A new system bundle, containing a silver-colored Playstation 3 as well as three Platinum Range titles, have been revealed by online retailer, Amazon France.
"One of the big themes of gaming recently is morality. It was squeezed into all sorts of places, but tended to force the player into a pure good or pure evil playthrough of a game, as the strict dichotomy setup between the two didn’t accommodate for the foggier choices people tend to be forced into making in real life. I find the idea an excellent one, though. A game where my decisions affect the world around me in some way inevitably draws me deeper into the narrative as I make the character ..."
Hungering for a little for inFamous action? Festival of Blood is the perfect bite sized portion. Cole's new abilities are a lot of fun and besides everything is better with vampires, right?
The second installment in a weekly series examining different methods of storytelling used in video games. This week we are looking at the increasingly popular trend of player choice.
"If you fancy yourself a thrifty gamer, then you’ll want to take a look at this list of top ten video games for sale for under $10. Whether you play games on the PC, Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3, you’ll find something for you in the list of discount games. Some of these video game deals will only be around for one day, so hurry up and save yourself some money."
Sony entertainment of america has bought out Sucker Punch a video game maker of games like Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper and INfamous. They have done this for a few reasons why and how it will effect ps vita and ps3 are at the core of this buy out by sony. This buy out will help to insure more open world games from sucker punch on sony's systems.
As of Monday, Sucker Punch Productions now belongs to the Sony Entertainment of America development portfolio. Studio insiders were not surprised by the purchase, stating that it just reaffirms the relationship between the development studio and the electronics giant.
The PSN Welcome Back program is reported by many outlets as officially a go. Amongst all the cluster that will exist (expect error o’ plenty) to reach for these games, you are probably asking yourself which ones to get?
With the pending accoutrement of the Wii HD at E3 its time to start reflecting on this generation of consoles. What will gamers remember the most about this generation? Will it be the Wii's motion controls, the 360's RROD, and/or PSN getting hacked? What about the games of this generation?
Morality has become the gaming theme of this generation. Black, and White, Good vs. Evil with some choices doing nothing to impact the long term plot. Gamers have experienced morality in games such as Fallout 3, Mass Effect, GTA IV, Bioshock as well as several others. Goozernation takes a look at the bigger questions and asks is morality really needed? Why do gamers always have to make a choice with consequences?
"On this week's MP3 David capitulates to the siren song of Minecraft, Nick goes back in Timeshift and back in Trine, and Pat explores Dungeon Hunter on PSN. Andy remains hooked on Pokemon Black, finally finishes inFamous, talks Might and Magic Clash of Heroes, and dishes the scoop on the Gears of War 3 beta. We also collectively talk about Portal in anticipation for Portal 2.
Capcom solidifies itself as a recurring news item, and trivia fails to get a correct answer this week."
"Well, I have a solution for you! By using Craigslist to buy, sell and trade games you can cut your video game expenditures immensely! I played about 30 games this past year and did so without spending any money. Over the next few paragraphs I will try and outline the approach I use to make all my acquisitions. Hopefully, by applying these factors to your own Craigslist usage you will find the same success I have."
"Video games often give their protagonists significant others. Rarely does this turn out very well. For every interesting love interest, there are 40 bland, generic, and/or annoying ones. Even when it’s an RPG that gives you multiple choices, almost all of them are terrible, if not all of them. So here’s a list of what I consider the worst five significant others in video games."
While stereotypical characters are still fun and fitting for certain video games, it's nice to recognize characters that go against these stereotypes and make a unique name for themselves.
"Since there are literally hundreds of thousands of games out there, it’s no easy task for lead characters to make a lasting impression on the player. Once in a while however, you'll come across a leader that's different. Somehow, that character manages to set himself apart from the others."
"Until Sucker Punch nailed down the final gameplay and character designs Cole at one point had dreadlocks and was called 'Gear Wolf'. The character also used to ride a trial like motorcycle to get through the city. The other concept for large area city movement was a disk shaped hoverboard. Interesting. Before Cole was finalized he used to wield guns which developed into lightning powers after many redesigns. Sucker Punch showed off some powers which did not make the game including 'Minion Pow..."
"Sony has updated the Playstation Network Store and revealed the first set of special offers for Playstation Plus subscribers on top of the regular additions for non-subscribers. The first PS Plus sales are from 50% off on select Midway classic arcade titles and slight discounts but free DLC from TikGames/Creat Studios."
