"GamingUnion: "In honour of Final Fantasy XIII-2's release this past week, we've decided to compile a list of our ten favourite Japanese role-playing games for the current home console / handheld generation. While things have been tough in general for Japan as of late, there have been a numerous titles to truly capture the spirit of a JRPG and pushed the genre in new directions."
"With the 3DS inbound stateside in the next few weeks and the NGP looking to dazzle us with its unbeatable shinyness, it’s fairly safe to say the PSP is coming to its end. We’ve decided to celebrate its checkered life by recounting a few of the best PSP games."
"We all have our favorite video game character, right? But what character is the top character of all time? Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer's Edition (out now, $12.99 for ebook, $14.99 for print) chimes in with its Top 10, voted on by more than 13,000 fans on the Guinness website. And Mario takes the top spot.
Nintendo had 11 characters in the Top 50, followed by Sony and Capcom with six and five, respectively. Five characters came from the year 1966, followed by 1987, 2001 and 2007 with ..."
"Points for a Remake: 1
On the subject of One Winged Angel, I'd also love to see my favourite Final Fantasy 7 scenes remastered with soaring orchestral versions of the original soundtrack. I'll be the first to admit I got goosebumps when One Winged Angel's superb orchestral version kicked off in Advent Children, playing as Cloud battled Sephiroth. I also loved the battle theme played on piano, and I long for the day I'm skilled enough to play it myself. I give praise to anyone who can mas..."
"Last week’s Electronic Theatre Sunday Special was the run down of Top Ten Videogame Heroes; featuring the protagonist you loved like Sam Fisher, Sonic the Hedgehog and Link. So to prove that the games industry isn’t just a man’s game, this week we focus on the Top Ten Videogame Heroines. Ten of the females that got you hot under the collar, and not in the Dead or Alive Paradise way, but stayed on track with the heroic mission which faced them have been chosen for this week’s feature article."
"Since there are literally hundreds of thousands of games out there, it’s no easy task for lead characters to make a lasting impression on the player. Once in a while however, you'll come across a leader that's different. Somehow, that character manages to set himself apart from the others."
"When it comes to memorable characters that stand out as much for their appearance as they do for the part they play in a game, the Final Fantasy franchise has plenty. The one game that stands out in the series the most has been Final Fantasy VII for several years now."
"Final Fantasy is one of the most famous franchises in gaming history and for good reason. The gameplay has evolved over the years and pleased gamers on everything from the original NES to the WonderSwan and still entrances gamers on the PS3 and 360. But there's another appeal factor about this series."
I had the pleasure of recording a podcast with three Final Fantasy enthusiasts. I did not talk and they spoke on everything within the series. See the description. download through iTunes, though Zune, or download the mp3 directly
GameDaily gives its own take at which RPG style is superior in the categories of the classic RPG, the MMORPG, the tactical RPG, the action RPG, most emotionally engaging (contains FFVII and Mass Effect spoilers), and the overall winner.
Though you might not agree with everything stated, it is an interesting read on a topic that continues to spur the interest of RPG fans.
Game Podunk introduces a new editorial series, "What If," where Podunk editors formulate bizarre, far-fetched, and possibly believable outcomes to popular questions that gamers ponder when playing their games. For the first "What If" series, Podunk editors grab a rather unforgettable scene from the beloved game, Final Fantasy VII, in light of the upcoming release of Final Fantasy XIII.
So sit back and enjoy some of the strange answers to: "What If: Aerith Never Died by Sephiroth's Blade?"
"Zack Fair, from Final Fantasy VII and Crisis Core, will make an appearance in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Like Cloud Strife, he’s in the Olympus Colosseum. The scan from Shonen Jump shows Ventus and Zack as friends while Zack clashes with Terra.
When Terra (the character who looks remarkably like Zack) and Zack settle their differences they can team up for a Dimension Link attack called “Heroes Pride.” Dimension Link attacks are sort of like summons. You can link up with characters fro..."
"Below we have a list of possibly some of the best endings out there. But be warned, everyone probably has a special game in their heart with an ending that gave them goose bumps and made them feel all gooey on the inside, but sadly we cannot cover them all."
Game Podunk continues the article series, 25 Things About Me, where video game character create their list of 25 things about themselves. Although much of the information included in these lists will come from facts about the character from their games, Game Podunk adds a hint of their own imagination to fill in the blanks.
Here's 25 Things about the famous Cloud Strife from the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII by Square-Enix.
"Square Enix's Yoshinori Kitase has admitted that the Japanese software giant may end up developing yet more additions to the Final Fantasy VII universe, despite the fact the release Advent Children Complete on Blu-ray was supposed to signal the end of any FFVII-related productions."
We certainly got excited when an article was submitted concerning a Master Sword becoming a reality. Thanks to Sub-Zero of unrealitymag.com, you can check out eleven others as well in his gallery! (Including a Master Sword as a twelfth)

