"There’s no questioning that God of War is one of the most mind-numbingly bad-ass franchises to come along in recent memory. From the game’s beautiful environments to the way Kratos engages in fierce battles against enraged mythological enemies, God of War is an outstanding action-adventure series and one of the most enjoyable gameplay experiences available. But as impressive as it may be, a few changes and additions wouldn’t hurt the God of War series. It might even thrive from some effective..."

Sometimes it's just fun to be mean, especially when there are no real consequences. Be honest, if you could poke the bear without getting mauled, you'd poke the bear. Video games at times provide an unparelled outlet with which gamers can be real jerks. And among all of gaming's jerks, there's no bigger than Kratos. "Let's get this out of the way right now: The only reason I don't have more game consoles hooked to my TV is because I'm out of ports on the back for cables to plug into, and I don't want to have to get off the sofa to switch over. I've been playing video games since the Carter administration. So do not compare me to Roger "I never play video games yet dismiss them as worthless" Ebert here. Just... don't. But the thing..."

"As I write this I have just finished a day powering through SCE Santa Monica’s stunning hack and slash game God of War III.
God of War is a series that has become infamous for containing two of the three majors which get an M rating slapped on the box as fast as a Hermes sprint, these being sex/nudity as well as gut-spilling gore.

Language in video games is not quite as much of a taboo as it once was, in fact most games in the UK pass on a few uses of minor bad language without even recei..."

"Violence and gore within games has always been a bit of a taboo subject. From concerned parents to naïve news reporters, violence in games has always been frowned upon. We all know however that the truth about gaming is that it is an escape and a way to have fun. Violence in games is not distasteful (in most cases) but it actually sometimes enhances the gaming experience"

"Both Sony and Microsoft could learn a little something from Nintendo and how they handle their major franchises and mascots. Microsoft has milked the Halo franchise to the point that the original developer can’t stand the idea of making another one. Sony on the other hand has pushed the God of War franchise a bit too much (six releases, with a seventh coming in Ghost of Sparta in under five years), but hasn’t sacrificed quality for quantity as fans of the series and critics alike both rave ab..."

"In the world of games the male lead has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Among the things a hero has to accomplish is being a tough guy or a bad-ass in this case. While plenty have accomplished this throughout the history of gaming, few have made major impacts in gaming in the last ten years. What does it take to be a bad-ass you ask? Well first of all you have to be able to hold your own in a fight despite all the odds being stacked against you. There's no denying that the guys on o..."

"“God of War 3” is competent, but it will leave many players unhappy. The hackneyed ending will disappoint fans invested in Kratos’ story, and the developers’ slavish devotion to stale game mechanics won’t appeal to new players experienced in similar games that have more depth."

On this episode we discuss Gears of War 3 leaked announcement and first details, Pokemon Black and White revealed, new Uncharted 2 DLC coming, and lots more in the news section, and for what we have been playing its God of War 3, Fable 2 and FIFA World Cup.

Late last year some were saying that 2010 could be the biggest in gaming history and it certainly is shaping up that way. So, John from All Age Gaming sat down and compiled a list of the Top 10 games in the first half of 2010 (1st January to 30 June 2010). If the second half of 2010 is going to be better, then we are in for one hell of a treat!

2010 is shaping up to be one of the most jam-packed years in the gaming industry with many excellent games already released in the first-quarter alone. Here are ten can't miss games so far this year.

So first there was God of War, then there was God of War II, now there is.... yep, God of War III. Ben Leslie lets us know his views of the latest release in the series.

"Quarter 1 ends now as Quarter 2 looms over the horizon and it’s safe to say that this has been the best Quarter 1 in recent memory. Never before have so many great games been packed into the very beginning of the year. Usually we have to wait till Quarter 4 before we get the big-budget titles. March, like January and February before it was stuffed full of wonderful games for gamers of all."

"Love it or loathe it, violence has been a staple part of the video game formula for some time now. Technical and graphical advancements have only made the depiction of violence easier to manufacture, with some games now displaying the brutality in such vivid and sadistic fashion that it almost makes you feel queasy.

With the recent release of Sony's God Of War 3, it seems like now is as good a time as any to examine some of the more gruesome deaths in our beloved medium.

So here's Digit..."

The folks at G4TV have made a music video of Kratos singing the song 'Sex Therapy' by Robyn Thicke. Every God of War fan should check it out just for laughs.

