So who directed Final Fantasy X? Motomu Toriyama, Takayoshi Nakazato and Toshiro Tsuchida were the three directors on Final Fantasy X. Final Fantasy X was a great game and many FF fans loved it, same goes for Final Fantasy VII and so on. FF XII was a biggest letdown in the series..

"There’s one major flaw with Final Fantasy Type-0: It’s on the PSP and not the PS3. This obviously shows that Square Enix seems to have lost their way when it comes to promoting and moving the Final Fantasy franchise forward in the mainstream.

So what’s wrong with the game being on the PSP? Absolutely nothing. However, it should also be on the PS3 leading the way for what an evolved JRPG should be."

"Today has seen the kickoff of the New York Comic Con and with that, a ton of news from the gaming world. One franchise in particular has seen a ton of news today and that is the always-popular Final Fantasy series. There has been news on the Playstation 3 version of Final Fantasy 14, a new trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2 and more so check out our full wrap up of Final Fantasy news below!"

Several new screenshots have been revealed by Square Enix Japan for their upcoming PSP exclusive action role-playing handheld title, Final Fantasy Type-0.

Final Fantasy Type-0 will soon be getting a Japanese demo titled "Natsubi". It is still uncertain if or when the US and Europer will see a demo or even a likely release date for western audiences.

A big batch of new screenshots has been revealed by Square Enix for their handheld role-playing game coming exclusively to the PSP, Final Fantasy Type-0.

Final Fantasy Type-0 previously know as Agito XIII is shaping up to be an amazing looking RPG. A nice blending of elements from classic Final Fantasy games and new gameplay elements like action combat and multiplayer. Check out the 11 minute gameplay video with developer commentary!

"With everyone's attention being grasped by Final Fantasy XIII-2 and wondering if it will indeed be any good and revive some Final Fantasy magic in our hearts, the upcoming PSP title Final Fantasy Type-0 has somewhat fell under the radar. The game itself was originally billed to be released this summer, but now the game's developers have pushed the title back to later this year, citing the Playstation Network outage as the main reason behind this decision."

Several new screenshots have been released by Square Enix Japan for the action role-playing title that is coming exclusively to the PSP, Final Fantasy Type-0.

Square Enix, during their 1st Production Department Premiere in Roppongi Hills, has formally unveiled the rumored Final Fantasy Type-0. Final Fantasy Type-0 is the new title for the publisher's PSP title Final Fantasy Agito XIII. The game is scheduled for a summer 2011 release in Japan and will ship on 2 UMDs.

TK Nation has been alerted to the presence of leaked footage revolving around Final Fantasy Versus and Final Fantasy Agito. And thus, we have the footage compiled and brought to the public for their viewing pleasure.

"Asked for a status update on Agito's production, Tabata said "The 3rd Birthday takes priority, but development is still steadily progressing. I believe it will be an FF that differs from the image fans have."

Asked what this means, he responded, "We're making it into a game where you can feel the true pain and weight as a war story. Because it has some harsh portrayals, Kitase (producer Yoshinori Kitase) is freqently making checks."

The Art Director for FINAL FANTASY Agito XIII has recently commented on the Square Enix Members Twitter Page on the progress of Agito.

He didn't say much, but he notes that they will be able to show something soon. With E3 coming up, maybe we will get an Official Announcement for the English Release of Agito?

Always good to see FNC news.

In a recent interview with Motomu Toriyama, he revealed some small information about the upcoming games in the Fabula Nova Crystallis Series, FINAL FANTASY Versus XIII and FINAL FANTASY Agito XIII.

He stated that Versus and Agito wont be Sequels to the recently released title FINAL FANTASY XIII. They will be their own stories, but will follow a Common Mythos. Players of FFXIII will already be aware of the Fal'Cie and L'Cie. These are set to appear in the upc...

"In the most recent issue of Famitsu, Nomura reveals that he is working on two unannounced titles. He gives some updates, saying that they are working to bring up the quality so that the difference between real time and pre-renders in the upcoming Final Fantasy Versus XIII is seamless. He also says that development for Agito is going favorably."

In the latest Famitsu, Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura and Motomu Toriyama discussed Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Final Fantasy Agito XIII and a little bit of Parasite Eve: Third Birthday. Most of it wasn't overly new information, though it was mentioned that FFXIII will be install-free on the PS3.

Whilst many were hoping that Square Enix would divulge some new information regarding certain titles, particularly Final Fantasy Versus XIII, at the Tokyo Game Show, it appears that Square have no plans to do so, rather their TGS line-up will focus solely on their Winter line-up of Final Fantasy XIII and Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.

Square Enix definitely seem to have some Final Fantasy XIII related planned for E3 this year and whilst all that is going on it seems that the focus is now turning to Versus and Agito XIII as FFXIII nears release.

The last time we saw anything from Final Fantasy Agito XIII it was still been hailed as a mobile phone exclusive. Lo-and-behold the game has had a complete revamp since it was announced for PSP late last year. Unlike it's console cousins this game is yet to get the attention it fully deserves so be sure to check it out!

