Some say the PSP is failure compared to the DS. Would a failure have sold over 71 million consoles worldwide? Would a failure have some of the best handheld RPGS a gamer could get? The PSP is still one of the better portable media and region free gaming devices on the market and best of all, its so affordable.
"The Nintendo DS may have sales numbers, but Sony’s PSP has the third-party support. Not hindered by things like technical inferiority, developers are free to create console-scale games and take chances with new concepts without having to worry about console-scale costs. Below are 10 of the best PlayStation Portable games ever made, though it’s by no means every amazing game available—we just didn’t have room for a Top 20."
"With all the talk last year about LittleBigPlanet's Sackboy being the PlayStation 3's 'mascot,' nobody really thought about the PS3's poor younger sibling -- the PSP. It's been around much longer than the PS3 but has had an even harder time finding a standout character, unique to the system, that provides a sort of summation of the device's strengths and appeal. Well it looks like Sony might finally be prepping the darling LocoRocos to become the Pokemon of their handheld.

The iPhone has been a very successful device and because of that, a variety of games have been made for it and they're not stopping anytime soon. Bob Borchers, the Apple senior director of marketing for the phone, showed some of the newer games coming out, which include EA's Need for Speed Undercover.
What do gamers do when people in America are going to the booths to vote? They hold their own elections, for video game characters of course!
Take your pick from the likes of Sackboy, Tom Nook... and even 12-Pack! Even gamers like a good old beer now and then, right? Each candidate has a badge, their promises and their slogan.
So who gets your vote?
Good news for PSP owners! Here are two (slightly short) debut gameplay trailers for Patapon 2 and LocoRoco 2 ...
Patapon 2. The dirty eyeballs are back!
LocoRoco 2. You better be ready for the blobs.

"It's time to roll out! New reports have come in for the sequel to that that quirky-cute game, LocoRoco. Although this info hasn't been confirmed by Sony yet, it's still something we can chew on while we wait for official details.
According to PlayFrance, LocoRoco 2 is due to be out in France (most likely for the rest of Europe as well) on June 6. Whether it's June 6 of this year or next, we're not entirely sure as the translation is a bit ambiguous.
They do add that the sequel will have..."
Some of you probably got excited when you heard Loco Roco was coming to the PS3. You were probably expecting something very similar to the PSP game. Controlling your Loco's with the SIXAXIS or the shoulder buttons. But word from SCEA say's this will just a 'interactive screen saver'. You control the butterflies that the creators eat and you watch them chase it. No more then that.
LocoRoco made its debut on the PSP and was a big hit. Sony then decided to bring it over to the PS3 as a downloadable arcade title. The game will be different then the PSP version, and there will be more loco roco's to control such as butterflies with hundreds of them on screen. Today IGN got a official release date as to when it will hit store shelves. It will come out on September 21 2007.
"Last December, Sony's Phil Harrison said they'd "bring LocoRoco back in a couple of new ways with some new friends in the future." Then, at the PlayStation Premier event in Tokyo this month, they showed off Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by LocoRoco, a sequel that is "LocoRoco, but it's not ... a peculiar extra chapter." So that takes care of PS3, and we have our suspicions about a mobile version, but what about the most obvious platform of all, the PSP? We had a chance to speak with Loco Roco's directo..."
LocoRoco, one of the many great original titles for the PSP, is almost on its way to the PS3. The game will take advantage of the SIXAXIS controller, and, from the looks of it, it is even crazier than before!
"Ever since we got our first glimpse at Home this past Spring, the internet went a buzz with speculation if LocoRoco was heading to the PS3 due to one of the trophies displayed in the demo avatars trophy room being from LocoRoco.
It seems that these rumors have been confirmed today by Sony during their Playstation Premier event which is currently underway in Tokyo. Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by LocoRoco will be a Playstation Network download which will take full advantage of the Sixaxis tilt co..."
