"GamingUnion: "Kingdom Hearts Union is back and ready to kick 2012 off like true gamers! Sit down with the group, which this week brings Branden, Lauren, Churro, and Jackie to talk about all things KH. Welcome in the new host, Branden, as he makes his debut as the man in charge this show. This first episode of the year is practically swamped with KH news since the last show.""
"A disney RPG hardly sounds appealing to a gamer over the age of 12. Something about wielding a giant key as a weapon, while you fight alongside Donald Duck and Goofy just doesn't strike most as something that is going to be a rewarding experience. These people could not be any more wrong with these thoughts. So what is it that makes the Kingdom Hearts games great? Why I thought you'd never ask."
According to Square Enix, the Kingdom Hearts series has topped 14 million units shipped worldwide so far since it started with the original title on the Playstation 2 in 2002.

On this week's The Bender podcast, Intern Elissa joins James, Mike, and Richard discuss what is going on in the world of gaming and a little more. We have a 'tip of the week' (which will probably never happen again), talk a little eBay, attempt to find validity in the existence of the PSP and much more.

Gamers are given the option to register their games, which will than appear on their profile homepage."

"There were many great games that released in 2009 and there were also some pretty bad games. Much like a book, you can't judge a game by the cover. Some games have beautiful box arts, but the game itself is terrible, while others have great boxes and are great games. It's time to look at the best box arts that the video game industry had to offer in 2009. Some may surprise you, but others will likely not. Some of these games were great, while others were forgetful."
Amazon just put on sale The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games video games for Nintendo DS. "Kingdom Hearts purists were turned off by the fact that half of Kingdom Hearts 2 would be spent running around as a character completely unrelated to that of Sora, Kairi, and Riku — a plucky new hero named Roxas, along with the company he kept and his very own tale.
Because of this abrupt change in narrative, fans of the franchise were left with far more questions than necessary. Unlike GBA offering Chain of Memories, a title has been developed to specifically address these concerns: Kingd..."
Looks like our user frostyhudson's 411mania site has ceased their great release lists, so it's back to shacknews.
Shed a tear, then remember Risen, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, the Wizard of Oz RPG (really, it's gonna be good -- check for Neoseeker's review shortly), Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga, Gran Turismo PSP, Obscure, and lastly (phwew), the PSPGo are coming out (plus a few other highlights).
"Square Enix Ltd., the official publisher of Square Enix products in PAL territories, has revealed the final box art design for the forthcoming European release of Kingdom Hearts 385/2 Days. "The series continues with Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Follow Roxas, the “other” hero from Kingdom Hearts II, and discover more about his days as a member of the mysterious Organization XIII. What is the connection between Roxas and Sora? Who is the mysterious 14th member and what were the reasons for Roxas’ eventual departure from the organization? Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days adds one other exciting and essential component to the fun, being the first Kingdom Hearts game to offer a multi-player m..."

The latest Famitsu issue includes the top ten best-selling games in Japan during 2009 so far. The list is dominated by Nintendo DS games with four titles appearing on the top ten. The rest of it is filled evenly with PSP, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii games. No Xbox 360 game managed to make the top ten best-selling list in Japan for 2009.
Speaking with Weekly Famitsu is their issue this week, Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura talked about how the Kingdom Hearts series got its start and the series now, given the recent release of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for the Nintendo DS in Japan.
One of the more interesting things said?
quote NomuraActually, the first weapon I showed Disney was a chainsaw. It was this chainsaw-like weapon that I had a rough sketch of when I first showed my concepts to Disney. Everyone got this sc...
Everyone wants to play the bad guys. They're usually tougher, aren't bound by moral codes and just generally more badass. It is no short leap of logic then to assume that one of the main draws of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be to play as Organization XIII, all of them. This preview looks at the different characters and how they play, from Larxene's lightning speed to Xigbar's gun play they're all here.

"Nintendo began their Pre-E3 Press Conference at around 5:30pm GMT this evening, with a mission to not only prove that their strategy hasn’t ended with Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training, Wii Sports and Wii Fit, and that they could back-up those promises made to deliver games for the Hardcore Gamer as well as their financially beneficial new market, but also remain ahead of the competition, with Microsoft’s Project NATAL revealed yesterday with the clear goal of stealing a piece of the Wii pie, an..."

A new trailer of the DS title Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has been released by Nintendo's Japan Channel, showing 6 minutes of combined gameplay and cinematics for the title. It's in Japanese and isn't subtitled, but shows off a lot of content, including characters, events and gameplay for the game. Though to tell you the truth the whole small screen look isn't doing it any favors.
Here is some news that Kingdom Hearts fans might be glad to hear. It looks like Riku might be playable Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days's Mission Mode.
Discuss in the Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days forum
A new Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days mission trailer has been released in Japan, showing a bunch of new locations and enemies. The graphics seem a little jagged to me, even for a DS game, but perhaps its just the quality of the video. This video cycles through each of the four Organization XIII members in turn, giving a good indication of the gameplay for each, it also displays that apparently Roxas owned the lot in points at the end.
About a month ago, there was news that Kingdom Hearts, 358/2 days would come out in Febuary over in Japan, coming with a special edition DSi. Unfortunatley, it was revealed at Jump Festa yesterday, that the game is said to release in Spring 2009.
No word about the Special Edition DSi, chances are likely that it will be launched with the game in Spring 2009.
"Square-Enix has announced their 2009 line-up of titles. Some of these have not been nailed down for a North American or European release as of yet, but given their track record it is only a matter of time.
The Line-Up:

