"Microsoft closes out the month of April with three games added to Xbox Live Games on Demand. They include the family friendly Shrek the Third, Crytek first-person shooter Far Cry, and the third-person co-op shooter Kane & Lynch: Dead Men."
It was recently tweeted by screenwriter Kyle Ward that actor Jamie Foxx was cast for the role of Lynch in the upcoming film adaptation of Kane & Lynch. A script is in play, and we already have a Kane (Bruce Willis), so it looks like the film is finally going to take off with the role of Lynch given. It's certainly an interesting pick for the psychopathic sidekick, but perhaps Foxx and Willis can make this movie happen...and not face the dreaded 'video game movies suck' syndrome.
"After an initial update earlier today – promising good things for the future of the service – the full v3.2 revision is now available, adding further titles to the Games on Demand launch line-up. In addition to the likes of Resident Evil 5 and the bargain that is Viva Piñata, FallOut 3, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, Section 8 and ShadowRun are all now available also. FallOut 3 is priced at £34.99, while Section 8 is offered for £29.99."
""The script has been incredibly well-received around town," says producer Adrian Askarieh. "After Bruce Willis read it, he called it one of the best action scripts he's ever read, and Bruce is an expert in terms of action scripts because he's read everything over the last 20 years." Bruce Willis knows something good when he sees it!
According to Askarieh, the movie will have the "basic premise" of the game, but the details will be different. "It's not going to have every sequence from the ..."
It was just a rumour back in November, however it seems to have come true as Bruce Willis is currently negotiating to star in the Kane & Lynch: Dead Men movie, as none-other than Kane. With shooting to start later this year, expect to see the game released sometime in 2009.

"a. the poster was headlined "KANE & LYNCH DEAD MEN"; a quotation identified as being from Official Xbox 360 Mag stated "Grittier and nastier in tone than anything you've seen before, the violence here is visceral, brutal and very, very real." The poster showed two men and a woman. The woman was seated in the foreground; she was gagged and had a tear-stained face. Her head was being held back by one of the men who stood behind her pulling her hair; he wore surgical gloves and was speaking on ..."
For those unfamiliar with Jeff Gerstmann and why Gamespot's been taking a good bit of heat for a while from gamers, read up on the start of the controversy. After having been an editor for Gamespot for over eleven years and then being suddenly fired sparked a massive outrage within the Internet gaming community - the same community that Gamespot tries to reach out to - which led to protests.
Gamers weren't the only ones outraged, however. There were threats of mass resignations from the ...
"Speaking with a Gamespot employee yesterday who asked not to be named for this story, we've learned that, despite the neutral nature of the Gamespot news item on the matter, the editorial staff is said to be "devastated, gutted and demoralized" over the removal of former editorial director Jeff Gerstmann. While the termination of Gerstmann, a respected fixture at Gamespot, was pitched to his remaining colleagues by management as a "mutual decision", it was anything but, we're told.
The con..."
"Citing glowing feedback taken from the games official Web site, Kotaku highlights "fabricated" five-star quotes taken from respected review portals Game Informer and GameSpy. However, after a perusal of the reviews for Kane & Lynch, no such quotes are in evidence, and the official review scores offered up by Game Informer and GameSpy are not five stars but three-and-a-half stars (7/10) and three stars (6/10) while the accompanying quotes are anything but glowing."
It seems that fould play is afoot at Gamespot, with one of it's longtime reviewers Jeff Gerstmann apparently getting the boot for giving the PS3 and 360 game Kane & Lynch a mediocre score of 6/10.
Apparently Eidos weren't very happy with Jeff's review and wanted something to be done about it, especially since they have been heavily advertising the game on the Gamespot site.

The game will see the light of day in November. The same company who made the Hitman games is behind this by the way. Hopefully a demo will be released soon as well.
