Video games are a medium filled with lousy stories, absurd scenarios and otherwise ridiculous plot points. That said, there are also some real gems out there. The sort that rise above the stupidity of their bretheren and prove that yes, gaming can be a real, honest-to-goodness medium for storytelling. Sadly, few can do this perfectly. Even in the best games there are those moments where you just have to sit back and wonder what they were thinking.
This week: Final Fantasy IV
"If you havent realized I work in video game retail at Frys Electronics (one of the biggest national electronics retailers) recently we received a fresh stock of PSone games, which I thought were out of print years ago. Its only two titles of course they are Final Fantasy titles. I guess Sonys not gonna quit their support of the PSone especially since they play on ALL PS3 models.

Just how much do you love your relationship with the global Nintendo DS phenomenon? And exactly how deep are your gaming pockets? For why? Because no sooner is the Pikachu yellow DS Lite announced than developer Square Enix chucks a swanky embossed "Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Rings of Fates" DS Lite model own out the door. Will the limited-edition DS madness ever end? We still want one though.
