"So, while the criticisms that the Japanese market struggles with fostering creativity (a complaint that can be equally levelled at the Western market, mind you, and has been levelled at the Hollywood for years now) are reasonably justified, it's ridiculous to claim the industry itself is going anywhere. With Nintendo dominating the hardware sales, and the likes of Capcom and Square Enix and Namco Bandai making wise investments in social and casual gaming, the businesses themselves are placed ..."
"So you have this little white (or maybe black) box sitting by your TV. You know it's supposed to be used for something, but you can't quite figure out what. It doesn't play movies, and it isn't high-def. However, as much vitriol as the Wii gets, it does have quite a few excellent gaming experiences, many of which are unique to that little console. So if your Wii is gathering dust, and playing Wii Sports with Grandma has gotten old, check out some of these great third-party Wii games and remem..."
"The 28th of December hails the fourth instalment of Electronic Theatre’s special The Twelve Games of Christmas series; every day for the twelve days of Christmas Electronic Theatre will be running through the best releases of each month of 2009. We’re here to remind you of the games you should be looking out for in the 2010 January sales so that you can find the gems that you’ve missed. Today, being the fourth day of Christmas, is the turn of April 2009."
"Be honest, when’s the last time you gave your stick a waggle? If you’re a hardcore gamer, it’s probably been a while, but the rest of us power up the Wii every other day and give that barely-functional stick a shake or two. Why? Because it’s damn fun, that’s why. Here are the games that have had us swinging it the most this year."
"With the usual deluge of video game releases in the third and fourth quarter, combined with the continuing sagging economy, gamers may have an even harder time this holiday season coming up with the cash for all the games they want. In case you're hoping Santa (or, as the case may be, Hanukkah Harry) will bring you a sleighful of goodies this year, here's a little help making up those lists of yours.
First up is the Wii, which dominated the market for so long, yet saw sales fall this year,..."
NeoGAF poster GhaleonQ posted an interesting piece the other day on Love-de-Lic's PS1 title Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, a thought-provoking title that unfortunately got swept to the realm of obscurity by many higher-profile titles.
However, Moon: Remix RPG Adventure's relatively-unheard message needs to be relayed once more, and you need to read and learn the messages that Moon tries to teach, as a reminder for today's generation of gamers.
What is that lesson? Head on over to the sourc...

"Katamari Damacy Tribute (PS3 Import) - The demo was just release today in the Japanese PlayStation Store so I had a chance to mess around with it for a little while. I'm actually impressed with the switch to cel-shaded graphics thanks to the Valkyria Chronicles-like filter that Namco employed. I heard that you can switch between different graphical filters, and from the looks of the video down below, it's probably true. Other than the graphical changes, the game plays as expected. If you didn..."

With the way things are with the world's economy even the video game industry isn't exempt from feeling the pinch. Marvelous Entertainment is definitely one of those companies who are feeling the heat right now. A staff blog post (presumably by the Managing Director Yasuhiro Wada) states how they feel about their software sales on the Wii. He states how poorly some of their main titles have been selling on the Wii and says that, "I truly have teary eyes. I feel like crying."
However, there...