"We look at the top 12 games from several platforms in order to determine which are the Top 12 Overall Games for 2008, and you might just be surprised at the overall winner for 2008 - coming from an Xbox site. OXCGN (aka XboxOZ360-gamer) has always maintained that the staff are gamers - not fanbois. Most have more than 2 consoles and platforms to play games on and simply enjoy gaming period.
So what better way to round off the year than to take a look at what we believe to be the top ..."
Within the past several years, Square Enix has been on the ball with remakes of their classic Final Fantasy games. And rumors of a remake for the huge and popular Final Fantasy 7 have been been buzzing around the net.
Square Enix president Yoichi Wada explains how there has been a remake boom lately, "The price of games is high, and consumers tend to be wary of buying games they are unfamiliar with".
That's an interesting reason for the increase of remake talk, but SE fans hope they do...
Here's a cute little idea ...
Have you ever wondered what the Final Fantasy VII characters might sound like if they could sing? No? Well luckily, almost any Japanese person who is remotely famous will have sung a song sometime during their life. So, here are a few songs sung by the Japanese voice-actors of the FFVII Compilation ...
^ Maaya Sakamoto (Aerith's voice actor)
^ Toshiyuki Morikawa (Sephiroth's voice actor)
"Damn, that girl is smokin... oh... that's a guy? Surely, we've all fallen victim to such a scenario. Not you, you say! Youre a hardcore gamer with 20/20 vision and a keen eye for Adam's apples and moose knuckles? Fine! Many of us aren't as perceptive, so weve decided to highlight those brave folks who might not have gotten their sex across the first time around."
Another definitive review from Gamingverdict- Don't believe the hype, find out whether or not the game's really for you. Editor of GV, Matt Lees thinks that Crisis Core is a nice little game, but if you're not a massive fan of FFVII, chances are you're not going to get on with the highly prestigious PSP title.
The queens of the Pwn Age are at it again with their review of Crisis Core on the PSP. A good review that comes straight from the most popular online review team in Scotland.
Last year it was announced that Japan would be recieving 77,777 limited edition silver Crisis Core PSP bundles. The rest of the world sighed in disappointment at not recieving any Crisis Core specials, (unless you were an American who recieved the 'bonus' UMD case.
Well it looks like Europe gets a surprise for having to wait so long for the game. They are getting the limited edition PSP bundles too!
The Crisis Core bundles go on sale this month.
We're all familiar with the Final Fantasy VII Compilation and many fans would agree that the compilation as a whole has been mediocre or disappointing.
Sirlarr from GamesAreFun would certainly agree. He's tired of the "j-pop ultra-fashion Nomura bullcrap" that Square Enix have added to the FFVII plot. He doesn't even recognise the game or it's characters anymore.
But then he brings up an interesting point... What if FFVII was always like that and we just couldn't tell due to graphical ...
The official UK Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core website is finally up and running. If you have been living under a rock for the last few months, the website details everything a newcomer needs to know about the game...

