Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII achieves a striking balance of old and new, and juggles fan service with pure role-playing satisfaction. It's striking how these elements have been shaped into such an appealing and emotionally affecting prequel. When Square Enix first announced the FFVII spin-offs, many fans had high hopes that they would create games as great as FFVII itself. But after the less-than-impressive Dirge of Cerberus (Japan only) and Before Crisis were released, with mostly negative reviews, the fans were soon disappointed and most wished that Square hadn't touched the classic RPG's story.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core has finally been reviewed by a (currently unknown) magazine. And it's good news for any Final Fantasy fans who were worried about this latest installment in the FFVII Compilation series - The game has been given a 8.75 out of ten.
There is also a quote, from Kitase himself, saying that a Final Fantasy VII remake will be made "when the time is right". Confirmation, much?
"PSP Fanboy's Andrew Yoon is a man in pain. He's really, really envious of the folks who managed to catch a glimpse of Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core during the Square Enix Party.
