Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon

Within the past several years, Square Enix has been on the ball with remakes of their classic Final Fantasy games. And rumors of a remake for the huge and popular Final Fantasy 7 have been been buzzing around the net.

Square Enix president Yoichi Wada explains how there has been a remake boom lately, "The price of games is high, and consumers tend to be wary of buying games they are unfamiliar with".

That's an interesting reason for the increase of remake talk, but SE fans hope they do...

At the Square Enix Members Virtual World Special Preview Event last night, the RPG powerhouse Square Enix announced two new games for the Nintendo DS. Both will star everyone's favorite little bird, Chocobo, which will no doubt become quality additions to the DS library.

The first game revealed is Cid and Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon: Maze of Time DS+, which will be a port of the Wii title Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon. Like the original, this game is a roguelike, and will feat...

A slim but good week for younger and older folks alike this time 'round. PC gamers get Devil May Cry 4, console owners get Civilization Revolution on everything but the Wii (it's already doing very well in reviews), and more youthful gamers should appreciate Wonder World Amusement Park and Carnival Games, while Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon is anticipated to be enjoyed by all.

On a related note, Devil May Cry is set to pop up on the PSP at some point in the future.