This past March was packed with many new blockbuster releases as well as lesser known but equally as great titles. So which games stood out the most for the month?

"The game starts out with the camera panning across the City of Olympia, then up towards Mount Olympus where a number of mammoth sized titans are climbing. Zeus, whose kingdom is being rattled by the titan offensive, rounds up the other gods of Olympus – Poseidon, Hades, Hermes and Helios – in a bid to fight off the ascending threat..."

"This week sees a fair bit of a shake-up in the UK's retail charts, with Just Cause 2 sitting pretty atop the all format charts, provided by ChartTrack. Having seen God of War III rise to the top spot and knocking Final Fantasy XIII from it's perch last week, it comes of little shock to see Square Enix taking the gold once again with their latest release. However, there are a few greater surprises further down that list."

"I like a good story. Something with characters I can relate to, genuine people with their own hopes, dreams and fear.

Something with a plot that twists and turns, surprising at every turn but always making sense. Something personal, as if it was constructed only for me and my unique journey through the game.

Something I will never see.
It's a simple fact: the perfect narrative does not exist.

I can't be anymore blunt than that. Try as I might, I have yet to find a game that can conn..."

"No game is perfect, but Sony did come pretty close with God of War III. The only real complaint in the whole affair is that of the slow and dragged out pacing throughout the middle of the game. The puzzles can be a little boring at times, but beyond that the amazing visuals and great story all combine for an excellent gaming experience."

A glitch found in God of War III lets you acquire the “Maxed Out!” trophy without meeting the requirements of upgrading all your weapons in the story mode.

"As amazing as it may seem given Sony Computer Entertainment’s track record with the PlayStation franchise, the PlayStation 3 has undoubtedly been the outside bet for the current-generation since it’s launch back in March 2007. Arriving late in Europe, with successful Japanese and North American launches already under its belt, an incredibly high price-tag and it’s underdog status has seen the PlayStation 3 achieving slow but consistent growth across the continent in the ensuing three years."

"Greek mythology became uber cool the day that Kratos first hit our PS2 screens back in 2005. In 2007, the God of War sequel managed to blow our minds once again and feed our interest in his world and mythology. Now after three long years of waiting and twiddling our thumbs in anticipation, the time for chaos to be unleashed has come, but will the former God of War rise to the challenge or will he become a forgotten hero. Prepare your weapons and strap on your man skirt, we’re about to find out."

"One of the most popular gaming series of the last decade has been Sony’s God of War franchise. With its epic gameplay and amazing presentation, the God of War series is one of the few AAA franchises out there.

God of War wouldn’t necessarily be where it’s at without the work of T.C. Carson, the man responsible for voicing Kratos’ rage. Kratos has almost become a new mascot for the PlayStation brand and besides the character’s unique design, many know him for his deep rage filled voice. O..."

All Age Gaming's Phong Nguyen bring's us the 33rd AAG "The Week That Was". This week he discusses the Playstation "Move", a possible slim 360, the 360's external hard drive support, PS3 shortages due to the release of God Of War 3 and more.

"It should be obvious at this that point that even though I praise the glorious console known as the Xbox 360, I like many people out there still own a PS3 as well and from time to time dust it off and boot her up. So it should be no surprise that I played through God of War III earlier this week and have a few things to say about it. GoW3 had a lot to live up to, the first two iterations in the series pushed the PS2 hardware to new heights with each release and GoW3 does the same, at least vi..."

"We've chronicled Joey Logano's Gamestop paint schemes on his #20 Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He rode with Big Daddy and Little Sister and he got hit with a red shell right before the finish line with Mario Kart on his car in his last Nationwide race. Those may or may not have prepared him for the destruction that looms with God of War's Kratos on his side for this week's race at Bristol."

It's been a while since the gaming world last heard from Japanese bikini model and actress Yuuri Morishita. In the past, she promoted Queen's Blade with a very raunchy cosplay video, dressed as Chun-Li to promote a pachislot game, and unintentionally promoted the Bape DS.

So what is Morishita up to now?

Well, she's been promoting the Japanese release of God of War III.

"Sony has had problems keeping a steady supply of Playstation 3 consoles in stores to meet demand since Christmas. The introduction of the PS3 Slim along with a price drop last year increased demand for the console but resulted in store shelves being cleared out for the holidays. Sony has been working with retailers but admits that supply will "be tight for a bit longer." Now Sony may be in the precarious spot of having a system seller game but little in the way of systems to sell."

