Over the years Konami has become famous for dipping it's toes into the world of shooters. Well known for creating some of the best of the genre.

Konami early today/late yesterday revealed the latest entry in the longstanding shoot-em-up series Gradius, announcing Gradius Rebirth, to be released on WiiWare.

It is currently unknown whether or not this is an entirely new installment in the series or if it is a remake.