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (DS)

There are new screenshots for Square Enix's upcoming title Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for the Nintendo DS. These screenshots of Roxas's adventure are mostly cutscene screenshots, depicting various scenes throughout the game, notably in the Destiny Islands, the World That Never Was, and Halloween Town. There is also one in-battle screenshot, with the top screen showing the action while the bottom screen has an active map.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is due out in February in Japan.
While I think Square Enix are getting kind of greedy to be forcing people to buy a book to learn info about their titles I'm sure most fans won't matter. On Amazon Japan a second Cloud book is up, to be released on December 12th, already announced to be packed with screenshots, art and info on all the games and products mentioned below. Let's hope its actually something substantial this time, rather than the tiny fragments we usually get.
"Everyone remembers Final Fantasy X one of the most renowned and loved Final Fantasy title out there - at least on the PS2. The games that were released after that FFXI & FFXII were good, but many didn't consider FFXI to be even part of the series (I know I didn't), and FFX-2 & FFXII got mixed feelings (though I was one that loved and enjoyed both the games, albeit I didn't like the story of either too much, the gameplay was addictive enough for me). The one thing many people bring up and reme..."
Kingdom Hearts on the DS is due out in Japan by the end of the fiscal year, meaning sometime between January and March. In celebration, a new scan is here from Shonen Jump.
Yes the impossible has happened, someone has actually managed to sneak a video out of the Square Enix closed Mega Theater and live to tell the tale. The bootlegger caught footage of Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, The 3rd Birthday and even a bit of Dissidia on tape, so sit down and have a watch if you have even a passing interest in any of these titles. Download them if you want to keep them, Square Enix will likely go on a crusade to make sure the public continues...
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days will be added to Square Enix's huge DS portfolio when it's released in February 2009 in Japan. Much like its PSP cousin expectations are high.
With, you guessed it, another Closed Mega Theatre !
... Don't you just love Square Enix ?
Besides the infamous theatre Square Enix will also have demo booths for Dissidia Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days amongst others. Looking good !

Square Enix have released a truck-load of screenshots from all their newest games: Final Fantasy XIII. Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Parasite Eve 3: The 3rd Birthday, Final Fantasy: Dissidia, Final Fantasy XIII: Dissidia, the various new Kingdom Hearts games, and so on.
Most of them have already been seen in low-quality magazine scans, but some (namely the wedding shots from Parasite Eve) are 100% brand spankin' new.
It sure is strange seeing tomboy Aya in a wedding dress!

With the impressions of the PSP games on show, Dissidia & Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, out of the way, it's the DS' time to take the stage now. Once again, here's what IGN had to say.
Sigma Harmonics Hands-on.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
Gemaga has been liveblogging Square Enix's DKΣ3713 Private Party that is currently underway right now, with a bunch of megatons and other news to report (via GAF and other blogs):
Square Enix promised everyone Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 would be coming out sometime within the year and so far, it looks like they are backing up their promise. An ad for the game found inside a Dragon Quest V case states the game is "Coming 2008."
Here is the original source, which is in Japanese.
Square Enix decided to do something different for their party this year. DK Σ 3713 isn't just a random combination of letters, numbers and symbols. It's actually the initials of all the major games that will be attending The Square Enix Party 2008 ! And those games are :
PS3 :

- Final Fantasy Versus XIII
PSP :
- Dissidia Final Fantasy
- Kingdom Hearts : Birth by Sleep

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days will apparently be released in Summer of 2008 if the indications in Jump Festa are correct. Roxas seems to have the ability to travel through worlds. Familiar Disney and Square Enix faces will also be in store, as expected.
An interesting sight in the Jump Festa showing of Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days was that of Axel and Roxas being assisted by a mysterious new character. Unfortunately, the identity is still puzzling until now.
Meanwhile, Kingdom Hearts: Birth...
EGM have dedicated a page of this month's issue to the fairly large array of Final Fantasy games that have recently (and not-so-recently) been announced, yet haven't had much information divulged since then. The magazine tried their best to piece together what little info has been released.
It's a shame that one-and-a-half years have passed since Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII were announced, and yet fans still don't know much about the game's details, let alone the chara...

"Square Enix diffuses in the Japanese magazine Famitsu the first images of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on Nintendo DS. It's not Kingdom Hearts III, but details have been spilled on the whole new series mentioned awhile ago. It is planned to be on the portable systems; DS, PSP, and mobile phones. It is a side-story of Sora's tale, along with a focus on some other aspects such as how Mickey got his key, what happened while Mickey and Riku where in the World of Darkness, and the person that is Roxas. All are exciting places for a story, revealing things that were previously an enigma.
