Releasing a games multiplayer free on PSN is actually not a bad idea. At least for people like me who don't typically like to pay for shooters. Once you hit the games level cap you can pay for higher levels. This will give casual gamers who don't typically play shooters a chance to try their hand at it and see if they like it enough to continue on. So it may end up pretty beneficial for sony!
A retailer is currently offering a massive discount for the Playstation Move Mayhem Bundle, which normally has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $139.99.

"The Killzone series is a perfect rags to riches story when it comes to the videogame industry. With it’s first iteration being nothing more than a mediocre, run of the mill shooter that had about as much impact as a pissed on firework. Killzone 2 blew away expectations, becoming a visual benchmark for console games, and even surpassing the target render set by Guerrilla Games themselves, not to mention being a damn fine game by it’s own merits. Just two years later, Killzone 3 aims to raise t..."

The 'Steal It For 360' feature review OXCGN has done over the last few years always garners some interest. Not because it bags the game in question, but because it simply looks at what the 360 platform owners would have loved to have - or not as the case may be, arrive on their platform.
While we all know the games in question 99.9% of the time will never appear on the platform, it doesn't stop the owners of other platforms asking - 'what if'

"The title says it all, unless the name of your company is Capcom, Electronic Arts or one of the other major publishers. However if the name of your company is Sony, you’re not exactly hating pirates as much as it might appear on the surface. Piracy hurts two things. First it hurts the publishers who lose out on sales. These exact same game sales lose money for Sony in the form of royalties. So how is this beneficial to Sony in any possible sense when they’re losing royalty money from each gam..."

I have never been a big fan of motion controls as I feel they are rarely used to great effect, and Killzone 3 did little to convince me otherwise. It felt tacked-on to what otherwise seemed like a solid continuation of what was achieved by the first two KZ games. With my crosshairs flying all over the ..."
