extensive and I didn’t want to tackle another RPG with a hundred hours of gameplay. Eventually I broke down and blasted through the main storyline, murdering my way through each mission in an effort to minimize the amount of time I’d spend roaming the Mojave Wasteland. Since that quick..."

"Before we begin there are two things worthy of note that happened last week. Steve Jobs passed away and Team Bondi have closed their doors for good. Steve Jobs leaves behind him the sort of legacy that most of us will only ever dream about and the rest of us will spend time complaining about. The fact of the matter is, whether you love or hate Apple, his work has had an undeniable influence on the modern world and, on topic, mobile gaming, a fact that seems undeniable when Angry Birds, availa..."

"Even though you might be just starting to play Lonesome Road, Gun Runners’ Arsenal will be releasing next week and we have details on the many weapons, weapon mods, and ammo types that will be available on Xbox LIVE, PSN, and Steam. Also check out some new screens below."

A man going by the name Ulysses, who was also the first Courier Six, has just contacted you. He states that he can give you answers regarding the Platinum Chip and why he didn’t take the job to deliver it. There is a catch however as Ulysses tasks you with traveling to The Divide; an area ravaged by earthquakes and dangerous storms. Of course, it’s all entirely up to you to trust the man or not.

"Lonesome Road will be the final piece of DLC for Fallout: New Vegas and will see players going to the Divide to face the original Courier Six, the man named Ulysses. The content of the DLC has been hinted at in previous DLC packs but a trailer has been released that shows a little bit more."

"It can be tough to game on a budget, but not to worry. We’ve got a collection of sales here that even the most dedicated penny pincher will find appealing. Here are the top five video game and accessories that you can find for under $10. Enjoy the knowledge of knowing what you may have to spend when looking over a video game sale."

"Fans of Fallout: New Vegas will get the chance to finish up the story arc of the Courier on September 20th when Lonesome Road, the fourth and final DLC story pack, will be released on Xbox Live, Playstation Network and Steam. Bethesda has also announced the release of two additional DLC packs with more weapons and armor for the Courier to take advantage of. Check out the news below."

"Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are two of my favorite games to play on my Xbox 360 these days; they have fun gameplay, a rich backstory, tons of content and a fantastic atmosphere. Bethesda is planning on creating a new Fallout game that is called Fallout 4 for right now. Very little is known of the project or if it will even be completed as scheduled but that won’t stop me from listing what I want from a new installment in the series."

"Very few games keep me completely occupied for a long time. It probably takes me a week or two before I move on to something else. That is, until you bring up Fallout. I'll be honest; I never played the original Fallout games. My first time with Fallout was Fallout 3 on the Playstation 3, which introduced the franchise to many current-gen gamers. For it's time, Fallout 3 was one of the biggest and most detailed games ever released. It contained vast landscapes and a multitude of quests and we..."

A group of hackers have attempted to attack Bethesda websites and forums. Bethesda has urged its forum users to change their passwords not only on their sites, but other sites they might frequent as well. The studio also asked users to pay extra attention to their emails in fear of personal attacks.

The ability to make moral choices seems to be in most RPGs these days including blockbusters like Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 2, and Fallout: New Vegas. Here are three reasons why this feature has no place in video games.

Online retailer GameStop.com has heavily discounted the open-world role-playing game from Bethesda, Fallout: New Vegas for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Van Buren is the working code-name given to the aborted version of Fallout 3 developed by Black Isle Studios. While Fallout: New Vegas still moved the series forward, it had some elements from the fabled Van Buren. Even though not much Van Buren made it into New Vegas, some similarities can still be drawn

The famous book by Moira Brown and Lone Wanderer called “The True Wasteland Survival Guide” has some holes in information it provides. For one, it doesn’t have solutions for the bugs you would find in the game. Here is a short list of common fixes for Fallout: New Vegas.

"We've managed to crawl out of our own dark machines in order to record another podcast. Included in discussion this week are Dead Space 2, Little Big Planet 2, the Bulletstorm and Crysis 2 demos, Demon's Souls, Resonance of Fate, Fallout New Vegas, and more.

