Final Fantasy VIII

"GamingUnion: "Welcome to another Ultimate Movie Cast List with me, Lauren. Last week Adam got to play around with Resident Evil, so this week I'm super excited to be doing a cast list for one of my favorite games of all time, Final Fantasy VIII.""

"Proof of Final Fantasy VII and VIII's existence on Steam can easily be found by anyone who has Steam installed and up to date - you just need to download the "Steam Registry Toolkit" client. This allows curious types to poke around in Steam's files. We advise you look, but don't change anything - Users who download that merely need to point it to the "ClientRegistry.blob" file in their Steam Install Directory and then open the "ContentDescriptionRecord"."

"The latest Playstation Store update came with a current list of the top downloads on the Playstation Store.

The first two spots are occupied by two of the most popular games on the original Playstation: Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy VII. For Final Fantasy VIII, this is the first time the PSOne Classic has become the #1 download."

Final Fantasy VIII was released on Japan's PSN last September, North America's PSN last December, and now it is finally being released on Europe's PSN on February the 4th.

Final Fantasy VIII's arrival on the North American PSN was announced less than 24 hours ago and apparently they really meant that it was coming soon. This week's update of the PlayStation Store brings with it the game as a PSone Classic that can be purchased for $9.99. The game has a size of 1.78GB.

It's been a while since Final Fantasy VIII was made available on the Japanese PSN. However, Sony are bringing the re-release to the North American PSN some time in the near future. As seen through the email they sent out to subscribers, the game is listed as "coming soon."

At Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference, it was revealed that Final Fantasy VIII would be coming to PSN.
Well, is was released on the Japanese PSN today.
There is currently no word on whether it will be coming to the American or Europe PSN, but it's likely to follow in FFVII's footsteps and eventually make it to this side of the world.

"Import store NCSX is good at laying out the latest weird Japanese game/toy imports, and it's just posted lots of pictures of the Square Enix Master Arms collectibles, which are "...scaled replicas of recognizable weapons from Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts."

They've gone a little watermark-happy on their extremely useful photos of the just-received replica mini-weapons, which are "Cerberus (15cm length or 5.90" long)... [not pictured, here's a close-up of] Keyblade (18cm length or 7.08" ..."
