Now that 2011 is done, I've compiled a best and worst of the past year. I talk about the hits and misses, Sony's plight, and shine some light on new IPs that deserve all the praise they get. Who will win game of the year? click to find out!

Fall is upon us and in some states that means no more dreadful summer temperatures. For everyone that means awesome video games are releasing. Yes this is the blockbuster months of video games, but unlike movies it’s a bit more costly for us to check them all out. With games costing 60 dollars with tax added on top of it, it's hard to keep up and afford everything that comes out. With that in mind I decided to help you guys with some ideas for getting all this year’s releases.

"Amazon is having another full day of lightning deals in video games, but, as usual, we only get clues about what items will be on sale until the sales begin. The first sale of the day has already started, and you only have two hours until that deal ends and another takes its place. Take a look at the clues and see if you can work out what video games will be included in the lightning deals later today."

"Overall, FEAR 3 is a great co-op action game, but a disappointing FEAR game. Fans of the series looking for closure or a similar tale with twists and surprises will be disappointed, however, those looking for a well put together first person shooter, with an emphasis on teamwork and a friend to play with will be very satisfied."

"F.E.A.R. 3 is an interesting beast. While the previous games in the series focused on explosive firefights and spine-chilling interludes, the focus has shifted to frenetic, point-scoring battle royales where the player, as protagonist Point Man, plows through each stage ripping through enemies all in the name of completing challenges combined with an explosive yet modest campaign, winning co-op, and vicious array of weapons. F.E.A.R. 3 is a pleasant, bloody surprise."

In this episode, the hosts talk about Alice: Madness Returns, Duke Nukem Forever, Dungeon Siege III, FEAR 3, Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax, Hard Lines, Marvel Pinball: Captain America, Shadows of the Damned, Tiny Tower, Trenched, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, and more.

"Oganalp Canatan of GamerGaia writes:"The first F.E.A.R. was fun. It had its down sides like being repetitive in level design, but it managed to capture the attention of players with a good AI, dark atmosphere and eerie situations. Then the game had various releases, certain problems regarding the naming rights, and eventually managed to come to its third release. F.3.A.R. (I will call it Fear 3 from now on) is a rather dull game. Do you want to know why? Well, please continue reading...""

"You play F.E.A.R. 3 as Point Man—-the familiar nameless, gun-hoarding, bullet-time wielding mute. Do not fret! He still has the slow-mo power (reflex-time) that has been getting you easy head shots since 2005. This slow-mo power is similar to Max Payne and the soldier from Mass Effect 2. Point Man can also melee attack, baseball slide (as I call it), and jump kick."

"If I have one major complaint about F.E.A.R. 3's core gameplay, it's in terms of grenade throwing. It's hard to use grenades in the game with any modicum of accuracy. Chucking grenades way over the intended target is more likely to happen than the perfect toss. Additionally, the AI glitched out on me once in a while, not reacting to my presence when I was clearly in view. None of this breaks the experience, but it certainly hampers it unnecessarily."

"Nobody likes paying top dollar for games, we are always looking for the best deals wherever we can and that's where Steam comes in. Every weekend the PC game digital distribution software Steam has a sale of mind blowing proportions. This week we have the first person shooter series F.E.A.R. on sale for a really good price."

"Fans of the survival-horror franchise F.E.A.R. should already know by now the heavy multiplayer component of the upcoming F.E.A.R. 3. Throughout the campaign, players can control the original Point Man and his disembodied ghost brother as they search for their mother, the now-pregnant Alma. Alma is destroying the world with her psychic nightmares, so the campaign alone should please players who want to go solo or team up."

"Not since the word “deathmatch” was coined has there been a game mode as easily summed up as “F**king Run,” the new multiplayer mode for the upcoming multi-platform title F.E.A.R. 3. We were recently given the chance to try out this interesting take on cooperative multiplayer, and the mode definitely lives up to its title."

"It appears that F.E.A.R. 3, the upcoming horror first-person shooter developed by Day 1 Studios, has been delayed a few months. Originally slated for a March 22 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, the title has been pushed back to May."

"Seeming to disregard Project Origin, F.3.A.R skips back to the story of brothers Pointman and P-Fet, back from the dead and buddy-buddy. Both brothers uneasily allied in an effort to find Alma, and the “Child” she may carry after the events of Project Origin, although their motives may differ. Having been killed via headshot in the first game, I’m interested to see why Paxton still lives, if you can call it that..."

2010 was another hot year for video games. With titles such as Marvel vs. Capcom 3, LittleBigPlanet 2, Lost in Shadow, and Okamiden already confirmed for 2011, the new year looks pretty bright too. BrightHub looks ahead at some of the hottest upcoming releases of 2011.

"The horrible game trailer is by no means an endangered species. Honestly, there’s so many bad ones running wild that settling on a mere five as the absolute worst is really quite difficult. That said, we’re pretty confident we’ve singled out the cream of the crap with these outstanding bits of trailer trash. Prepare to lose precious minutes that you’ll never get back."

"It’s has been awhile since anyone has heard or seen anything directly from Warner Bros or Day 1 Studios about F.E.A.R. 3. It seems they are going to break the silence this week at PAX, but we seemed to have somehow got the screens a bit early."

F.E.A.R 3, will not be shipped out at fall this year as they had originally intended.

The reason for this delay is unknown due to the fact the Warners Bro representative did not provide a reason.

"F.E.A.R 3 lets you play Point Man, F.E.A.R 1 original hero wasn’t in F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin’s main character who was a totally new one (from the Delta Force soldier: Michael Becket). Alma, the main supernatural character, sexually trapped Becket to create a super-natural son such as Point Man and Paxton Fettel. Point Man is back to solve the situation, his angry-ghosted brother after / with him (Point Man killed him at the end of the 1st game)."