This week's news consists of mostly PSP2... I mean NGP. We also greet the return of user emails, and a bit of movie discussion. Stay tuned at the end of the show if you want to hear some spoiler talk about the ending of Dead Space 2. U..."

"When I played Fallout: New Vegas, I was hoping there wouldn't be crazy amounts of dialog repetition. But alas, I guess I was expecting too much. Nevertheless, strange dialog repetition is a very minor issue when compared to some of the game's more egregious and flagrant issues, which I'll address soon enough. Still, New Vegas is quite an entertaining game, which pleases me and disappoints me at the same time. Shouldn't broken games be looked down upon? I guess New Vegas is a sort of special e..."

"Many video games have inventories. Lets face it, any game that requires you to pick stuff up, carry stuff around, or use something typically has some form of inventory management. Whether its keeping tabs on how much ammo you have or making sure you still have room in your expansive (albeit invisible) rucksack that holds 150 fire arms, 12 outfits, 3 items of food or potions, and a fork, lute, cup, or cat (yeah Anders I’m looking at you) you have to remain aware of something you are lugging a..."

"Our staff has debated back and forth about the greatest games of the year. We've each offered up our own favorites for consideration -- games that stuck with us, games that blew us away, games that defined the year as a whole. But we could only choose fifteen. We have the final selection for you here."

"To play through just one of the several possible storylines can take up to 50 hours, so it's little wonder that players often go looking for a little help when they come to the crossroads.

That's where The Vault comes in. It's an enormous repository of knowledge about the Fallout universe maintained by a community of fans in a similar way to Wikipedia.

Inside The Vault are 11,532 pages of information about every quest, character and location in the Fallout series, generated by more than..."

Amazon is holding a “Buy 2 for $79” sale for select Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 games, including Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Fallout: New Vegas and more.

Sixteenth round of Articles of Excellence sees a now-and-again reviewer take the prize. Machienzo won with his Fallout: New Vegas review for PC, a lengthy but in-depth and insightful review. Scoring the game a nice 4.3/5, he praises the game for several enjoyable aspects including storyline, gameplay, and audio. Though some issues, like bugs, held the game back from higher scoring.

IGN's Michael Thomsen lists this year in terms of in game sex. Thomsen explains how sex in video games can be right and can be wrong in many ways. Thomsen also lists a few games which featured sex this year, this list consists of a few bloackbusters like Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redepmtion, Fallout: New Vegas and some not so well known games like Dinner Date and Every Day the Same Dream.

Some video game characters are heroic, some sexy, others silly. And then there are these folks, who are tougher to get a handle on. Presenting the most mysterious video game characters of all time.

With so many multiplatform and exclusive titles on the market, it can be a bit tough shopping for that PlayStation 3 owner you know. BrightHub narrows down the list and picks some of the best titles on the console so you won't have to stress out this holiday season.

"The Friend's List on XBox Live is perhaps one of those convenient aspects to the service that you do not really appreciate until you need it -- for example when a new game is released and you are looking for someone to play it with, the Friend's List is, well... Your Friend!

Chances are really good that you will quickly get an idea of who you can play with once you suss out who has the game -- and the List makes it even easier if they happen to be playing the game when you look, because it..."

"Although the podcast image this week may not suggest it, we are still playing and talking about video games such as Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Pacman CE DX, Call of Duty Black Ops, Fallout New Vegas, and as always more!

The second half of the show is also full of stuff this week, we answer two user e-mails, Pat's Movie Club returns as well as Andy's Book Club, and David has thrown his hat in with a TV Club!

Until next time, I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf..."

"With video games more expensive than ever, you would think that gamers would squeeze every last second of play out of them before moving on to the next adventure. But that's not always the case. Earlier this year, Bioware released some fascinating statistics about Mass Effect 2, but the stand-out figure was the revelation that only 50 -percent of players actually finished Commander Shepherd's mission to stop the Collectors."