Alex Baldwin takes an honest look at how some developers are reducing our games down to a simple formular of blandification in order to appeal to all audiences, much like ads now do on TV or visual media, in order to not offend or discriminate .
An interesting perspective, especially with regards to how Infamous 2 is turning out of late. Not everyone is happy with how things are melding together in the big coffee pot of the world. Take a look.
Sucker Punch’s Matthias Lorenz and Billy Harper explain why they decided to change look and personality of Cole in the upcoming Playstation 3 exclusive, inFamous 2.
"n 2009, Sucker Punch Productions released Infamous, a super-powered sandbox game that was a drastic departure from the studio's well-known Sly Cooper franchise. Venturing into new territory paid off for Sucker Punch; the PS3-exclusive Infamous has sold nearly 2 million copies, providing a combination of mobility and electrical powers that makes gamers feel like a true superhero. For Infamous 2, the team hopes to raise the bar even higher. A new look for hero Cole MacGrath is just the first st..."
Sucker Punch cofirms the sequel to the critically acclaimed open world superhero title in the Portugese Official Playstation Magazine. No release date yet.
Five unannounced yet heavily-rumored Playstation 3 exclusive games that may appear at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, which will be held next month.
There have been rumors floating around the 'net that a sequel to inFamous is already in the works.
Well, it looks like that rumor might be coming true. Sony recently registered the domain name for inFamous 2.
Four of the latest Greatest Hits games on the Playstation 3 are being bundled with a DualShock 3 controller in May and will be sold along with the peripheral for $59.80.
"As we reported yesterday, Sony is adding new games to the "Greatest Hits" collection. However, Sony has now confirmed that there are ten games getting added and not just the five that were showin in the Wal-Mart flyer. Expect to start seeing the fancy new red boxes and $29.99 prices at retailers in the next couple of weeks."
"Thrifty gamers who weren't willing to spend $60 on some of the biggest games from the last year and a half will get their wallets tempted as five new titles have been added to the Playstations 3's "Greatest Hits" line."
""In a great sandbox game, simply horsing around in the environment and exploring for hours on end can be just as fun as going through the rigmarole of the game’s storyline and campaign.""
For Reward Zone Members (membership is free and you can sign up on the website), Best Buy is offering $5 to $20 printable coupons on select video games for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. Games include NERF-N-Strike with EliteSwitch Shot EX-3 Blaster for Wii, Infamous, White Knight Chronicles Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and several others.
"The publication has speculated that the title will revisit the game world "a significant time after the first game, offering a reshaped metropolis". However, this news remains speculation for the moment as Sony representatives have refused to comment on the publication's report."
Yesterday images leaked over the internet of the new skin pack for Uncharted 2. Today, Naughty Dog confirmed this on the Playstation Blog and it will be released on Jan. 28th. The skin pack lets you play as Nathane Hale or a Chimera from Resistance2, A Helghast or Sev from Killzone 2 and as Evil or Good Cole and Zeke from inFamous. The pack will be priced at $4.99.
"The industry has had it perfected for roughly five years now, or since the release of Spiderman 2. What I’m talking about is your controlled character’s ability to cross gigantic cityscapes quicker than you can say “parcheesi.” Quicker, I say, because you might stutter a couple of times.
I should have chosen a different word.
Surprisingly, it got even better from there. Ultimate Spiderman succeeded Spiderman 2, and last year we were lucky enough to get both InFamous and Prototype; the c..."
"There were many great games that released in 2009 and there were also some pretty bad games. Much like a book, you can't judge a game by the cover. Some games have beautiful box arts, but the game itself is terrible, while others have great boxes and are great games. It's time to look at the best box arts that the video game industry had to offer in 2009. Some may surprise you, but others will likely not. Some of these games were great, while others were forgetful."
"This years GOTY award for the Playstation 3 is named "Lowest Install Time" for two reasons. The first is that we are fans of irony, and the second is that Allegedly Speaking does not condone the handing out of compliments without some form of backhand attached to it. With that in mind, here are your nominees..."
"In an unsurprising turn of events, Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed that Sucker Punch Productions’ PlayStation 3 exclusive release, inFamous, has sold in excess of 1.2 million units worldwide, as of October 2009. Originally launched across Europe in May 2009, inFamous has been met with great success, and both a sequel and a motion-picture adaptation are currently in the works."
