EA Sports has officially announced the sequel to the Wii hit Grand Slam Tennis. This time, the game will come to both Xbox 360 and PS3 and feature *surprise* motion controls. Check out the first few details here:

During a conference call following the release of their financial report earlier today, EA Sports head honcho Peter Moore has confirmed that the 360 and PS3 versions of Grand Slam Tennis, the publisher's first tennis title which released for the Wii back in June, have been delayed. EA has diverted resources from the teams involved towards making an expansion pack for their wildly popular EA Sports Active fitness title, which should release later this year.

Nintendo's made some announcements regarding games that will be hitting Japan during summer. Japanese gamers get to look forward to the Wii Sports Resort bundle which will be released on June 25. The Wii Motion Plus add-on will be released separately simultaneously for use with EA's Grand Slam Tennis and Alpha Unit's battling simulation, Batting Revolution.
