Given the fact FFXIII-2 was announced back at E3 2006 and the fact even now details on the game are minimal and even the fact were getting a sequel to FFXIII first it should be in the back of PS3 owners minds until we get a release date.
"Square Enix was extremely busy in 2006. In addition to completing and releasing Kingdom Hearts II and Final Fantasy XII, the publisher announced three games at E3: Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Agito XIII, and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. This trio was collectively called Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII, with each game supposedly connected to the others by a common world or theme, though each would have its own plot, characters, and timeline. Since then, only one of those games ha..."
"2) Fanboyism
4 years ago I was in a conversation with two game design students who were telling me how lame my Xbox 360 is. They were telling me how much Halo sucks, and the graphics aren’t that good (really, that’s all you’ve got?). They said the PS3 will cure cancer, act as a slurpee machine, and acts as a ticket into heaven. Also, it would be home to the next iteration of Final Fantasy that would cure the remaining cancer the PS3 couldn’t as well as AIDS. Of course these people didn’t own..."
"As of this writing, we’re already three weeks into 2010. The “new” year is already practically ancient, and pretty soon we’ll have run out of time to make wild, erratic, entirely factual predictions about things that will happen over the next 11 months. First off, we have the indie community, which bewails its unrecognized genius and occasionally screams “sellout!” whenever someone in the community actually manages to make a hit.
Then we have the AAA industry, which often claims that it can’t take the kind of risks that innovation require..."

"The allure just isn't there anymore for the Final Fantasy titles and we have to ask why. Loyal fans try to create hype, but the games are just not combining new and old expectations. Maybe it's because every game, we have to warm up to new characters and worlds. Square sets itself up for hit and miss titles with no character regularity. The only motif running through the series I can identify is a blond guy and clueless protagonists. Most of the recent Final Fantasy games (dare I say Square ..."