"In that which has become a bane of the videogames publishing community, the currently unannounced inFamous sequel has all but been confirmed. Voice actor David Sullivan appears to have taken it upon himself to reveal the inevitable inFamous 2, tweeting about his role in the game."
"This latest update can be a bit vague. If you try to enter www.infamousmovie.com on your browser, you'll be redirected straight to Sony Pictures's home page, but no inFamous Movie info in sight. What this tells us is that Sony already owns the domain name. So far, no cast members have been confirmed, so if they're planning to go 2010, now would be a good time to audition."
"Yet another popular videogame title is being considered for the big screen treatment, as today it was revealed that the rights to Sucker Punch’s PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive release inFAMOUS have been purchased by Sony Pictures."
"2nd August 2009 - Welcome readers to this week’s All Age Gaming "The Week That Was".This week we talk more about Games on Demand, slim PS3 rumours and the Wii’s software domination. There weren’t any new game releases for the three major consoles this week, so let’s move straight into the news."
It seems like this is the latest trend in video games. First Uncharted, then Dead Space and now inFamous. While inFamous was good and popular, but is it big enough to become a movie? Well Sony thinks so as they payed Sheldon Turner, the screen writer for X-Men Origins Wolverine a hefty sum to adapt it into a movie.
Hollywood must be really running out of ideas.
""Media Molecule is ensuring that fans get to choose between an evil and a good Sackboy, with their latest batch of DLC, for LittleBigPlanet.
inFamous is the latest game to be blended into the LittleBigPlanet universe. And, if you ask us, SackCole just looks adorable!""

"The story in this open world game though is not just about seeking revenge and finding the perpetrators; you actually have control in how it pans out. You pick and choose the path to take during your missions and depending on your decision, this will impact on how your Karma meter is indicating."
"Infamous is as much about the human condition as it is about science fiction (and you thought you were just playing a videogame). This latest game from developer Sucker Punch is a lot more than typical action genre fare. Aside from the explosions, the violence, and the extreme circumstances, inFamous is a game which plays on the frailty of human beings and exposes our truest nature in the face of adversity."
I'm sure everyone must remember Yahtzee's review of both [PROTOTYPE] and inFAMOUS, right? Right?? Sure you have! And I'm sure everyone remembers Yahtzee's challenge at the end of his inFAMOUS review, that both games were awesome and it was a tie as to which was better. Therefore the winner would go to the one who sent him the best picture of the other game's main character in a woman's bra.
Well I certainly didn't expect these devs to actually answer such a challenge . . . did you? They d...
"In about 24 hours or so, you're going to be able to walk the docks of Empire City, the burg that Cole inadvertently blew up in Infamous. Sure, you could already kind of do that in the game itself, but this time, you'll be wandering the docks in PlayStation Home as the avatar you've whipped up.
Not intrigued yet? Well, there are also a mini-games, graffiti creation, and story-expanding tidbits.
Yup, there's a lot going on in this new Homespace, and Sony was nice enough to invite me ove..."
"The march of technology is supposed to make things better for consumers, but these days it seems videogame makers strive to find new ways to take more of our money and give us less in return.
We are not communists here at Game|Life. We want publishers to make financially prudent decisions so they can continue to deliver games that fuel our addictions. But some bone-headed business moves benefit everyone except us."
You beat inFamous, you watched as Cole became a super hero, or a villain. Now what do you do? Why you read the comics of course! If you couldn't tell inFamous is supposed to be much like a superhero comic book (especially by the cut scenes) and sucker punch of released all the comics online. Follow the link to read all 4 issues.
"Sucker Punch’s brand new Playstation 3 exclusive inFAMOUS is out and selling like hotcakes, countless PS3 owners are happy and Sony fanboys are trying to rub this title in 360 owners faces.
I recently had the pleasure of playing through the entire game to find out if this title really is worthy of all its hype and if 360 owners should really be jealous or not… Here is the lowdown:
In Sucker Punch’s new game, you play as Cole McGrath (no, not the guy from Gears of War), an ex-bike messe..."
TheGamerAccess.com has received word that one of the biggest electronic retail stores, Best Buy, will be selling inFAMOUS for a reduced price of $29.99 for a short period of time in Canada. Check it Out!
"We love our reviews here at Resume Play, and I have personally noticed that the reviews we put out for you guys might not be getting enough exposure, so here it is; Review Play.
