"GamingUnion: "Although they haven't produced bucket loads of original IPs in their lifetime, Naughty Dog has still become a staple brand within the game industry. The IPs they've created have offered gamers the very best in terms of creativity and graphics and you'll be pushed to find someone who will disagree. With Crash Bandicoot, Jax and Daxter, and, of course, the Uncharted series under their belt, many would say Naughty Dog has got it made. In honor of the recent announcement of the Last..."
"Jak and Daxter, a marriage made in gaming heaven. While the game's main protagonist may have (originally) been a mute, he was always shadowed by the irrepressible wit and charm of Daxter, his best friend who - after a regrettable incident with some shape-changing eco - turned into an orange rodent. In the original game, the player found themselves in a bright and refreshing platformer in which you would run, jump, punch and kick your way to 'Power Cells'. It was a successful formula, but the ..."
"We've heard that "two brains are better than one," and while video games heroes are able to handle themselves, it's hard to deny the strength in numbers and the power of teamwork. Sidekicks are a valuable resource to many aspiring heroes, and if you think about it, even some villains need them around. These partners not only watch your back, but they also assist you in finding key items and coming up with strategies to defeat your enemies. Despite minor annoyances, it's safe to admit that ..."
This week we have a couple of new rhythm/music games coming out, Sony releases their new 250GB PS3 Slim bundle, and PSP owners finally get their hands on the new Jak and Daxter title.
Oh, and Dragon Age: Origins (PC/360) hits the shelves this week. RPG fans: if you haven't already checked it out, you should.
Complete list of games scheduled to be released this week (still subject to change):
"We previously offered a brief hands-on preview for Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier in early September. While that demo only featured three levels to explore, it gave us the general idea of what to expect from the first PSP installment of the Jak and Daxter franchise. We recently received an extended preview build of the game and got to go hands-on with the first nine levels."
"If you aren’t familiar with this upcoming Jak and Daxter title, it’s time for a quick background lesson. Picking up immediately after the last Jak and Daxter title, The Lost Frontier’s main focus is on the use of weapons and platforming elements you’d expect to find in any Jak and Daxter title. I recently got my hands on the latest demo build which features three levels to play through."
We learned three days ago that throughout E3, the PlayStation Store would be constantly updated. Sony has fulfilled that promise, adding the Uncharted 2 E3 trailer, Final Fantasy VII for the PS1, and tons of other things.
Naughty Dog know nothing but how to create Epic games, and it seems like the next Jak and Daxter game is no different, as the first trailer for the upcoming PS2 and PSP game will show. Watch the legendary duo come back for an amazing adventure.... and you don't have to go far to watch it either, just watch it below or at the source.