All Age Gaming's John Elliott brings us his 13th Developer profile. In this profile he looks at the Fallout: New Vegas developer, Obsidian Entertainment.

Check out this Fallout: New Vegas video where a trophy is earned for discovery and some heads of young Cazadors are busted open. If you still haven't had a chance to see the game in action you will be able to see some of the level up perks and a look at the environment in this clip.

"I've already had a bit of a rant about Fallout: New Vegas in another of my blogs, which you can read right here, should your heart desire it. That blog was not centered exclusively around New Vegas though, and now, after playing through the majority of the game I have decided to list what for me took away the magic of New Vegas and left me disliking it more than liking it. Read on my fellow podunkers, and see if you too have experienced any of these post-apocalyptic annoying niggles:"

"Paul writes, "Make like Gustav Graves from Die Another Day and use beams of super-concentrated light to kill the NCR with the Archimedes II in Fallout New Vegas. In the following video you will see the weapon restored to its former glory (previously known as Helios One) and fire off three times at the unsuspecting buggers. As you can see from the top of the structure there is some type of energy being emitted to the sky which in turn triggers the air-strike of doom to fall upon all those who ..."

"For New Vegas, Josh (the Project Director) scoured tons of forums and articles related to Fallout 3 to find out what the community liked and didn’t like. We also checked out a lot of Fallout 3 mods, especially the more popular ones, to get a feel for what players were interested in. Thanks to the community, New Vegas has become a great game that has been positively influenced by their feedback and suggestions."

One thing you may have noticed in the Fallout: New Vegas game is that playable vehicles are still nowhere to be seen. Why is this the case? What would it mean for the game if they were ever implemented?

"Fallout New Vegas is another sequel that is marginally better than its predecessor, and yet not quite deserving of the same accolades. Fallout 3 revolutionized the series and was a true unique experience. New Vegas expands that with much better writing and improved quests. The Mojave Wasteland is a joy to explore and the improved RPG elements take Fallout closer to its roots. It’s the true re-boot of the Fallout series, but wouldn’t be here without the groundwork of Fallout 3. The aging tech..."

Check out this gameplay video of Fallout: New Vegas where the ghouls are up to no good. Thinking they are some aliens somehow and trying to leave Earth you will see how that plan goes when some one they took advantage of gets involved.

"In my Medal of Honor review recently, I pointed out how we’re seeing a myriad of reboots lately. Well, in 2008, a reboot of some significance was released, and it was called Fallout 3.

Never in my life have I seen more people pick up a title and not realize that there was a number on the end of it, denoting the fact that it was not a new series or IP.

Most of the audience who partook in Fallout 3 had never heard of the series before, essentially leading Bethesda to establish a massive n..."

"Factions are a different thing in this game. Whereas in Fallout 3, you had the good guys and the bad guys, it’s a little hazy in New Vegas. They all seem to be technically neutral, but out for their own means. Of course, the neutrality ends when two factions meet each other and the bullets start flying. It just seems that while not good or evil, the factions seem to be pushing ideology instead of stereotypical bad guy/good guy stuff. You’ll really have to put some thought into the faction you..."

With the success of Fallout 3 on the next generation consoles, fans were eagerly awaiting the next game in the series from developer Bethesda. Is Fallout New Vegas the game Fallout 3 fans have been waiting for? Or does it fall short of the cult hit? Read on to find out.

"The whole crew is in this week to discuss a cavalcade of games including but not limited to: Super Meat Boy, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Costume Quest, Medal of Honor, Fallout New Vegas, Halo Reach, and something called Fist of the North Star.

Our self-purported book and movie clubs take a break, but we stay strong with another user email question and other miscellaneous talk."

"Fallout: New Vegas was released just Tuesday in North America and just yesterday in Europe. New Vegas is about the player being betrayed and left for dead. After being patched up by the doctor while simultaneously creating your character, you’re left with an option before heading out of the operations room. To switch Hardcore mode on (which isn’t recommended) or keep it off and play the game Fallout 3 style."