What is Review Play? Simply, it is a weekly post to show off all of the reviews that have been posted within the last week. "Imagine waking up one day to find thousands of civilians laying dead on the sidewalks and roads of the city you have come to know over the years. Charred corpses and burnt out vehicles scatter the horizon. At the heart of this catastrophe, you find yourself at the epicentre of the explosion, unsure if you were the cause of the disaster. It's only then that you begin to learn that you are no longer a normal human being, but rather that this tragedy has gifted you with the amazing ability to st..."
"Two games have recently been released that bear several striking similarities. Both of these games are open-world sandbox titles featuring superpowered antiheroes who begin to realize a host of awesome abilities with which to distribute justice and/or malice as they see fit. While they share a lot of features, the two games are certainly distinguishable, taking the superhero model in different directions.
However, that doesn't mean we're not going to compare and fight about them anyway, ju..."

The developers were obviously going for a dark, comic-book style for inFAMOUS and it fits the gameplay perfectly, as you play as a superhero (or superantihero) with electric powers who leaps around a city in chaos, dealing death to evildoers and/or innocent bystanders depending on the choices you make. So what went wrong?
This week Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw has a go at Sucker Punch's sandboxy game inFamous.
Lots of laughs in this one as always -- all in all, he quite liked the game though has some major qualms.
Give it a look at the source.
"If a sequel is ever made to InFamous and more of a focus is put on telling a compelling story and a multiplayer/co-op mode is added it will easily be a contender for game of the year."
"The hype for inFamous really only got going about two months ago, and now on release people hope to see it become the new Superhero exclusive of the PS3.
What inFamous actually is, is a open world sandbox game that hides it’s GTA inspired mechanic’s by covering them with super powers and a more interesting story campaign. It’s designed and created by the Sucker Punch development team, yes those guys who gave us that cute little Sly Raccoon, and - as always - backed by SONY. Microsoft fanb..."
"inFAMOUS presents itself as an over the shoulder shooter, holding L1 brings up you reticule and you press R1 to shoot, The circle button acts as your roll/dodge and taking cover control, and square is your melee button. These are the basic controls, but more unlock as you receive more powerful abilities. You can change what arm you are using with a quick press of the right stick. You have also the ability to hang from cover or buildings while shooting, which comes in handy for the sections of..."

One of the staff members from TheGamerAccess.com had there PS3 bricked on them yesterday as he was trying to play inFAMOUS due to the "Yellow Light of Death". To make things even worse, the game he had just bought was stuck in the console.
This is bad news for him, but good news for you.
"Sony HQ Australia is very deceiving. Tucked away in the depths of Surry Hills, the outside looks like a rather ordinary office building. No enormous, gold-plated sign or ominous security guards at all. But once you get inside and up the stairs, it is a completely different world. You are greeted by a modern and well-equipped office, complete with a boardroom full of TV's, fridges full of drinks and the holy grail of office furniture, a coffee machine. Certainly, something that an engineer wor..."
If you've got a PlayStation 3, then you've probably already purchased or plan to get inFAMOUS. Well, in celebration of launch, Sony released two new videos for the game. Plenty of Cole-in-action!
Some of you may have already seen the first one, as it was aired on TV during the Western Conference Finals, Game 4. Now you view the 30-second ad in its entirety. The second is actually a new trailer titled "Duality." You can guess based on the name what it's about. Both videos feature lots...
InFAMOUS is a fantastic game, much better than what the gameplay videos and the demo portray. Apart from a few graphical hiccups, the game is AAA quality and a must buy for PlayStation 3 owners
A rather bizarre collection of titles coming this May 24, mixed in with the blockbuster Infamous and a couple lesser known but great titles.
So, for the Wii and DS we have Rolling Stone: Drum King (??), Space Camp, the appearing generic but possible good Speed Zone, The Munchables, Personal Trainer: Walking (for those that haven't quite figured it out yet), and Puffins: Island Adventure -- hell yeah!
Damnation (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) is a title we highly recommend checking out -- described...
"Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) and SPIL GAMES today announced that the official mini-game for the upcoming PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) exclusive title, inFAMOUS, will debut exclusively on SPIL GAMES online casual game portals from today, May 22nd-29th."
