"I’ve always taken pleasure in anything to do with fighting; whether it be Karate, Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, or a simple bar brawl, the sight of two (or more) men getting it on with their bare fists was always a fascinating one. I’ve indulged in these pleasures of the flesh both actively and passively. I suppose that’s mostly a guy thing, though some girls might enjoy kicking some butt as well. All of this started out at a young age, watching kids’ TV shows like Power Rangers. When the show was o..."

In honor of the “Sugar” Shane and “Money” Mayweather fight tonight, EA Sports is holding a tournament in Fight Night Round 4 for players to prove their mettle in the virtual ring.

"The Sun has reported that four year-old Riley Brown of West Sussex found a little something extra in the used copy of Fight Night Round 4 his father bought from him from a local Blockbuster Video: A tiny bag of cannibis tucked behind the instruction manual. Has outrage ensued?

That was a rhetorical question.

What's so funny to me about this story is the reaction of the father when the boy brought him the baggie: "I checked and realised. I was horrified and took it off him straight away...."

"As we reported yesterday, Sony is adding new games to the "Greatest Hits" collection. However, Sony has now confirmed that there are ten games getting added and not just the five that were showin in the Wal-Mart flyer. Expect to start seeing the fancy new red boxes and $29.99 prices at retailers in the next couple of weeks."

"It’s the sixth day of Christmas and for many Christmas Day will now be a distant memory. Hopefully you’ve been given plenty of videogames to ease the stress of getting back to normal life and you’re getting stuck in to your favourites. If you do happen to venture out, however, Electronic Theatre is on hand with suggestions as to what you should look out for in the January sales. Electronic Theatre’s The Twelve Games of Christmas series, one article every day for the twelve days of Christmas, ..."

EA pulled out the DLC 'Champions Pack 2' because the DLC was reported by gamers to have problems downloading it and freezing their Xbox 360. As of now the DLC is not available for anyone to download, however, there are still some people that are playing a part of the DLC now.

Details and pricing have been announced for the upcoming Fight Night Round 4 DLC and patch extravaganza on December 3rd. New content includes a major patch, as well as new boxers, Old School rules, and Ring Rivalries, to name a few.

"Electronic Arts Inc. has announced today that it will be releasing a new Downloadable Content (DLC) pack for Fight Night Round 4 in early December for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. The DLC pack retails for 800 MS Points and £9.99 on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network respectively."

"Electronic Arts has announced that its first downloadable boxer pack for Fight Night Round 4 is now available on the PLAYSTATION Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Featuring Oscar De La Hoya, Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko, and alternate versions of George Foreman and James Toney, the downloadable boxer pack retails for 400 Microsoft points and $4.99 on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PLAYSTATION Network, respectively."

"For 800 Microsoft points and/or $9.99, depending on your system, you'll get Oscar De La Hoya, Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko, and alternate versions of George Foreman and James Toney. Then they'll be able to beat the stuffing out of each other.

Electronic Arts has a free update planned as well, which includes less exciting things like new trunks, gloves and shorts. More enticing is the promised button-based control scheme, which anyone turned off by Fight Night's adherence to stick b..."

Fight Night 4 announces the first download pack with a roster of Oscar De La Hoya and some alternatives too james toney and George Foreman. This is going to be great but what's great is at the end of the month we all will be able to use face buttons.

When Fight Night Round 3 was released, it was the king of the Boxing game genre. Although more boxing games have been released since, none have come close to Fight Night Round 3. Is Fight Night Round 4 another leap forward in the boxing genre? Read the full review to find out.

"As some of you might already know, the first DLC pack for FN Round 4 was released today for the Xbox 360. For all you PS3 fans, you will have to wait till August 6th for the new content. The add-on will be available via the Xbox Marketplace for FREE! That’s right people, you can enjoy all the new Fight Night stuff free of charge. But don’t get too excited because the DLC doesn’t include a whole lot."

"EA SPORTS have announced that Club Fight Night is now open in PlayStation Home. The club features content pulled directly from Fight Night Round 4, such as the main room, stage and a full sized boxing ring. The seats and chairs have been replaced with plenty of club type seating, including a VIP booth with a DJ table."

"The latest in EA SPORTS’ Current-Generation releases is a sigh of relief to many. Fight Night Round 3 was acknowledged as a fine, if flawed, Boxing game for the new crop of consoles, but as the hardware has aged the expected sequel seemed less-and-less likely, seemingly passed-over for the decidedly underachieving Facebreaker. All that waiting has now ended, however, with the release of Fight Night Round 4."

"The first DLC pack, which will be available for free to both Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) users by early August, will include a new training gym, new gameplay sliders, as well as a host of new equipment that can be used for outfitting boxers. Xbox 360 users will also receive an exclusive alternate version of Sugar Ray Leonard in their first DLC pack, courtesy of Pizza Hut."

"With its potent combination of no school and dangerous UV rays, summer is a great time for gamers. In the past, very few good games would come out between mid-June and mid-September, but based on the wealth of great titles on deck, those days are officially gone. Take a break from the blazing sun and enjoy some serious play time with these ten terrific summer games."

"EA will be releasing DLC in August and a free update in September. The update will give the user the ability to reconfigure punches to the XYAB buttons instead of having to use the analog stick for punches.

While this will definitely please a lot of users who were complaining about the new control scheme, this will also make an uneven playing ground for those taking their bouts online (with button punchers having an advantage). However, in the end this might help EA gain some leverage i..."