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is set for release in PAL regions later this month.
"The allure just isn't there anymore for the Final Fantasy titles and we have to ask why. Loyal fans try to create hype, but the games are just not combining new and old expectations. Maybe it's because every game, we have to warm up to new characters and worlds. Square sets itself up for hit and miss titles with no character regularity. The only motif running through the series I can identify is a blond guy and clueless protagonists. Most of the recent Final Fantasy games (dare I say Square ..."
Square Enix has been kicking out with Final Fantasy for 18 years and it has proven to be quite successful...until now. Their decision to try Final Fantasy on the Playstation Portable hasn't quite paid off with Crisis Core selling a mere 380,000 in it's first month in America. Looking at the chart at the source, it is nowhere near to what they've sold before on other Final Fantasy games. You can't blame it on the PSP due to the fact that America has 3 million more PSP sales than Japan. The cha...
Crisis Core could have been a a next-gen game, but the PS3 wasn't avaliable at the time. Yoshinori Kitase and Producer Hideki Imaizumi could have made the switch to the PS2, but they wanted a new platform so they decided to do a PSP version of it. Kistase said they would need the core members from the original team but they are all busy with Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII so there might not be a remake any time soon.
PocketGamer (www.pocketgamer.co.uk) has done an interview with Square Enix's producer Hideki Imaizumi and executive producer Yoshinori Kitase on the ongoing preparations for the game that will be coming out in UK.
In this interview, they are given the question "If you'd known the DS was going to be as popular as it is, would you have chosen to make Crisis Core for it instead?" and give the answer "It really wasn't an option to begin with and it wasn't something we regretted later because w...
March's NPD numbers are in, and boy are they a shocker. As always, many thanks to the NPD Group and sonycowboy at NeoGAF for reporting and the actual numbers.
The numbers can be found in the quote.
In regards to hardware sales, the Wii sales are astounding, taking into account that there was only one blockbuster release in March, that being Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Looking at the February NPD, the DS and the Wii both shot up from the previous month. The other systems kept relatively ...
"Square Enix has confirmed that announcements regarding European launch details for both the westernised version of Final Fantasy IV for DS and Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII are imminent.
Regarding both your questions, we should have some announcements being made public very soon"
Ever since its release in the states, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core has been recieving stellar reviews from gaming sites everywhere. And now Kotaku have reviewed the game, analyzing even the small parts of Crisis Core.
(Go to source to read full review, including the pros and cons of the game)
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII achieves a striking balance of old and new, and juggles fan service with pure role-playing satisfaction. It's striking how these elements have been shaped into such an appealing and emotionally affecting prequel. There are some new characters and plenty of fan favorites too, such as Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith. However, the characters you're most likely to empathize with are unlikely ones, including protagonist Zack, and Sephiroth, who is complex, troubled, and even...
Still not convinced that Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core will be good? (Despite the massive amount of praise it's been recieving).
Well, Gametrailers have created a short montage, showing what they consider the "best of Crisis Core", including the impressive graphics (though it's a little worrying just HOW detailed Sephiroth's eyelashes are), summon sequences, different music, gameplay and battle system.
"A lot of things went into making FFVII a breakthrough hit. Technologically, it marked the beginning of a new age in RPGs, with flat old-school sprites giving way to modern 3D worlds. You can't chalk it all up to flashy graphics and cinematics, though. FFVII's cast features a handful of all-time favorites, characters that gamers all over the world fell for.
Everyone, of course, has their personal number one (and two, and three, and probably 10, 11, or 12). Since we all love an old-fashione..."
Man, this rumor certainly is resilient. No matter how many times it was denied or dismissed, it just keeps coming back. Well this time 1UP is the one starting up the rumor again based on a recent interview with Square Enix's Hajime Tabata. In the interview, Tabata says that Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core (PSP) will not be the final game of the FFVII series. That means there will be another game coming from SE set in the FFVII world. Could it be the remake of the original FFVII?
A recent interview with Crisis Core's game director Hajime Tabata gives us some very interesting information about the game and it's development. But one question in particular caught my attention. When asked whether Crisis Core would be the finale to the Final Fantasy VII compilation Hajime answered "No, it does not. The Compilation's finale will take some other form."
Trust Square Enix to make a big deal out of their game launches. With Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core set to be released in a week, Square have decided to throw a proper launch party at Sony Metreon Centre in San Francisco. And if you're one of the first 100 people to arrive for a copy of Crisis Core, you will also get a nice bunch of FF-related goodies too.
Gametrailers has got their hands on more English Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core videos to keep fans sated until the release next week. This time we hear all our old favorites with their English voices - Cloud, Aerith, Zack, the Turks, and we see Tifa in her infamous "cowgirl" outfit.
Heaven, or a church in the slums?
Tifa is not impressed.
When Square Enix first announced the FFVII spin-offs, many fans had high hopes that they would create games as great as FFVII itself. But after the less-than-impressive Dirge of Cerberus (Japan only) and Before Crisis were released, with mostly negative reviews, the fans were soon disappointed and most wished that Square hadn't touched the classic RPG's story.
But it looks like that's all about to change ...
With the release of the English Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core coming up next we...
About Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation Portable. The game is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII and is also the fourth entry to the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII series, which also includes the games Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII and Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, as well as the CGI movie Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and the anime, Last Order: Final Fantasy VII.
A bunch of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core videos have been released at the Game Developers Conference 2008, showing various battles in familiar FFVII locations.
We also get a good look at the English voice-acting of protagonist Zack Fair and his mentor, Angeal Hewley.
Crisis Core is being released in the US in one month.
PAL gamers can expect to see it in Spring 2008.
With the updated Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core website came a truck-load of new English videos. So if anyone has been a bit behind in the Crisis Core news, then these videos will get you up to speed with the Battle System and the familiar (and not-so-familiar) characters: Sephiroth and Genesis.
The good ol' Materia System is back, and the new "DMW" (Digital Mind Wave) System is also shown.
And keep an ear out for the songs in the videos. Sound familiar? The "Sephiroth and Genesis" video...
Its official the English Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core Website is up. With some good goodies like Trailers and Character profiles and even a profile of famous flower girl Aerith Gainsborough. And thats not all some hints of more stuff to appear on the website around March. So keep your eyes peeled and see what comes up next before the release date of the game.