Fallout Vegas is, by all accounts, buggy. Much like Red Dead Redemption these bugs are proving to be quite funny. Check out this scary video...it'll make your head spin.

"Fallout: New Vegas has vault-sized shoes to fill, and a minefield to cross. As fans of Fallout, we crave innovation, and yet, we grab the pitchforks when the status quo is challenged. Having Obsidian Entertainment at the helm hasn’t eased the tension either. They developed Neverwinter Nights 2, but they also created the abysmal mess that is Alpha Protocol. Are you worried yet?"

"Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout: New Vegas will be getting its first downloadable content this holiday season. Unfortunately for PS3 owners, the same deal Bethesda had with Microsoft for Fallout 3 still applies to New Vegas."

Viva New Vegas! What type of people do you expect to meet in New Vegas? What might they want to accomplish? Watch this exciting developers commentary about New Vegas Factions.

"It’s hard to do a preview of an open world RPG. The whole point is character and story progression, which can only be achieved though hours and hours of play. That said however, New Vegas was being shown at this year’s Eurogamer Expo, and I just had to get my thoughts about it out there."

"As a fan of Fallout 3 (with over 120 hours of my life invested in the game), you’ll understand my excitement at getting a chance to demo developer Obsidian’s forthcoming sequel, Fallout: New Vegas. At London’s Eurogamer Expo, a mob of gamers vying to grab one of the 20 or so available consoles surrounded the New Vegas stall. As fortune would have it, members of the Bethesda PR team started throwing out T-shirt freebies as I waited in line. A horde of swag hogs stampeded in their direction, th..."

With the closing release of New Vegas, publicists are hawking over all the Fallout scoops they can get to boost publicity in preparation for a highly anticipated series. However, much of that leaves a lot to be desired for, with the repetition of a lot of already known information and half-assed journalistic attempts. This NeoMember Exclusive guide hopes to change that, by providing New Vegas fans within the a comprehensive pre-release guide to one of the greatest games this season. The previ...

Newegg is discounting the prices for several big upcoming games for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, including Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and more.

With the great games that came out this year like Red Dead Redemption, God of War III, and the newly released Halo: Reach this year has been a great time to be a gamer. Thing is the year is coming to an end and its time to run down the remaining games coming out this Holiday season.

Can't wait for Fallout: New Vegas? I can't. This back story video is great. Find out what ispired the story of New Vegas. This game is going to rock!

"See? Video games can be educational, so the next time your mom accuses them of rotting your brain, tell her that at least you won’t be the one wallowing in a ditch as radiation slowly separates the blistered skin from her body. That’ll make her be quiet."

More information regarding the story has been released in this Developer Diary for New Vegas, made by the fine people at Obsidian. You might notice a few new things, such as a new Plasma Pistol and Player Animations.

So it looks like Dogmeat has been replaced by our robotic canine: Cyber-Hound Mk. III, LEO Support Model, Serial Number B955883, or as he is better referred to as Rex. Clocking in at 209 years old, he's developed a distaste for hats... and the people that wear them. Also note that Companions now have accompanying perks as well!

The Achievements List for the Xbox 360 version of the upcoming open-world role-playing game, Fallout: New Vegas (which will be released in October), has been revealed.

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has released a rating summary for the upcoming the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 role-playing game, Fallout: New Vegas

"These detail shots, while mind-meltingly bodacious, I’m sure do no justice to actually holding it in your hands, pretending as though you’re shooting a Raider in the face."

"He wouldn't go into specifics, except to assure me that Obsidian and Bethesda are "working on getting the game out the door first." But in case you were wondering, plans are certainly in place to put out New Vegas add-ons "after the fact.""

At Quakecon today Bethesda's Games Director, Todd Howard admitted why the games created by Bethesda never include ladders to climb without a loading screen.

The Director explained that the primary reason why there is no ladders to climb in the game environment is due to the fact that the their engine causes problems for the player character.