EA Sports has captured the hearts of gamers with an amazing boxing game Fight Night Round 4. Although there's tons of additions to this great game there's also something that's missing and that's the Face Button Configuration. Will we get it back considering Fight Night is still at the top of the charts?

"Few may remember when Fight Night took a step forward to becoming top dog when it comes to boxing games. The one that started it all was Fight Night 2004. This is when EA decided to go away from the standard punching controls and went with the right analog stick controls. Since then every new Fight Night has brought just a little more innovation. Round 2 brought us the EA Cutman mini-game and Round 3 brought us a first glimpse at what next-gen graphics can give us. With EA Chicago closing dur..."

"Fight Night Round 4 seems to have taken this task in its stride, making all others who have isolated either their followers or those treading the water appear ignorant in their disposition. There will always be those who would prefer pressing a button to the initially imprecise nature of the Right Analogue stick, but this audience is already well catered for with Street Fighter IV, Soul Calibur IV and the forthcoming Tekken 6. To those looking at Fight Night Round 4 for an authentic Boxing si..."

Fight Night Round 3 set a new standard in boxing games when it came out on the Xbox 360. With Fight Night Round 4, EA are aiming to take the boxing genre to the next level with unbelievable visuals and outstanding physics. To learn a bit more about the game, we bring you this Q&A with FNR4 producer Mike Mahar.

"One of the newest editions to Fight Night 4 is the Online Championship Mode, for the first time ever we can have a world champion in a videogame, now this is a revolution."

"The Fight Night Round 4 demo is now available to download via XBOX Live. Fight Night Round 4 is one of the most anticipated games of the year. With an all new physics based gameplay engine, unique boxer styles, the fastest and truest representation of the "Sweet Science", and the most impressive boxer roster ever. Fight Night Round 4 takes video game boxing up to a new level. The demo is 784.12MB and well worth the download."

Electronic Arts have announced a large list of games that they will be showcasing at this years E3, which is only days away! Featuring titles like Fifa 10 and Fight Night Round 4, this years E3 is going to be a good one.

"RatedG4Gamer got their little hands on the upcoming demo for Fight Night Round 4. We have just posted up a video which covers all the new features that will be included in the full game."

"The Fight Night Round 4 pre-release demo has been available to those that pre-ordered for almost a week (public demo to be released 6/4/09 on the PSN). The biggest issue has been the removal of the face buttons for punching. Fight Night Round 3 allowed you a choice between using the analog stick (called TPC, Total Punch Control) or by using the face buttons of your controller."

"In a strange (and disturbing) turn of events for EA Sports Fight Night Round 4, the Xbox 360 version will be receiving an ‘exclusive’ cover athlete. Instead of the international cover image of Muhammad Ali squaring off against Mike Tyson, the Australian Xbox 360 cover art will incorporate Ali vs ‘The Man’, Anthony Mundine…

Anthony Mundine could be considered a strange choice for the cover of Fight Night Round 4, given his ‘either love or hate him’ persona, but this could actually benefit t..."

"The Fight Night Round 4 demo is now available on the PSN for those of us that scored a pre-order code from your local GameStop. The demo went live for Australia and European PS3 owners yesterday and this evening it was realesed on the North American PSN. Still no sign of the demo on XBOX Live, but it is still scheduled for sometime on the 14th."

"PlayStation: The Official Magazine has the skinny on Fight Night Round 4. They have confirmed a list of fighters available on the disc and there is early word of future DLC that will add to add to the roster. You can also use your own mug via the “Photo Game Face”."

Fifteen new screenshots for EA's Fight Night Round 4 have been sent out, looking good as ever.

A few are included here; rest are at on the game's profile (link below).

EA has released a trailer for Fight Night Round 4 depiciting the game's physics, and we have to say it's nothing short of impressive -- and those graphics ain't too shabby either. ;)

Our staff writer Kevin Spiess got some hands-on time with the game recently..the verdict? "Not bad." Well, judge for yourself! Might want to head to the game's profile (linked below) and fullscreen this one.

This is an interesting preview from associate editor Chris Plante. I am going crazy waiting for Fight Night Round 4 to arrive, and with each new news item, my anticipation increases.

This preview is interesting because 1) Chris Plante isn't a ravenous boxing fan like I am, so his praise and optimism has amplified my own by 50%, 2) the reveal that the button control scheme is gone: This is huge, and has been the subject of a very public debate between me and Jeff "Finger" Buckland over at ...

"Muhammad Ali, the most celebrated boxer of all time, was famous for his quick tongue and his even quicker hands that wore down his opponents fight after fight. Ali was the first fighter in history to win the undisputed heavyweight championship three times, and is highly revered for his contribution to the sport of boxing. Mike Tyson, a knock out legend, will join Ali on the cover. The youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight championship, Tyson enthralled the world with his precision, power, ..."

Electronic Theatre hosts a trailer released today by Electronic Arts for EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 4 coming to PLAYSTATION3 and Xbox360 in early 2009.

LIVE on Sunday, December 14th at 9pm.

Charles Herold has typed up an article about what he thinks would be the best five games out of a list that should've been on the Nintendo Wii but weren't.

He gives a description of each game, why it would work well with Wii and the likeliness of if it will ever grace the Wii.

What games would you like to see on the Wii but aren't?