The for God of War III is officially over and Sony celebrates with a launch trailer to show off the games epic story and epic battles. At this point, I don't know how anyone can be on the fence. There's been so much hype and everything around this game you're either getting it or you aren't.

"God of War III thankfully doesn’t shy away from the spectacle of its’ predecessors. In the opening sequence our anti-hero is riding atop a huge titan once again engaging in battle with gods. Stepping back into the shoes of the Ghost of Sparta is as comfortably gruesome as ever. The control system remains largely the same as ever and the abilities and weaponry Kratos will discover on his journey will be instantly familiar to fans of the series, while newcomers should have no problem adapting t..."

In a recent interview for UGDB the Game Director of God of War III Stig Asmussen said: "I don't know is we are even close to 50% of PlayStation 3's power at this point."
In another question related to what parts of the game were ripped off and are not in the final version, Stig is talking for the first time ever for character named Exion, Cyclops as nearly big as titans, and one huge titan encounter that can come in the form of DLC. Stig is also talking for his dream project, who might play ...

"GameZone.com writes: "It’s not a stretch to consider God of War 3 to be one of the biggest titles of the year. The first foray for Kratos on the PS3 not only brings the badass anti-hero to a new system, but also caps off his journey as the final entry to the God of War trilogy. God of War 3 expands on its predecessors in every way, offering more brutal combat and breathtaking vistas and environments than ever before.

We were given the chance to talk to Lead Environmental Artist, Chris Sutt..."

"Sony released another in its line of humorous "It only does everything" commercials featuring VP of Everything, Kevin Butler. Can sweet Sadie win back her beau from the evil clutches of Kratos? Probably not because it has him enthralled along with every other red-blooded American PS3 owning male including Mr. Butler. Or, at least it soon will when it is released on March 16."

SCE Santa Monica Studios had to build a new engine and add more staff in order to develop God of War III. So how much did the Playstation 3 exclusive ended up costing? Click the link to find out!

If you're like me, you couldn't care less about God of War III, at least, until you read Neoseeker contributor Heath Flor's review. Heath's a smart guy, you see, and has a way with words (and ladies), so he makes a pretty convincing case here.

Anyhow, head to the source to read the full bit, where he praises it as near perfect and living up to the hype.

"We shared with you earlier today our full God of War III review, and we now have the latest batch of God of War III screens directly from Sony. Showcasing some of the environments, gods, Titans, and lots more, the new screens will give a general idea of what the game contains in terms of scale and visual amazement."

"The God of War series first saw release on the PS2 back in March 2005 and it took gamers by surprise. Featuring sharp visuals and violent gameplay, Santa Monica Studios was able to evolve the traditional logic of what an intense action/adventure game was thanks to the introduction of Quick-Time Events and over-the-top killing sequences, God of War was quickly beloved by gamers of all kinds and the series never looked back from that point on. It’s now time for the final chapter of Kratos and h..."

I just finished three years of my life on God of War III and seven years on the God of War series - I have kids younger than that! We're excited to work on large projects but it's not a decision that's made flippantly and we're going to take our time with it. The only game I had the chance to play through the past few years was Dead Space; there are other games that have released that I want to hav..."

God of War 3 is now in the hands of some media outlets. With review set to go live next week, Sony sent out retail builds to media outlets to let them enjoy the carnage of Kratos over the weekend and prepare for some intense review coverage.

Without much fanfare, or big announcements God of War: Blood & Metal Soundtrack, which is bundled as part of God of War III: Ultimate Edition have been released for purchase as a stand-alone item on iTunes and Amazon at the beginning of March. This might be a good alternative for people who don't want to pony up $100+ for God of War III: Ultimate Edition.

"I think it would be interesting for us to explore some kind of cooperative or online play. I have a 14-year-old son, and we love playing games together, so it would be fun to do this. He’s had the benefit of watching some of the segments of God of War 3 with me; obviously the sex mini-game is off limits, and some of the more violent scenes. But it’s fun to play games together and I wouldn’t mind seeing that. I’m not confining our team and saying “Hey, you have to do this.”"

"To everyone’s surprise March 2010 is a month full of epic video game releases, because in the past the first quarter of the year is pretty slow in the industry. This is the result of many things the most important being the fact that money is tight after the jam-packed Holiday gaming season. 2010 is a year for change as there are plenty of high-quality games coming out in the first four months of the year, for that reason we decided to list out the top 5 video game releases of March 2010 – th..."

