Halo Wars, Ensemble Studios' upcoming RTS set in the Halo universe, has gone gold and is ready to ship to the factory for duplication. The game is scheduled for a February 27th release in Japan and Europe, while North American gamers will have to suffer until March 3rd. Halo Wars is certainly starting to gather interest as it takes form, and the latest issue of Gamepro adds some new tidbits of information to add to the pile.
Basically the game is going to be fast, real fast. In fact the developers say you can be in combat within 10 seconds of starting the game (though this is likely a exaggeration) and a list of units confirmed so far is also included.

Six publishers showcased more than 40 new titles for Microsofts Xbox 360 in San Fransisco and Los Angeles, Gears of War 2 being in the presentation, as well as Fable 2.

A 14 year-old boy, attending a middle school in Wyoming, was suspended for sketches of the popular video game, Halo. Search warrants were assigned to the boy's house, his father's home, and took his computer for evidence. The boy has not been charged with any crimes, however, he did threaten a fellow pupil and he has been seen shooting pigeons with an assault rifle while on his roof.
