A whopping 94 games were unlicensed for the NES. Of those 94, we've highlighted 9 games that still broke the barrier for entertainment despite their spotlight shortcomings. If you've played these games, give yourself a pat on a back.
The Nintendo DS title "Gaunlet" was anticipated by many in the gaming community. In February all trace of the title had disappeared, the game was presumably canceled. The ESRB however has a listing for the title revealing it also switched publishing hands from Eidos to Majesco.

"Remember the first time you played a game where you couldnt get by the first level no matter how hard you tried? Remember thinking to yourself that you spent 3$ dollars borrowing a game that was so difficult you wanted to return it and ask for something more tolerable?"
If you're hankerin' for more Gauntlet, some news on the game's features are here, as well as a few new screens.
One of the most surprising features announced is Voiceover IP (VoIP), which will allow players to talk to each other while in the online play mode, making Gauntlet one of the very few titles to do so. There's also 40 maps across three realms, co-op play, and competitive multiplayer, which incorporates Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Treasure Hoard modes. The multiplayer is suppor...
Lots of new stuff in for the DS version of Gauntlet: a trailer detailing the game's features, some screenshots, and a packshot.
The title seems classic in every sense of the word; with any luck, Gauntlet will succeed where Dungeon Explorer failed (not that it wasn't worthwhile).
Gauntlet arrives October 28.
For those who remember Gauntlet, this may be one of the best news of the day. Published by Eidos and developed by Backbone Entertainment, a brand new Gauntlet will be headed to the Nintendo DS.
Gauntlet will feature four different classes, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and capabilities. There will also be 40 different maps, 32 different enemy types, and the use of special abilities to aid in combat. Gameplay will also span across both screens, using a single display to show...

"Welcome to IGN's weekly countdown of the exceptional, fascinating, and absurd: something we like to call Top 10 Tuesday. Every week we'll feature the top ten games, characters, fashion statements or whatever else we can think of that in some way relates to gaming and its history. And just because it's called Top 10 Tuesday doesn't mean it's always going to be a list of the best -- we like to razz on stuff as much as we like to praise it. From counting down the best consoles ever to revealing ..."
IGN had created a top co-op list of 10 video games that used the feature best. I'm certainly glad of there No.1 choosing as I've played this game and I must say it is the best co-op game you can get. The games are on different gaming consoles and not just one. Although I'm surprised Halo 2 made it into the top 10 list because I've played this game and didn't understand what all the hype was about.