It seems that the online games retailer Shopto is now selling Infamous with he Uncharted 2 Beta code, plus it's being sold at a mere £32.95. So if your looking for a good retailer to get the game from look no further. Well for the United Kingdom at least.
I normally pre-order my games from this site and get them two days earlier from release. There is also a limited edition of Infamous on that site, feel free to check that out while you're there also.
"Besides platforming, Cole also participates in a fair amount of combat. He starts with a pretty basic "shoot lightning from his fist" type of power; most of the skirmishes featured Cole moving around fast during aiming-mode (pressing and holding L1) and flinging lightning rapidly by pressing R1. While spamming the basic lightning attack serves as the backbone of combat, Cole eventually gains powers that let him do things like throw grenades, "force push" anything in front of him, perform snip..."

Sony have released an interview they conducted with the developer of the highly anticipated Playstation 3 game, inFamous. Read the full interview to find out more about this promising looking game.
This seems to have settled some worries for people. inFamnous lets you go back and forth between evil and good. For example if you decide to be a little more evil on a certain mission, you can go ahead and still go back to being good after a few good karma missions. Now you don't have to create two game saves one for being good and the other for evil.
"
When you pick up the controller, you'll be dropped into the shoes of Cole. He used to be your everyday bike messenger, but that all ended when he was delivering a package and the thing went off in his hands. The ensuing blast leveled a gigantic portion of the city and left Cole in a coma. When he wakes up, everything is screwed -- there's a plague that's making people sick, the government's quarantined Empire City, gangs have seized control of the three islands that make up the metropolis..."
"This demo contains 4 total missions, two story missions and two side missions. You’ll be tossed into the first one immediately with a Hero rank, and tasked with getting a train full of Reaper prisoners out of their territory and back to safety. Your enemies aren’t going to take kindly to this, and here is where I should tell you that the AI in this game doesn’t mess around."
Another hint towards Sucker Punch producing a sequel to the well received Sly games has been made in the demo for upcoming super hero game Infamous. Going over the theater shows a small list of titles, and at the top of the list is Sly Cooper 4.
The Infamous demo for those who preordered the game from GameStop came out a day earlier than expected. You can download it now from the Playstation Store.
Home was already announced to get a new feature called 'StageSet', but its getting a lot more then just that. The Playstation.Blog has a run down of a ton of new features for Home. And Siren fans will be very pleased with this news as well.
"As opposed to the Play.com exclusive Uncharted 2 Beta Access Code – suggested an external offering currently, rather than containing details within the package – gamers eager to get their hands on some extra inFamous action can now pre-order the Special Edition from independent UK videogame stockists. Included in the bundle is a set of limited edition postcards, as well as a comic book based on the game."
"April was a slow month for big blockbuster titles. Fortunately, May is looking like it will pick up the slab with several promising games. Here are the top five new video games to look forward to this month."
Anyone in the United Kingdom hoping Shopto would receive a beta code with their version think again. I just got a reply from the Shopto support team and they have confirmed to me that their version of Infamous does not have the beta code included with it. Check the image below for proof.
The only confirmed retailer to have the code in the United Kingdom is Play.com.
Infamous was scheduled for a May 26th release. However, if you look hard enough, you may be able to find the Playstation 3 exclusive title at retail right now as some stores has broken the street date.
Resumeplay.net brings you a compilation of upcoming games that you should definitely have a look at.
From the upcoming PS3 exclusive InFamous to Wii's first Hardcore FPS since Red Steel, The Conduit.

Chris Heidorn, software engineer from Sucker Punch has revealed info about the trophies and stunts of InFamous, the Action/Adventure superhero game due to come out late May. He gives an in-depth description of how the stunts were designed, tested, and how you can do some of them. These stunts will add some more replay value to a game that looks like it will never get old.
"Sucker Punch put aside their cute colorful action Sly Cooper action games and tried their hand a more sinister action game to coincide with their jump from PlayStation 2 hardware to PlayStation 3 development. All of their pent up badness resulted in a mind blowing game. After I got my hands on it at the Sony PlayStation GamersDay Press Event 09 over in Seattle I just knew that I had to lay down the money for a PlayStation 3 system to play it on. If you ask me inFAMOUS is going to be worth the..."
"Sony has released some new footage of their upcoming open-world, pseudo-super hero game, inFamous. The new trailer is basically a montage of the fictional Empire City and how the hero (or villain) can make use of the vast concrete playground.
