Square-Enix has finally, after much delay, released the classic strategy RPG, Final Fantasy Tactics, for iOS today. You can purchase the app at the app store for $15.99 and the game is set to release on iPad later this month.

"The PSP has - despite what some people insist - a seriously impressive library of great titles, especially RPGs. In fact, you could argue that the handheld has more quality role-playing games than the PS3 does. That’s why it was so hard to narrow this list down to just five games. These five, however, represent the best of the best on the PSP - not the most hyped or the most overrated (hence the lack of both Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep). These games are c..."

Maybe it's because every game, we have to warm up to new characters and worlds. Square sets itself up for hit and miss titles with no character regularity. The only motif running through the series I can identify is a blond guy and clueless protagonists. Most of the recent Final Fantasy games (dare I say Square ..."