For a PSP fan like myself, this type of a list is always a good thing. Gamasutra takes a look at the would-be best PSP games of 2009.

Remember how CLOUD Volume II was leaked a day early yesterday?

Well it looks like Square Enix aren't having much luck, with their other artbook Re: Final Fantasy XIII, being leaked a day early too.

... But's not just an artbook. Its little surprise should be hitting the web anytime now;

Due for release tommorow, it seems that scans of CLOUD have already leaked the internet containing Final Fantasy XIII Compilation, and we've got them all for you below.

While I think Square Enix are getting kind of greedy to be forcing people to buy a book to learn info about their titles I'm sure most fans won't matter. On Amazon Japan a second Cloud book is up, to be released on December 12th, already announced to be packed with screenshots, art and info on all the games and products mentioned below. Let's hope its actually something substantial this time, rather than the tiny fragments we usually get.

Within the past several years, Square Enix has been on the ball with remakes of their classic Final Fantasy games. And rumors of a remake for the huge and popular Final Fantasy 7 have been been buzzing around the net.

Square Enix president Yoichi Wada explains how there has been a remake boom lately, "The price of games is high, and consumers tend to be wary of buying games they are unfamiliar with".

That's an interesting reason for the increase of remake talk, but SE fans hope they do...

Again from this week's issue of Weekly Famitsu, come new screenshots for Square Enix's upcoming Final Fantasy Agito XIII for the PlayStation Portable. Some story sequences are depicted, along with a screenshot of the game's battle system, which is modified from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, featured with ATB and the ability to control multiple characters. There will be some ad-hoc and infrastructure wireless play implemented.

We've already seen alot of these screens from the latest Japanese Famitsu scans, but the Chinese Famitsu have put together a nice batch of the newest Final Fantasy XIII, Versus XIII and Agito screenshots and they are *gasp* fantastic quality, showing amazing detail in the character designs, locations and enemies.

We got a little sneak peak yestarday and here comes the full feature.

Famitsu/Degenki have managed to grab some brand new and exclusive Final Fantasy XIII images, that haven't seen in any trailers, showing new sequences and enemies. The magazine also confirms that Snow's full name is "Snow Villiers".

The Versus XIII images are taken from the brand new Tokyo Game Show trailer and have been confirmed as in-game. Agito is now flaunting it's new look too with some new gameplay screenshots....

Well would you look at that - A much needed Final Fantasy XIII, Versus XIII and Agito XIII update.

On the FFXIII side of things we get a little insight into the new trailer shown at DKS3713 and the Tokyo Game Show, showing some new locations, a new airship and even one of the new characters !

Final Fantasy Agito XIII is by far the lesser known title amongst the Fabula Nova Crystallis collection, but hopefully not for much longer. Now confirmed as a PSP exclusive game, this game can only be described as Square Enix's take on the Monster Hunter franchise as the title will boast many MMORPG features off the bat.

Square Enix has created their website for the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, and has uploaded their show lineup:

[NDS] Cid and Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon: Toki Wasure no Meikyuu DS+ [Playable, Video]

According to a interview translated by FinalFantasy-XIII.net with Square Enix designer Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy XIII Agito, which is coming out for the PSP and mobile phones, won't hit shelves in Japan until FFXIII and Versus are finished.

During the Square Enix Party new trailers for both Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII were shown, both with in-game footage. Today scans of the latest Famitsu PS3 were leaked and translations, as well as impressions from the event, have revealed that all the images are in fact real-time !

Gamers that've been looking to get their console Parasite Eve on for awhile now (ten years if you exclude the sequel, as some loyalists would), are in luck..kinda. The 3rd Birthday was announced for mobile phones some time ago, a spin-off from the PE series which features, to some extent anyway, series heroine Aya Brea. The great news here is at Squenix’s DKΣ3713 party in Tokyo the other day, it was announced the title is now coming to PSP as well.

Furthermore, Final Fantasy Agito XIII has...

Recently Square Enix announced one of there cell phone games was to be cancelled due to financial reasons. It was speculated Final Fantasy XIII Agito was the unlucky victim as reported here

However in a upcoming event Square Enix have confirmed two of its biggest cell phone titles Agito and Kingdom Hearts: Coded making an appearance. Not much point to be advertising a cancelled product is there so these two titles at least appear to be safe.

Remember Final Fantasy XIII: Agito? It was a cell phone game in the "Fabula Nova Crystallis" series (which also includes FFXIII and FFvsXIII).

Today Square Enix announced that one of their cell phone games has been cancelled, and it sounds like Agito might have been it.

A member of ff-13.com named "Lant" has come across new scans for the cell-phone game Final Fantasy Agito XIII. The scans include details on the characters and weapons. Lant has kindly translated them into English.

A new screenshot of Lightning performing a possible ice or gravity attack, in Final Fantasy XIII, has also surfaced in the magazine. We have previously seen this scene in the Tokyo Game show 2006 trailer, however this particular angle/shot is brand new. Does this mean there's the...
