"The Christmas period continues to be a trying time for one or two independent developers - and now a new report this week claims that US independent Factor 5 has closed.

According to a source speaking with IGN's Matt Cassamassina, the studio has shut its doors.

It seems some game companies are really seeing the troubles of the economy. First Free Radical closes down and then Blackbox from EA and now rumors are spreading that Factor 5, the company behind Liar, the rogue squadron games has also been closed down. They where also working on a secret project for the Wii which is rumored to be a PilotWings sequel.
