"While Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has confirmed that the LittleBigPlanet Game of the Year edition will see a release in Europe, all has been very quiet since the title arrived in North American stores in September last year. Now however, it appears that the announcement of a release date may be just around the corner, as SCEE has revealed the official European box art design for the forthcoming PlayStation 3 exclusive."
"Whisk yourself away into the streets of Renaissance Italy, meet up with Leonardo da Vinci or perform some rooftop heroics without ever leaving the comfort of LittleBigPlanet. Fresh from the 15th century streets of Florence and canals of Venice comes the hero from Assassin’s Creed II, Ezio Auditore de Firenze who will be offering his costume up for Sackboy’s exclusive use!"
LittleBigPlanet just saw its first anniversary, a portable launch, and a re-launched community site. With that, Media Molecule have released a series of concept arts into the wild, detailing the game at its earlier and later stages.
See some of the highlights here and more at the source.
"Sega and Sony are working together to bring Sonic into the PlayStation 3 version of LittleBigPlanet. In the middle of December, five Sonic the Hedgehog costumes based on Sonic Unleashed will be released as downloadable content. You can get Sonic, Sonic the Werehog, Tails, Dr. Eggman, and Knuckles alone or in a pack.
Nice to see more LittleBigPlanet collaborations, but whatever happened to those the Final Fantasy VII costumes Sony mentioned last year?"
It looks like some ICO goodies will be making an appearance in hit platformer LittleBigPlanet sometime soon, a teaser having just been released showing Yorda and Ico in Sackboy form. It could be fake, the image isn't exactly high quality, but it would certainly bring new publicity to both games.
"Today GamePaused releases the latest in must have video game fashion the ‘Sack Boy Cosplay T-Shirt’ the first in the new cosplay range from gamepaused.net.
Show your love for the adorable stitched hero as you don a giant zip, and show the world that you’re a gamer - or just a bundle of fun, all zipped up!

Have you ever wondered what Sackboy is made of? Probably not. He's most likely made of material and filled with fluff.
Well not according to NY artist and toy designer Jason Freeney. His interpretation of Sackboy's anatomy shows that Sackboy could be made of more squishy things...
"In years past, NeoGAF has done their favorite moments in gaming, using only MS Paint to show you. Looking back at 2008 brings us some of the coolest moments, great memories that can look amusing to just plain epic, even when in Paint. I purposely left out the names of the games as half the fun is guessing (but if you cant figure it out, right click and hit properties to see the file name where I put the game)."
Not impressed by the LittleBigPlanet DLC so far ? Well this is sure to turn some heads. Like LittleBigPlanet? Like Street Fighter IV? What's not to like?!

"Not sure if you caught it this past weekend, but our own little SackBoy was zipping (pun intended) around the track as part of the NASCAR Nationwide Series, thanks to our friends at GameStop. After laps and laps around Memphis Motorsports Park, the #20 LittleBigPlanet car, with Joey Logano at the wheel, finished 5th - putting him back in 1st place in the Nationwide Series owner standings. SackBoy declined the post-race interview in order to greet his two biggest fans, "Walker" and "Texas Ra..."
LittleBigPlanet comes out in the US in exactly one week, but not everyone seems to want to play by the same rules. Not only is the game being reported to have been leaked through reviewers and stuffed up pre-orders but in the country of Kuwait the game is being sold openly by a store called Rehab Center. Or so a user on the PS3FORUMS claims.
A insider has managed to get some snaps of the boxart for upcoming PS3 game LittleBigPlanet. Now for a long time any gamer interested in the title must know that the game will require a mandatory install to run, and this boxart when enhanced reveals just how much of your hardrive you'll need to clear out to accommodate the game. And guess what? It's a measly 600MB, as opposed to the usual 4-6GB. Makes you wonder what all those other developers are doing huh? There are also some images of trop...
Yet more bonuses are up for grabs if you pre-order the upcoming PS3 hit LittleBigPlanet at GameStop. As well as the already seen Kratos Sackboy skin two other skins, the 'Minotaur' and 'Medusa' skins as well as a new map pack are avaliable. View the ad below or at the source.
"Retailers are betting on LittleBigPlanet this holiday season. They're looking at it as a real system-seller, and Sony is more than glad to educate them on what makes the upcoming "Only On PlayStation" title so appealing. This set of postcards is currently being distributed to Best Buy stores, where they will educate employers and shoppers about the wonders of Media Molecule's game. If for some crazy reason, you've managed to miss out on the LittleBig Hype, check out our scans -- everything yo..."
The last game to have adverts of this size was Grand Theft Auto IV, but LittleBigPlanet seems to be challenging the throne with this new mural put up especially for the Leipzig conference that is scheduled to take place in just a few days time.

It seems Sony are beginning to ramp up the hype for their highly anticipated title, LittleBigPlanet, with an event focusing, for the most part, on the game.

"Were all totally in love with our little Sackboy character, weve spent a couple years watching him run, jump and slap his way though dozens of levels, and the little chap has so much personality we could almost believe hes real.
So our collective jaws hit the floor when we saw what one of our artists MOTHERS had made, Silvias actually made Sackboy, for real, in all his knitted and stitched glory! Its so good we wondered if wed hired the right member of the family to work here! (Not r..."