The rumor of a remake of Final Fantasy 7 has been running wild ever since the release of Square Enix's tech-demo a few years ago and this rumor has been put down and recovered numerous times over the past years.
This time however, we get probably the most definitive answer yet, until the game is either officially announced or officially canned.
This makes the most sense, the possibility of a FF7 remake is completely dependent on Square-Enix's schedule. Mostly the completion of FF13 and...
When Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core was first released in Japan, 77,777 lucky people got their hands on the special Crisis Core bundle that was also being offered. The bundle included: A limited-edition silver PSP, a special Crisis Core themed PSP case, the game itself, some small Crisis Core accessories, all wrapped up in a Crisis Core box. Pretty spiffy, huh?
Well ... It seems America won't quite be getting the same perks that Japan did. For anyone who was hoping for a similar bundle to...
The official Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Complete Guide is now available on Play-Asia and Amazon.jp.
Although the guide itself isn't much use to people who can't read Japanese, the artwork alone is worth taking a look at.
Final Fantasy fans are finally getting some news on the English version of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. This time a new trailer has been released and (ignoring the out-of-place rock music) it's looking pretty impressive. But it'll take a lot more than fast-paced FMV sequences to win over the people who are still skeptical about any title in the (faily average) FFVII Compilation.
What we need are some videos similar to the Japanese trailers that show gameplay, cutscenes, FMVs and detail ...
Just yesterday the PAL version of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core got an official release date, and today Gamespot has some more news for Final Fantasy fans in the PAL region ... Their version of Crisis Core will be getting some "additional gameplay challenges not included in the original Japanese version."
It looks like North America misses out on these bonus features.
"Specifically, Japanese gaming giant Square Enix has this week confirmed that Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII will be released exclusively across all PAL territories this coming spring on Sonys slick and sexy handheld.
Set to arrive as the fourth entrant in the hugely popular Final Fantasy VII series - and also a direct prequel to the original PlayStation classic - Crisis Core will likely provide all the trademark excitement, grandeur, and exhilaration of the Final Fantasy franchise while ..."
"The game that sold hundreds of thousands of PSP systems in Japan and is poised to do the same when it hits U.S. soil in late March has been officially, if somewhat vaguely, dated for Europe! Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII has been officially granted a Spring 2008 release by Square Enix, which means anywhere between March 21st and June 21st, giving them a nice little three-month window to cram all of those extra languages into that tiny little UMD. Here's hoping it's closer to the beginning of..."
Square Enix has now announced that Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core will be coming to the United States on March 25th. The game is a prequel to Final Fantasy 7, and has recently become Square Enix's best selling game of this year.
It is not known yet when the special edition Crisis Core PSP bundle will hit the US though.
To mark the release of the Cloud Art-book in Japan, Dengeki Online have released a new website, which contains not just some extracts of the magazine itself, but also confirms the existence of the long awaited trailers from TGS that have been shown behind closed doors (note that none of the trailers show any of the new characters, they are simply the uncut version of previous trailers).
EGM have dedicated a page of this month's issue to the fairly large array of Final Fantasy games that have recently (and not-so-recently) been announced, yet haven't had much information divulged since then. The magazine tried their best to piece together what little info has been released.
It's a shame that one-and-a-half years have passed since Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII were announced, and yet fans still don't know much about the game's details, let alone the chara...

