"This is action gaming at its finest, and is absolutely one of the top reasons to own a PS3. God of War 3 is a AAA title that will not disappoint, and at a recently reduced price point of $49.99, there’s no reason to not own a copy."
"“God of War 3” is competent, but it will leave many players unhappy. The hackneyed ending will disappoint fans invested in Kratos’ story, and the developers’ slavish devotion to stale game mechanics won’t appeal to new players experienced in similar games that have more depth."
So first there was God of War, then there was God of War II, now there is.... yep, God of War III. Ben Leslie lets us know his views of the latest release in the series.
Today Yahtzee lays out his thoughts on the monster that is God of War III. Does it live up to the hype? Well, if you can count on anyone for an honest opinion, it's Yahtzee. Find out at the source.
"The game starts out with the camera panning across the City of Olympia, then up towards Mount Olympus where a number of mammoth sized titans are climbing. Zeus, whose kingdom is being rattled by the titan offensive, rounds up the other gods of Olympus – Poseidon, Hades, Hermes and Helios – in a bid to fight off the ascending threat..."
COme and see what 'experience' OXCGN reviewer had when he scurrued back to his house with this great title. WIll it be something they want to "steal for the 360"? or not.
OXCGN likes to review other platforms games, as they are gamers, not fanboys, so make sure you don't close your eyes just because it's on an Xbox site. Have some fun, come and check it out.

"No game is perfect, but Sony did come pretty close with God of War III. The only real complaint in the whole affair is that of the slow and dragged out pacing throughout the middle of the game. The puzzles can be a little boring at times, but beyond that the amazing visuals and great story all combine for an excellent gaming experience."
"Greek mythology became uber cool the day that Kratos first hit our PS2 screens back in 2005. In 2007, the God of War sequel managed to blow our minds once again and feed our interest in his world and mythology. Now after three long years of waiting and twiddling our thumbs in anticipation, the time for chaos to be unleashed has come, but will the former God of War rise to the challenge or will he become a forgotten hero. Prepare your weapons and strap on your man skirt, we’re about to find out."
"God of War III thankfully doesn’t shy away from the spectacle of its’ predecessors. In the opening sequence our anti-hero is riding atop a huge titan once again engaging in battle with gods. Stepping back into the shoes of the Ghost of Sparta is as comfortably gruesome as ever. The control system remains largely the same as ever and the abilities and weaponry Kratos will discover on his journey will be instantly familiar to fans of the series, while newcomers should have no problem adapting t..."
If you're like me, you couldn't care less about God of War III, at least, until you read Neoseeker contributor Heath Flor's review. Heath's a smart guy, you see, and has a way with words (and ladies), so he makes a pretty convincing case here.
Anyhow, head to the source to read the full bit, where he praises it as near perfect and living up to the hype.
"The God of War series first saw release on the PS2 back in March 2005 and it took gamers by surprise. Featuring sharp visuals and violent gameplay, Santa Monica Studios was able to evolve the traditional logic of what an intense action/adventure game was thanks to the introduction of Quick-Time Events and over-the-top killing sequences, God of War was quickly beloved by gamers of all kinds and the series never looked back from that point on. It’s now time for the final chapter of Kratos and h..."
"GameZone.com writes: "Ok, so Kratos is pissed off and ready to maim, murder, and viciously slice ‘n dice, hack ‘n rend anything that gets in his way, but come on – does it have to be this visceral?
"Apparently the SCEA dev team thought so, and the tone is set immediately in God of War III, the culmination of the trilogy of games based off a son of Zeus that is challenged by the Olympian gods, then used and abused, but left alive and rather rabid for revenge. GoW III is cringe-worthy, and i..."
