According to Square Enix, the Kingdom Hearts series has topped 14 million units shipped worldwide so far since it started with the original title on the Playstation 2 in 2002.
In a recent interview with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura provided several new tidbits about which direction will the popular Kingdom Hearts series head off to next.

The boxart for the standalone release of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories has been revealed. And while the cover certainly doesn't define the game it certainly looks a treat.
Thats right, you just read that correctly. The second Kingdom Hearts game to have been released (and no, Kingdom Hearts II wasn't the second to have been released), will be coming to the PS2. The game originally released on the Gameboy Advanced will be heading to the US sometime this holiday, priced at $29.99.
The European release of this game at this point is questionable.