We have another pretty slow week in Japan, with DBZ: Sparking! Meteor for the PS2 being the top seller with 204k units sold. Then, the number drops down to 86k for Gundam Battle Chronicle for the PSP. The rest of the top 5 rounds out with Archaic Sealed Heat (DS - 50k), DBZ: Sparking! Meteor (Wii - 40k) and Jikkyou Powerful Major League 2 (PS2 - 35k).
Also noted, #1 on last week's list, Halo 3, isn't in the top 30 this week. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Time and Shadow and Crisis Core: Final...

Xbox360's newest and most famous title, Halo 3, has surged to the top of the Japanese sales charts, selling 58,672 copies in it's first week.
The 360 itself has also had a burst of popularity, selling 5,215 units in the same week as Halo 3's release. Coincidence? I think not!
In other news, the vastly popular Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core has become a major driving force in the fast selling of Playstation Portable units in Japan. Square Enix's limited edition Crisis Core PSP sold out on...
Square Enix have announced that they will be releasing yet another FFVII Compilation booklet, this time it's the Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Ultimania guide.
The booklet will be 592 pages long, and will include anything you would expect from a typical Square Enix book ... Including Character Profiles, An in-depth story analysis, Interviews with the staff and voice-actors, New images and screenshots, and much much more!
Japan just got a bit crazier. With the PSP outselling the DS last week (if only because of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII's release), Halo 3 tops last week's charts with 59,000 units sold, with one of the two Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 games taking second with 55,000 units, and Crisis Core taking third with 54,000 units.
Amist a week with no major release outside of Bleach: Blade Battlers 2nd, a Xbox 360 game sells the most units in Japan. It must be noted that if you combine the two Poke...
"Story: Crisis Core focuses on Zack Fair, who's part of a military organization called SOLDIER, trying to earn a First Class ranking. He's joined by the world famous Cloud Strife, the main character in the original Final Fantasy VII title, the blond character being an average Shinra Guard. The Shinra Electric Power Company rules all of the world's continents by force and with the aid of their technological superiority. Shinra uses Mako energy to fuel all of its gear, power plants and buildings..."
During the Tokyo Game Show, Gamespy were lucky enough to get their hands on Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core ... and they were impressed with the results! Impressed enough to give a VERY positive preview of the game, as well as going as far as to say that the vastly popular Monster Hunter 2 Freedom "seems near average compared to Crisis Core."
So will Crisis Core live up the the hype? We will have to wait and see ...
GameTrailers have recently uploaded a run-through preview for Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. The video explains the Mission system, Materia, Gameplay, and how the DMW Battle System works.
We also get glimpses of the soundtrack (including music very similar to the original Final Fantasy VII), as well as a sneak-peak at the game's stoaryline and characters (who, as we all know, also appear in the original FFVII).
"Square's big budget fan service film, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, is heading to Blu-ray and it's going to provide much more than an HD transfer. A new trailer showcased at TGS shows a few new scenes that expand upon the film's storyline. One scene took place in the alleys of Midgar as children afflicted with Geostigma appear to be melting goo. Another sequence shows Sephiroth stabbing Cloud through the chest, skewering him and swinging him like a piece of dead meat. Not only will the ..."
"From our oh-so-short play session with the game, the long wait for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII was most definitely worth it.
While I'm sure my words are riveting you right out of your seat, there's no way they're as cool as the actual cinematic looked on the PSP in my hands. After the opening train sequence was over it was time to actually take control of our main character.
Gone are the days of pre-rendered backdrops and loading times in between fights. As Zack moved around the tra..."