The Empire City Trailer is definitely and easily a nominee for one of the coolest game trailers of 2009. Once you see it you’ll be hard-pressed to disagree. The gameplay montage is compiled excellently…giving gamers an unparalleled look at this upcomi..."
"inFamous, one of Sony’s major 2009 PS3-exclusive releases, will arrive at UK retail on May 29th, MCV can confirm.
Developed by Sucker Punch, inFamous takes a similar approach to the free-roaming sandbox Grand Theft Auto mechanic as was seen in Realtime Worlds’ Crackdown – granting the player super-human abilities with which to fight to foes and traverse the game world."
Thus far it was simply a rumour, but today it has been confirmed. The 'big' news that was said to have been releasing today has been released on the US Playstation Blog, and a Multiplayer Mode has been confirmed for the game.
As for how it relates to inFamous... simple... the Beta for the Multiplayer Mode will be available through vouchers within inFamous boxes. Whilst it was originally thought of to be strictly for Best Buy, it seems that all games included within the first batch of inFa...
"Superheroes and video games ought to be a match made in geek heaven. Games let us vicariously do things that we can’t do in real life, and what could be a better candidate for wish-fulfilment than strutting around as a super-powered do-gooder? The problem is that most superhero games are mediocre at best, and lots of them simply suck. Video games usually involve a character overcoming significant obstacles, often through the use of force, and these mechanics often don’t work when playing as a..."
"The ever-elusive PR team at Sony has cobbled together a quick, 15-second video teasing an upcoming announcement that will arrive on Monday, April 27. We're not going to endlessly speculate what this 'electrifying' announcement will be, but it will obviously involve some crossover between inFamous and Uncharted 2. For now, check out the teaser, entitled ???, posted on Sony's official YouTube channel.
"
Sony had planned a big announcement on April 27th, but it looks like the info has already leaked. After looking at the back boxart for inFamous greets you with the words "Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta Voucher". I guess with this, it also confirms Uncharted 2 will have multi player.
"The title pretty much says it all -- Infamous has gone gold. This means the game is done and the discs are getting pressed. Now, you just have to wait until May 25 to take Cole and all of his electricity-based superpowers out on the (ruined) town"
In just over a month (May 26th, 2009) the PS3 will launch another big console exclusive in Sucker Punch Products third person shooter inFamous. This just a few months after the release of Killzone 2 will leave many Sony fanboys asking for the first time since the PS3's release, “What game should I play?”
inFamous was set to release sometime in June, but Sucker Punch has worked their ass off to make sure the game comes out earlier. Now inFamous has a solid release date and will hit US store shelves on may 26th. The demo will be released on May 21st. But if you pre-order the game, not only will you get the extra power, but also outfits for HOME and early access to the demo.
"Reserve inFamous and receive a code that unlocks the GameStop exclusive Gigawatt Blades Power. With electric blades extending from his wrists, a single blow annihilates any foe and transforms Cole's hands into instruments of sheer destruction. Yet still gentle enough to allow for the occasional tickling."
"Trash cans, water jugs and broken glass are just some of the instruments being used in the musical score of inFamous, the upcoming PS3-exclusive adventure. SCEA Music Manager Jonathan Mayer is using his experience with God of War II and Uncharted to overlook the game's distinct sound, one that "encapsulate[s] the gritty and decimated nature of Empire City." Not only are unconventional instruments being used, traditional orchestral instruments are being played in very non-traditional ways. "Bu..."
"I think the people around the office are starting to worry about me…
That’s okay, it’s good for them to think the producer is a little nuts I think… In a sort of twisted way I really enjoy the final crunch of game production. We are working a ton, and of course miss our families and lives, but to me it feels like the best part of the project, and I don’t think I’m alone in that sense… What can I say? We’re workin’ hard and it really shows in the game. The detail work, the polish, the bug f..."
Developers Sucker Punch sure are trying to spur some interest in their upcoming game Infamous, and for me at least its working. Just today via Playstation Blog they have promised a demo for PSN, a worldwide release date of June and even shown us the boxart (which is pictured to the right). A new trailer and more info is promised next week.
In a very confusing way a representative for Sucker Punch explains when inFamous will mostly likely release. It seems as if it may be coming in June, even though the rep implies that it's coming in late Spring.
"Sucker Punch Productions' upcoming PS3 game inFamous, starring a bike messenger who gains electrical superpowers, obviously draws upon comic books for inspiration. It seems the video game, in turn, might inspire a comic."