Is it me, or did that interviewer look like the Engineer from Team Fortress 2? 'Buildin' some credibility over 'ere'. Anyway, from the interview we learn that finally, you'll be given more than one safehouse. There are different ammo types and gun skills, and companions do have their own quest lines. Also, no DLC has been announced yet.

"Joystick: We did a few special things on twitter
FoxyKazoo: yeah, i saw the retweet for Xbox points, i did not win
Joystick: yeah, and WrathChild attempted to win, she tried to finagle her way in, we had to tell her she couldn't do that. So I do wish to formally apologize for last week. It was a little rude of me, and in case some of you are wondering what it is that I did, the one thing that I am apologizing for, not everything am I apologizing for, but the one thing. I apologize for makin..."

"Let's not contain the bias: Collector's editions are becoming increasingly desirable, probably because publishers keep pumping more and more drool-worthy extras inside the package.

Not to be outdone by the recently announced Halo special editions, Bethesda this morning revealed their Collector's Edition for Fallout: New Vegas, and it's loaded."

"In an SEC filing by Interplay posted today the company has revealed they do not plan on dropping their counter-suit against Bethesda over the Fallout franchise. Early today it was revealed Bethesda had dropped their appeal for an injunction that would effectively halt development of the Fallout MMO and Interplay's ability to sell past Fallout titles."

"Bethesda Softworks has released a brand new question and answer (Q&A) session in relation to the highly anticipated Fallout: New Vegas. "Naysayers may say that Microsoft has blown its load and 2009 was a glimpse into the future of the fall of popularity for the Redmond, Washington based company in the console space. Well, Microsoft isn’t going to go out without a fight and 2010 is shaping up to be a much better year for the console than 2009 was."

Fallout: New Vegas could be described as one of the most anticipated games of the year, successor to 2009's Game of the Year: Fallout 3. With a new city and tons of extra features added to the series, fans are licking their lips in anticipation for Obsidian's upcoming Fall Release of this sure-to-be top-selling game. Fallout: New Vegas' first ever game preview funnily enough comes in the form of an article by USA TODAY, rather than conventional gaming magazines. This of all coincidences, shou...

"Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that Fallout: New Vegas, the next chapter in the critically-acclaimed Fallout franchise, will be available in Fall 2010. The game is currently in development at Obsidian Entertainment for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows. The first trailer, which provides new insight into the game, is now available after the jump."

"We’re barely two weeks into 2010 and there’s already enough must-have games to choke one of Avatar’s six-legged horses. January alone is home to seven big-name releases, with February, March and April continuing the trend. Hell, we even know what’s coming in the summer and in some cases (like Halo Reach) we’re even certain of the fall’s heaviest hitters.

Collected here is every game that matters (so far) in 2010. Obviously some games will slip and others will be announced in June at E3, bu..."

Fallout: New Vegas was announced last year as a spin-off of Fallout 3, the highly successful RPG released in 2008 by Bethesda, the only details being that it would be set in Vegas, and would be developed by Obisidan. This poster at gamespot lists some very interesting facts about New Vegas, including a background system similar to Dragon Age: Origins, citing a "reliable source". Have a look.

"We contacted the Fallout publisher to find out its reaction, and were told, "Well he is a big part of our Fallout brand and is copyrighted, so, yeah, deciding on your own to use him to promote your business or product, or to sell stuff, or whatever, without getting permission from us ... not a good idea." Ruh oh!"

"Why would Zenimax and Bethesda buy the exclusive Fallout rights? Quite simply, ownership leverage. Acquiring the licensing rights allows Zenimax to set ludicrous conditions for Interplay and purposely led them to believe they would still be working on the MMO."

"Fallout New Vegas was announced moments ago during a Bethesda press conference in London.

The new game was revealed by Bethesda's Pete Hines who said that the publisher is working with Obsidian Entertainment on the title.

It will be coming out next year for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

"It is not a sequel to Fallout 3," Hines said. "It's simply another Fallout game in that universe.""
