After several issues within the past year, Heroes of Newerth developer S2 Games has decided to go to a free to play model. This comes after a catastrophic sever failure a month and a half ago.
Will this decision help recuperate their losses and turn their game into a f2p juggernaut? Only time will tell.
"They currently do not have the hardware needed to restore or install new servers, nor are they readily available. A S2 representative said they are working as fast as they can to restore the servers and make games available to players again."

It's been kind of weird to see a lack of releases on the Wii and DS the last couple of weeks. Really not much there. Of course, it has also been odd to see the number of new releases on the PS3 and 360 during a time of year that typically doesn't get much in the way of games period. Spring is the new Christmas!
