"When it comes to games, this generation of home consoles hasn't seen nearly as many exclusive as systems in the past did. But both Sony and Microsoft have done quite well at securing a few great exclusives each. And of course we're running down the sexiest female characters to appear in those titles. We did a list of the top five sexiest female characters to appear in Playstation 3 exclusives last week and we have to show the same respect to the women of the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 made it pre..."
"It’s the sixth day of Christmas and for many Christmas Day will now be a distant memory. Hopefully you’ve been given plenty of videogames to ease the stress of getting back to normal life and you’re getting stuck in to your favourites. If you do happen to venture out, however, Electronic Theatre is on hand with suggestions as to what you should look out for in the January sales. Electronic Theatre’s The Twelve Games of Christmas series, one article every day for the twelve days of Christmas, ..."
"The Games for Windows – LIVE client is available to download now, and uses the same user-orientated properties as the Xbox 360. Players will have a unique GamerTag which operates on both Xbox 360 and Games for Windows systems, linked to a Windows LIVE ID account that also grants features such as a free Hotmail based e-mail account and soon personalised search engine results through the recently launched Bing, and can maintain a consolidated GamerScore of the Achievements earned through playin..."
"The game throws the player into an alternate present in which vast areas of America have been ravaged by the effects of global warming. This provides enough of a backdrop for the games’ intentionally grungy feel, with the player’s default avatar adorning a shaven head and leather trousers. The grand land mass is divided into a number of Territories, unlocked by earning sufficient Stars in Career Races."
Fuel is a new open world racing game released by Codemasters and Asobo Studios. Will it live up to other Codemasters racing games such as DiRT and GRID or will it just run out of fuel? Read GamingFronts full review here.
"Experience the ground-breaking open-world racer from Asobo Studio as Codemasters announced that the FUEL playable demo will be available today from Xbox LIVE! Marketplace for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation Store in Europe for the PLAYSTATION 3 with links to the PC demo available on www.fuel-game.com (in the News section) from 2pm GMT."
TRINE is our most notable release for this week, coming out on PC at some digital outlets July 3, others, including the PlayStation Network, around July 10 (360 owners will have to wait awhile longer). Those wanting to get it at retail can wait a few more weeks. Again, a demo is available, and we can't recommend trying it enough.
Others worth mentioning include FUEL, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, and perhaps the Megaman Starforce 3 titles.
"FUEL is all about extreme racing. With such a wide open and diverse terrain to race on, there are a lot of different racing experiences in FUEL. With 75 different vehicles you will experience things like racing a muscle car down a mountain and negotiating a tight circuit on a quad bike."
"To raise awareness for the launch of FUEL for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) today, Codemasters enrolled the services of the “Fuel Girls” to spread the word. The globe-trotting, fire-breathing, stunt-driving divas burnt-up the airwaves this morning on XFM London 104.9's Breakfast Show, providing one lucky listener with the chance of winning a PS3 and a copy of FUEL on Ian Camfield's "Hard Rock" quiz."

"It covers the approximate area of Trinidad & Tobago, it’s larger than Hong Kong, Singapore, St Lucia and the Isle of Man put together. Innovative open-world racer FUEL – launching on June 5th for the PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360 and with a Games For Windows edition to follow - boasts 5,560 square miles of accessible in-game terrain, making it officially the largest playable environment in a console game ever."
"Codemasters, a leading developer and publisher (already famous for such games as Colin McRae DiRT, Race Driver GRID, Overlord and Operation Flashpoint), has today released a brand new gameplay video for its game, FUEL. The game features an extensive multiplayer gameplay experience, and includes 16 player Free Ride and Race Events."
"Other events include ‘Speed Run’ where players must complete a course against the clock using any route they choose and ‘Blitz’, which has players dashing from checkpoint to checkpoint to reset the timer in a series of tense sprints."
"PSU: How big is the game world and what locations and terrains can we expect to drive across?
Wright: The game world is huge – over 5,000 square miles with enormous diversity in terrain and locations. The map is generated from a selection of satellite data of the United States brought together to form a diverse landscape of snow-covered mountains, lush forests, deep ravines, dusty plains, arid salt flats and desolate coastline. This is all linked together by a vast network of roads, from h..."
We haven't seen to much of FUEL, but we know quite a lot. The game will feature a huge open world were mother nature is much of an enemy as the other riders. Codemasters have confirmed that the game will come out this May.
Check out a trailer of FUEL here.
"Fuel is set in an alternate present where the catastrophic effects of global warming have driven the population from great swathes of the United States. Now, these ravaged wastelands play host to a new breed of racers as they compete in heart-pounding, no-holds-barred races. Bringing the vast, varied and open-ended landscape to life is a full day and night cycle and a dynamic weather system. Snow, rain, destructive tornados, sandstorms, thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and blizzards – player..."
"Codemasters are already at the helm of some of the world’s finest racing titles. GRID’s got track racing down to a tee, while DiRT’s replicated mud-based rallying to a staggering degree of accuracy. So what’s left? How about both? How about tarmac and dirt with grass and mountains? How about 5,000 square miles of the stuff to be exact, an unbound chunk of west America, procedurally generated using satellite imagery and laced with 11,000 miles of road. That’ll do, won’t it?..."
Videogamer.com talked with Codemasters about their new open world racer, FUEL. They said that the size of the map for FUEL is huge, that if compared to Burnout: Paradise, its just a postage stamp. And if they developed the game the same way the developed their other games, it would have taken up to four blu-ray discs.
One of the most interesting new features for FUEL is the weather system. Huge storms and tornadoes will rip up the world, so you have to survive against the weather, and the r...
The third game from Codemasters on the next gen consoles. FUEL is a huge off road racing game set on a map that is 14000KM big. The world is all open and free roam. And this is what sets FUEL apart from other games. It is set in the future, when global warming has taking its tole on earth. Causing devastating weather. Have fun out running a tornado!