It seems that Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is living up to it's hype. On the first day of it's release, around 350,000 copies of the game were sold ... and the number is still climbing!
With the soaring sales, high Review ratings, and good publicity of Crisis Core, Square Enix are hoping to double their takings by the end of the week ...
As many Final Fantasy fans would know, the rumours surrounding the possible Final Fantasy VII remake have almost gotten to the point of being ridiculous. PS3 Tech Demos, new FFVII character models, confusing Square Enix interviews, and now a mysterious TGS poster sporting the words "We hope to meet FFVII again" ...
Will Square Enix ever put the fans out of their misery?
Yet another Final Fanatsy VII: Crisis Core video has surfaced. This time it's the opening FMV to the game, featuring a very similar scene to the original FFVII opening.
And judging from the quality of the graphics, it's easy to see why IGN thinks that "Crisis Core looks better than most PS2 games out there".
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core has finally been reviewed by a (currently unknown) magazine. And it's good news for any Final Fantasy fans who were worried about this latest installment in the FFVII Compilation series - The game has been given a 8.75 out of ten.
There is also a quote, from Kitase himself, saying that a Final Fantasy VII remake will be made "when the time is right". Confirmation, much?

The game is set for release in Japan on September 13th.

Studio BentStuff have released more information regarding the official Final Fantasy VII 10th Anniversary Ultimania booklet. "In EDGE's Final Fantasy special this month, they have interviewed Tetsuya Nomura. It looks alot like the interview with him that we posted earlier, but at least this time we can understand it! He pretty much covers the same points, and pretty much secures the much discussed Playstation 3 exclusivity of Final Fantasy XIII, or thats how I read it anyway. He speaks a lot about how they're doing so many things they haven't be able to do before thanks to the Playstation 3, and the fact that it was..."

There's an unexpected amount of work in form of "Missions" to be done in the strategical search for Genesis. It seems that there are also Missions where you can get special treasure!

"Early images from next week's issue of the Japanese magazine Shonen Jump have turned up, showing some new screenshots from Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. Among the images are shots of Shisune (the "Shuriken" Turk from FFVII: Before Crisis), the CG image of Zack used on the title screen of the Square Enix Party demo, and a screenshot of a side mission featuring Yuffie in her Before Crisis outfit."
The official "Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core" website has been updated with character profiles for Sephiroth, Genesis and Lazard.
Popular Japanese singer Gackt will be returning as the Japanese voice-actor for Genesis.
In-game screenshots are also part of the update for the profies.
There are also four currently unannounced characters.

"Tabata: Up until now it wasn't possible to really depict Sephiroth as a more human character. In order to help Angeal he will have to take actions to deceive Shinra to ensure that Shinra commands fall through, and this leads into an unintentional give and take with Zack. Thus Sephiroth's true self will be a big highlight.
The voice acting has been improved again. While the seiyuu have been bringing Aerith, Zack, and Sephiroth to life from the outset, they've had to spend time under a lot ..."
In a recent interview with LEVEL magazine, Square Enix, the creators of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core have divulged some minor tid-bits of the game.
Although the main focus of the interview was on Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII, Tetsuya Nomura and Hajime Tabata hinted that fans are likely to see some familiar faces in FF: Crisis Core, and also revealed just how much time and effort has been put into this game.
Famitsu.com has updated it's site with a new Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core article and various screenshots that were featured in recent editions of their magazine. Fortunately for English speaking fans, the article itself does not have any new information regarding the game, but includes brand new High-Res screenshots instead.
Attendants of the Square Enix 2007 Festival received a special promo cd, which was soon after ripped by a GameFAQs poster NeoStrikeDamon. It includes tracks from Final Fantasy: Dissidia and Crisis Core. I wonder why one of them is titled "Secret". Maybe it's from another game they have yet to reveal?

"PSP Fanboy's Andrew Yoon is a man in pain. He's really, really envious of the folks who managed to catch a glimpse of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core during the Square Enix Party. His intestines are probably squirming and contracting in some weird fashion right now, suffering from some psychosomatic Crisis Core requirement. Funny, so are we.
Those who were in attendance can't help but highlight the good points that they've seen when they describe the game.
IGN says: "In our first Crisis ..."