"When Electronic Arts announced their plans to produce a video game based on the literary classic Dante's Inferno, gamers were outraged by more than just the title's uncanny resemblance to the God of War franchise. Question the literacy of those who indulge in our hobby all you want, but the generally negative reactions that greeted the interactive adaptation of Dante Alighieri's epic poem speak well for our kind's classical training. To the credit of these dissenters, Visceral Games really d..."

"Everyone has been waiting for the newest footage of God of War III to be shown in trailer form. Sony hasn't released an official God of War III trailer in months, and fans are now beginning to get a tad-bit antsy. After some sites mentioned a January 18 release date for the new footage, everyone got excited about that the idea. Sony quickly denied that and confirmed no footage would be shown that week, except from new screens and hands-on write-ups.

Since no trailer was shown when many tho..."

""Ever since the dawn of man people have figured out that if you make something successful, and then make some similar to that first thing that it will also make millions of dollars. This is the basic premise behind all movie and video game franchises, and it has been happening since the beginning of both forms of entertainment. Sometimes it works great (Star Wars IV-VI) and sometimes it's a complete disaster (Star Wars I-III); because of this fact we decided to go back and pick what we believ..."

"The image depicted in the final box art will be familiar to some, though it had not been officially announced as the final cover. Sites including Amazon and Gamestop have recently updated the product information with this newest edition, with little difference from its previous place-holder."

"As of this writing, we’re already three weeks into 2010. The “new” year is already practically ancient, and pretty soon we’ll have run out of time to make wild, erratic, entirely factual predictions about things that will happen over the next 11 months. So with January nearly over, we’re going for the jugular and answering the question that’s on everyone’s mind: between the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and PC, which gaming platform will claim victory by the end of this year.

Experts antici..."

"All major retailers are now putting up the official God of War 3 box art on their sites. Amazon and GameStop have updated their listings with the latest box art, and it's mostly identical to the previous placeholder before it. Rated 'M' for Mature, God of War 3 will likely contain extreme violence, blood, gore, and strong sexual content."

"We have compiled several screens showing the difference between the character models, colors, and lighting of the game from the original screens, E3 2009 screens, and now the final build. The character model of Kratos looks amazing in all the screens, but he looks must grittier in the latest build. The lighting looks to have improved slightly, but it was amazing to begin with. The final build is much darker, features better lighting, a much larger scale, and it's amazing how far the game has ..."

"Let me put this bluntly: Slamming X a bunch of times to do something mundane like open a door is not fun. It's never been fun. I'm not sure how or why developers came up with the notion that it'd be a good idea to make players sweat to accomplish seemingly simple tasks, but it's a horrible practice that should die as soon as possible.

That's not to say that there's no room for portraying "effort" in a game. There's a value in it, as it allows players to share a moment with their avatar, as..."

The Playstation 3 has gotten some excellent exclusive games over the past two years. 2010 is shaping up to be yet another great year for PS3-only titles.

"God of War III is one of the most anticipated PS3 exclusive's ever released, and the majority of games being released in this generation feature some type of multiplayer whether it's competitive or cooperative. Now God of War III, will not have multiplayer as it was revealed in an interview with GamePro that it wouldn't "fit";"

GamePro talks with God Of War 3's game director Stig Asmussen. They discuss many things such as developing for the ps3, to the amount of gore that can be found in the game. They also discuss mutliplayer and possible chances for DLC. How do you give a game like God Of War DLC? You add challenge rooms, much like what was found on the PS2. But don't take this as an official confirmation, its just ideas floating around Santa Monica.

"With most of the Playstation 3's consumer base now ogling the near releases of Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Insomniac's Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time, it is easy to forget what the guys at Sony have lined up for us in 2010. The game has some of the biggest hype ever seen for a videogame and speculation still hasn't ended about whether it will be the game that can truly define the PS3 brand and the game that will help the PS3 to decrease the sold consoles gap between itself and Xbox360. But why is there so much optimism?

God of war 3 is truly a beautiful game to look at but now it seems that it's going to get another jump in graphics before release. according to a sony representative at E3 there's still more polish going on in the graphics department before release.

In a surprising announcement, G4TV announced a live 30 minute playthrough of a God of War III demo to be played tomorrow night at 6:30 ET. This is the same demo played at E3, but its a complete run-through.

