Gamefly is having an under $20 used game blowout. The big question is what games should gamers pick up now? Some of the better games include Duke Nukem Forever for $10, Brink for $10, Epic Mickey for $12.99, and Red Faction Armageddon for $12.99. La Noire for $19.99 and Shadows of the Damned for $17.99 are too good to pass up on. The biggest question is when will gamers have time to play all these games?
"After months of drama, accusations, leaked documents and media attention, Team Bondi is finally closing its doors. The game development company has filed papers with the Australian Securities and Investments Administration and will be closing for good. This is the end of a long drama that has been playing out since May when Team Bondi’s LA Noire was released. Check out the news below."
"What makes the PC version the “Complete Edition”? Well, it includes the full game as well as an access code for all downloadable content previously released for the console editions. The DLC includes the “Nicholson Electroplating” Arson case, “Reefer Madness” Vice case, “The Consul’s Car” Traffic case, “The Naked City” Vice case and “A Slip of the Tongue” Traffic case."
"After accusations of unfair payment practices, never-ending mandatory overtime and deliberately excluding swathes of developers from LA Noire's game credits, developer Team Bondi seems to be reaping what it sowed. Whether or not any of these problems actually caused the company's current dire financial situation may never be known, but this we do know: Team Bondi has gone into administration. If you enjoyed the team's previous work, you may be waiting a long time for another example of it."
Cole Phelps has another case to open. Missing missions. Co-Founder of Team Bondi Brendan McNamara announced that there were two desks that had to be cut because of the size of the Blu-ray disk
"In the wake of L.A. Noire’s last announced downloadable content, Reefer Madness, being released yesterday, Rockstar stated that it doesn’t believe that’s the end of it. Though Rockstar is keeping a lid on what it has got coming up, whatever it is will be sure to please fans of the game."
"So put on that oh so cool detective hat because it's time to smoke out some reefer heads. Players will take the reigns of Detective Cole Phelps once again, this time behind the desk of the vice squad as they try to unravel a drug ring that is starting to smell a little funny. Phelps and his partner Roy Earle find themselves hitting this case after getting in a shootout with a local drug dealer."

"Much has been written about the long development cycles on games such as Duke Nukem Forever, Too Human, or Prey, but the story behind L.A. Noire's rocky road to release stands out within Australia's small, tightly-knit development community. Team Bondi's crime drama is not just the biggest game development project ever undertaken in Australia, it also served as the first-ever project for many of the creative forces behind L.A. Noire. It's perhaps the combination of all these factors that has ..."
"With some very impressive early stats on display at Chart-Track, and a number of earlier reports detailing its successes in the market, L.A. Noire has hit a sales figure of 4 million units sold worldwide since its May 17th release, coming up second only to Lego Pirates of the Caribbean in terms of top UK sales. Note that the figure describes units shipped, and does not specifically mention how many of those units have actually been purchased by consumers from retailers."

It is now set to expire on the release date for the “Nicholson Electroplating” Arson case: June 21st."

"We will also have two new cases coming as DLC, one to be released on 21st of June and named as The “Nicholson Electroplating” Arson, and the other case being titled as “Reefer Madness” Vice with a release date set to July 12th."

"Did you pre-order L.A Noire from Amazon? Well if so, by now you should have your $15 promotional credit available to use, and what better way to spend it than by putting it towards the second biggest game to release this month, The Witcher 2? Sure this is only relevant to PC gamers, but those gamers will be interested to know that Amazon have already discounted the retail version of the game from $49.99 to $44.99 and even better, the digital version to just $39.99. Slap on your $15 credit and..."

One thing you have to say for the guys at Team Boindi, and Rockstar is that they spare no expense on their projects, with L.A. Noire having the highest number of actual actors, many of them well known in many movies that grace our screens, playing just simple NPC roles within the gameworld.
Most developers have actors play the part of major characters only, perhaps one or two even, not 20 or more.
This will be a monumental game to both view and play.

What is more frustrating then on the disc dlc? Multiple pre-order bonuses from different stores. "In the March 2010 issue of Game Informer (on stands this month), the first real details of L.A. Noire are revealed. Developed by Team Bondi (The Getaway), L.A. Noire is an open-world action-adventure game set in the City of Angels in 1947. Unlike previous Rockstar efforts, L.A. Noire exists in a real city, painstakingly recreated for historical accuracy. Don't expect the "shoot everyone" mentality of a Grand Theft Auto title -- this is something completely different."
