With fall releases in full swing the crew at Goozernation looks back to their ever growing backlog which includes games such as Red Dead Redemption, Fallout New Vegas, Goldeneye 007, Enslaved, Borderlands, Bulletstorm, LA Noire, and Metal Gear Solid 4. The bigger question here is how can a gamer find anytime to play this stuff and how did these games end up in the backlog?

Even the reveal of PlayStation Move motion control support was speculated well before the press release went out this morning.""

It has become common knowledge at this point that Nintendo's online infrastructure for the Wii is fairly primitive. Few games support voice chat, Friend Codes are required for games to run on Nintendo's servers, and in the case of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, sometimes the games with the most online potential don't even work. Despite the obvious shortcomings of the Wii's online, there have been some online enabled games that excel even with Nintendo's handcuffs.
"Before Arkham Asylum, there was in fact a superhero game that was remotely half decent. Spiderman 2 wasn't perfect, but it was such a great step forward in the terms of web-slinging antics that it was quite ridiculously fun to play. The first Spiderman game on PS2, for lack of a better term, sucked. You were completely limited as the webswinger, who could somehow mysteriously swing through mid-air with nothing to grip onto, making it silly. Each level was confined to a certain area, really li..."
"If you happened to be a young gamer back in the 90s then there is a good chance that one your parents might have told you to stop isolating yourself in your room playing videogames. If games have become more anything since that time then most would say that it has become a more social form of entertainment than in previous years. Apparently gaming is now included in our online global village meaning Gaming has managed to shrug off its image of it being something which isolates children and tu..."

"Gamers worldwide have been begging for a remake of GoldenEye ever since this generation of consoles kicked off in 2005 with the release of the Xbox 360. Well, after five years of waiting, Activision was able to find a way to bring it exclusively to the Nintendo Wii and were capable of doing many things right, while getting a few changes so wrong."

"Whenever the bathroom needed to be cleaned again, we played Virtua Tennis. Whenever we ordered pizza and someone would have to go get it because we were too cheap to tip for delivery, we played Virtua Tennis. When we had to decide which one of us had to contact the weird guy upstairs with the fake ID to go get some adult beverages, we played Virtua Tennis. If one of us said the sky was blue and the other said it was green, we played Virtua Tennis. And we didn’t argue with the results. If you ..."

"Critical Gamer writes: The impact Goldeneye had on me and, I suspect, every gamer in the universe at the time, was enormous. On consoles at least, there was very little out there that had as much multiplayer pull as Goldeneye. Today’s widely held belief that the best games are the games you can play with your friends, either online or in the same room, has its origins in a few titles, of which Nintendo can lay claim to two of the giants in Goldeneye and Mario Kart. Both titles are shoe ins fo..."
It's hard to find a gamer who didn't love Goldeneye. It was our first FPS for many of us. With such a cult-classic game, a reboot can be promising or damning. Which one do you think it will be?

"5. Vending Machine Trapper - BioShock 2
This one barely made the list for two reasons - it was obviously a significant part of the game and BioShock 2 didn’t host the most popular multiplayer experience. However, nothing was more frustrating than running up to a vending machine to refill on Eve or Ammo only to be greeted by a laughing clown and a bomb in the family jewels. You could freeze the traps but almost never thought to do so. Yes, there was a big blinking red light but it was hard ..."
"As you probably know, GoldenEye 007 remake will be on Wii. It’s a pretty hostile platform for FPS games and the very anticipated remake wasn’t expected on Wii by the fans. They would have prefered a beautiful remake on PS3 or Xbox 360. After all, GoldenEye was on N64 and stays on Nintendo’s console."
"The opening scene is structurally very similar. The layout where you begin is almost identical and you have the same silenced pistol to take out the patrolling Russian soldier, who's packing the classic AK-47 machine gun. And yes, the first tower opposite the tunnel also has the infamous sniper rifle sitting there for you."
Gametrailers have released the debut gameplay trailer for the upcoming Wii release, Goldeneye 007.
What I want to know is, where's Pierce Brosnan?