"The first God of War was always one of those games I would see laying around in game stores, on eBay etc. that I would always want to play, but when push came to shove I would just overlook it. When I finally got my hands on a bargain-priced copy of the game I was kicking myself over how good it was, and why I hadn’t bothered to pick it up before. God of War is one of Sony’s masterpiece flagship titles alongside the Metal Gear series, Ratchet & Clank series, and now also the Uncharted series;..."

"Now that the dust has settled from the best E3 in years, we can take a moment to process the years’ worth of upcoming-release insanity that we took in over four days – and that means making early, snap judgments based on what we’ve seen and played. One of the biggest and best presents for PS3 fans this year was a playable demo of the long-awaited God of War III, and it was joined on the show floor by a few games that clearly took their cues from Kratos’ past exploits (or were at least similar..."

""Back in 2005 when the PS3 was originally unveiled, Sony made a bold promise that we would be seeing, at the very least, CGI-quality graphics on Sony’s new platform, yet was keen enough not to give a solid time frame. Well, they’ve fulfilled their promise a lot faster than we had originally hoped for with the impending release of God of War 3.""

I have been a huge fan of the God Of War series since I first popped in the demo disc of God Of War 1 on my PS2. After I was done, I headed down to target and the clerk was nice enough to let someone under the age of 18 buy the game.

God Of War is famous for many reason, one in particular is its pure violence. Kratos has a blood lust, and in every game it gets more and more violent. I never had a problem with it, and am in not a sick freak who gets off at that. But I do enjoy a violent ga...

TheGamerAccess.com has posted more footage of the God of War III demo. The game looks absolutely amazing and I think we all are very hyped about Kratos' next story.

Challenge other gamers online; download extra levels and characters - or, in certain cases, continue your game on the go via PSP. With PS3, the game is just the start."

After the March reveal of God of War 3, we've had virtually no info on the game- until now. Some of these screenshots are from the trailers, but most of them are new, and some are even in-game. Nothing much, but maybe it'll hold us till E3, eh?

"Why he's overrated: Speaking of 'roid rage, check out this loser. Marcus Fenix is the kind of muscle-bound buffoon that makes even guys like Kratos seem like introspective philosophers. His personality consists entirely of grunting, shouting, and shooting.

As much as Epic Games has tried to fool gamers by licensing tie-in novels and comic books, we all know the truth. There is no real story to be had for Marcus in Gears of War, aside from arm up, take aim and go on a bug hunt. It's all ab..."

"Today, my husband and I were talking about names for our expectant child. I told him since I named our daughter he could name our son. He's decided on a name from 'God of War'. My son is going to be named after a make-believe cartoon character - Kratos. FML"

"To help you summon the wrath of your comments, we’ve crafted together a fairly short survey to ask for your opinions on what will make the Ultimate God of War III Collector’s Edition. We just want to give our God of War fans a chance to give us their ‘Kratos’ insights. So don’t hold back. This is your opportunity to rate and compare your own ultimate collector’s wish li..."

Stig Asmussen, a dev working on GOW3 has spoken out about EA's new game Dante's Inferno. He hopes that the game is a threat to God Of War 3 because he wants to see more great games of the same genre. He also said that Ex members that worked on previous God Of War games are currently working on Dante's Inferno and he hopes they build a great from great literature.

"God of War 3 director Stig Asmussen has said that the complexity of PS3 development forced his team to "re-think things", but backs Sony's decision to go with the more complicated hardware.

Speaking about statements made by Sony boss Kaz Hirai, that insinuated Sony intentionally made PS3 hard to develop for, Asmussen said: "From my perspective he is essentially saying that Sony made the conscious decision to make the PS3 as powerful as possible, and if that meant it was going to be a beast..."

"God of War II has a hidden message that appears in the sky when you trigger a secret orb stash, echoing the words of Robert Oppenheimer, the 'father of the nuclear bomb'. When Oppenheimer saw the world's first nuclear test in 1945, he said: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds" based on verse 32 from Chapter 11 of the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu script. And there it is, written slowly in the sky above Kratos – perhaps because of all the power you just absorbed. Eerie, huh? By the..."

Everytime we something of this game, it just screams "BAD ASS" and this new footage does so as well. God Of War 3 was shown off at GDC and while no one was supposed to be recording, some people just don't like rules. In this video you get to see Kratos climb a cyclops and use it as a weapon.

