"A disney RPG hardly sounds appealing to a gamer over the age of 12. Something about wielding a giant key as a weapon, while you fight alongside Donald Duck and Goofy just doesn't strike most as something that is going to be a rewarding experience. According to Square Enix, the Kingdom Hearts series has topped 14 million units shipped worldwide so far since it started with the original title on the Playstation 2 in 2002.

In a recent interview with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura provided several new tidbits about which direction will the popular Kingdom Hearts series head off to next.

Speaking with Weekly Famitsu is their issue this week, Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura talked about how the Kingdom Hearts series got its start and the series now, given the recent release of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days for the Nintendo DS in Japan.