Check out this cool new video interview for inFamous. Talking with the devs about a whole new prison island the world of inFamous. The prison island is full of a new gang that is revealed to us as well. But that isn't the new enemy, check out the video to see a giant monstrous metal machine that I wouldn't want to mess with. Unless I had electricity powers.
"This year will be a great one for video game fans, since were having an impressive bunch of very promising titles announced and, to be honest, I found it really hard to choose just 10 games since other highly promising titles like Borderlands, MAG, The Agency or Batman had to be left out. (And no, I did not forget about FFXIII which cant be included since it only comes in 2010). But enough talking! Lets check out the 10 hottest games to be released in 2009 for PS3 systems."
"During the CES 09 convention yesterday, Sucker Punch released two new gameplay videos for inFamous showcasing Cole's electrifying powers. It seems players will have quite a powerful arsenal of moves in inFamous, from throwing exploding globes of electricity to a force blow that sends cars and enemies into the air.
Check out the two gameplay trailers below."
A new Infamous trailer fresh from CES 09. By now you know the drill, Cole gets some superpowers and has to choose between good or evil. Luckily for us either way he gets to blow stuff up! Between this and Prototype I think free roam lovers will be pretty satisfied this year.
G4tv has done a special on upcoming PS3 Infamous. Showcasing a interview with director Nate Fox and a impressive amount of gameplay. Both show a lot about how the game will function, and all things seem to be leaning towards an impressive title. Just click on the top item at the top of the related videos list. Oh and 5 points alone for giving Cole a hot medic girlfriend.
Nate Fox, the game director of upcoming PS3 exclusive InFamous has solicited a interview with EuroGamer (complete with questions submitted from members of the site) which has revealed a large amount of details on the title. He confirms PSN downloadable content before the game is released, different ways of developing your character, a unlockable (think GTA here) city and even a hint at multiplayer.
"resh from the Tokyo Game Show comes a handful of new screenshots snapped from Infamous, Sony's upcoming Playstation 3 exclusive developed by Sucker Punch.
Included in the batch is a piece of concept art for the "Thunderdrop" attack, as well as several scenes snapped from the demo given at TGS. People are tossed around, cars elevated and an electricity station plays host to an electrically charged battle."
Infamous, the superhero free roamer made by the good people at Sucker Punch may not be an entirely singleplayer game. In a interview with Nate Fox IGN asked some questions about multiplayer and PSN integration. To say his answer hints toward multiplayer being revealed in two months is a understatement.
IGN managed to get a Q&A with Sucker Punch (Creators of the Sly Cooper series) about a game that they are developing called inFamous, a sandbox video game shooter coming out exclusively for the PS3. Sucker Punch answered questions about the story, what powers players will have during the game, and tons more!
Page 2 of the Q&A can be found here.
You might not be overly excited about Infamous the PS3 exclusive being developed by Sucker Punch (the creators of Sly Cooper) but you should be. The story starts when main character Dylan's home town is hit by a disaster and he discovers his powers. He then must choose between good and evil while developing his powers and fighting style along the way in the free roamable Empire City. Stealth and superpowers? Count me in
"I just got contacted with someone who really wanted to share these scans from the GameInformer magazine, he/she wanted to remain anonymous...or should i say Infamous. And didn't reveal to me how they got these before anyone else...but they wished that if you enjoyed these screen to please purchase a copy of the Mag when it is released. Thank you."
"Cover story is Infamous (Game looks *bleep*ing awesome)
- "Infamous begins with a serene, panoramic skyview view of EMpire City on the title screen, with the words "press start flashing". ..once you push start, a massive explosion rips through the heart of the city. Six city blocks are consumed by flame...in the center, a man named Dylan staggers to his feet."
- Dylan doesn't know how he got his powers and starts out apathetic. He then becomes invest in the city...or you can choose not to b..."
"Among the varied selection of games shown off for the PlayStation 3, Sucker Punch's Infamous was an eye-popping surprise. The original game from the Washington-based developer is a far cry from the cel-shaded Sly Cooper series that helped put the studio on the map. The teaser trailer for the game showed off a gritty, realistic art style and a whole lot of superpowered madness. We tracked down Sucker Punch cofounder and producer Brian Fleming to find out what the developer is cooking up for th..."