Update: The full video has been uploaded at shackvideo

"As Game Developer’s Week continues, we bring you the 2nd of our 5-part interview series with the people creating God of War III. Today, Art Director Ken Feldman tells us the mythology behind the story of Kratos, and where they get those gory ideas."

"Right before God of War III’s first playthrough was revealed to the media, we asked you: If you could ask the development team anything, what would it be? I then scribbled your queries onto a card and ran off to the event. We rolled camera, and since we’re now at GDC week, what better time to meet the team and get those questions answered?

So here we are, the first of five videos, beginning with a familiar face: Stig Asmussen, God of War III’s Game Director answers your questions, ranging ..."

"Sony has heralded God of War III as the epic conclusion to the story started way back in 2005 by David Jaffe's God of War. God of War III producer Steve Caterson acknowledged this, saying "Our goal is to wrap up the story we began with God of War I and continued with God of War II. We will be finishing that arc". However, this is by no means the end of the franchise."

"It shows a picture of a huge wall with harpies and blocks sticking out of it. The caption reads, "The wall of Tisiphone is a massive gate in tartarus that requires combat and puzzles gameplay to open." Sounds like we're going to Tartarus. Nice!

"70 percent of the original GoW staff is working on GoWIII." - That's good news

Quote from Stig Asmussen states, "The best way I can describe it,is that you take the battle of Normandy and combine it with the movie cloverfield, and throw Kratos tight..."

"Image Metrics, which recently provided facial animation for Sony Computer Entertainment America's God of War III videogame to be released exclusively on the PLAYSTATION3 system, is introducing new facial rigging services to the videogame and film markets."

Fumito Ueda, the creator behind Shadow Of The Colossus has been confirmed to be at GDC. But that doesn't mean we get to see Team Ico's new game, we might not even hear about it. But we still get to finally see it sometime this year, and what better time then E3. Team Ico has been confirmed to be present at the show and will show off their game.

In other news, God Of War 3 will be playable at E3 as well.

"Talking as part of Gamasutra's latest 'Analyze This' column, OTX's Nick Williams says that, according to his company's data, one third of those who plan to purchase God Of War III have yet to buy a PS3, implying a major bump for hardware sales when the game debuts.

Analysts including Williams were questioned as part of this month's column dealing with the major turmoil in the world economy, and how it might affect the game industry."

God Of War 3 is sure to set the Ps3 ablaze once it comes out. But right now, we fans are fighting for meager portions of any info. Some brand new artwork has been revealed for the game and the environments looks stunning.

Director of the God of War movie Brett Ratner has moved on from the project to direct yet another starring Chris Tucker, this time alongside Eddie Murphy (Rattner is behind the Rush Hour movies), sources say.

"God of War is a series that is still only a few years old, yet it has managed to accumulate an enormous fanbase, and has also bowled over critics. For those who know nothing of the game, it’s an action/adventure title set within Ancient Greece; you assume the role of Kratos, a fallen Spartan warrior seeking revenge against the Gods, whom he believes are the source of his troubles. With Ares vanquished at the end of the first game, it was only a matter of time before Kratos confronted the othe..."

"The recent barrage of media scarps released for Sony’s uber title is filled with potential and why should it not since it stands as a creation of Santa Monica Studios who are famous for crafting out really good looking and playing games. Here are a couple of screens that showcase the fantastic evolution of the series"

"It's a bummer that Sony's only releasing this teaser for God of War 3, especially since we've seen a good 15 minutes of gameplay and it looks fan-f'ing-tastic. A lot of what we saw during the gameplay demo is actually hinted at in the trailer, so we decided to pull out a few frames to highlight some of the kick ass aspects that you can expect to see in the full game."

"Well the less said the better, after witnessing the drop dead God of War III screens, the trailer seems to make everyone’s mouth water with the gorgeous amount of action and visual splendor on screen. Here are a couple of things that can be analyzed from the showcased trailer."

"Sitting in the appropriately-named Clarity Theatre in a Beverly Hills office building earlier this week, listening to new God of War director Stig Asmussen explain his plan to "define this generation," I initially didn't think much of his line that lumped together the Battle of Normandy and Cloverfield, figuring it was just hyperbole built for a pull quote.
As the day went on, though, I kept thinking about that line and the concept of comparing God of War 3 to a real war. Then I saw a scene ..."

"After spending two hours learning the ins and outs about God of War 3 earlier this week, I really, really want to play it. I heard Stig Asmussen, the game’s director, talk about ending the trilogy with a bang, creating an adventure on the backs of titans and managing to trump the previous entries in the series, thanks to the power of the PS3 hardware and the desire to give Kratos a solid send-off. I saw the latest teaser trailer, made up of in-game asset. I watched as Stig walked us through a..."

"We still don't have an official release date for the hotly anticipated action title, although most fans were hoping to see it some time later this year. Some recent evidence, including a sneak peek at the gameplay that SCEA will be offering to some publications in February, makes people believe in a 2009 launch. However, most realists will say the game has a Q1 2010 estimate, which we've certainly heard before. Now, we're hearing it again: according to HipHopGamer, retailer GameStop has appar..."

"This year will be a great one for video game fans, since we’re having an impressive bunch of very promising titles announced and, to be honest, I found it really hard to choose just 10 games since other highly promising titles like Borderlands, MAG, The Agency or Batman had to be left out. (And no, I did not forget about FFXIII which can’t be included since it only comes in 2010). But enough talking! Let’s check out the 10 hottest games to be released in 2009 for PS3 systems."

"Video game characters, though they might swear and be the master of unlocking locks, are usually not badass, mainly because they’re so stiff and run-of-the-mill. But then, there are exceptions, such as this list below, which is a compilation of characters so badass that they can even make YOU feel badass while playing as them, that’s how cool they are. Sadly, though, I’m pretty sure none of them have wallets that say “bad mother*bleep*er” on them. Oh, well, I never said that they were Samuel ..."

""I’m most looking forward to the coming instalments of PlayStation series that haven’t seen a true next generation debut – namely God of War and Final Fantasy. Everything I’ve seen on the new Final Fantasy games has looked fantastic, and I feel faint when I think of the potential of a PS3 God of War game."

David Jaffe man behind the epic series known as God of War and Twisted Metal touched on earlier about God of War 3 video he saw and was orgasming and touting it as going to be the best game ever with graphics superior to Gears 2. David Jeffe is a man I feel I could like, dignified and smart when he needs to be, but blunt as a sledgehammer when he's passionate about something. In this case the cancellation of the Philadelphian Video Game Expo in without any notice, despite him meant to be making an appearance via Skype. And God of War 3, which he says he has seen and its graphics top absolutely anything he has ever seen, even Gears of War 2, which he is a big fan of apparently.

Yet more bonuses are up for grabs if you pre-order the upcoming PS3 hit LittleBigPlanet at GameStop. As well as the already seen Kratos Sackboy skin two other skins, the 'Minotaur' and 'Medusa' skins as well as a new map pack are avaliable. View the ad below or at the source.

"You read the headline correctly, folks; the director of the indie-darlings Rush Hour, Rush Hour 2, and After the Sunset is officially attached to the film adaptation of videogame mega-hit, God of War. Hopefully, Ratner can convince David Jaffe, Sony hit maker and blog writing provocateur, to pen the script."

"Sony Computer Entertainment America and high-profile game designer David Jaffe have been sued in U.S. District Court in California for alleged copyright infringment involving the best-selling God of War series, GamePolitics has learned.

The suit was filed in late February by Jonathan Bissoon-Dath and Jennifer Barrette-Herzog, both of Davis, California. SCEA and Jaffe filed responses with the Court on August 29th.

In the complaint, Bissoon-Dath identifies himself as "the author of a seri..."

In the past, box art was clean and simple, such as the Atari 2600's. Nowadays, we have these amazing designs for box covers, but what if the games we play today had the same covers of the Atari 2600? the-minusworld has created some, such as Halo 3 and No More Heroes.

Some interesting news for God Of War 3's script. It is apparently is 120 pages, which is quite long for a video game script. Especially when the main character isn't the biggest talker. It will also fallow different story telling table. It will go by the beginning act, middle act, and conclusion act. As apposed to the typical opening sequence, game, closing sequence story telling.

"Another year, another grueling E3 experience for all involved. As press, we have to be in constant motion, reading, writing and presenting all the information that's blasted at our eyes and ears. As readers, you're tasked with digesting an ocean of content in 72 constantly updated hours. It's a hell of a ride and we're glad to be at the end, especially given the rather dismal nature of this year's show."
