Lost Planet 2 was a good game but could have used a lot of improvements. If done right this game can bring the fans of this series an improved and exciting game. Hopefully the early release date doesn't mean a short and unpolished game. But it could have been being worked on for a long time by now seeing as it has only just been announced. I guess we will just have to wait and see!

The sequel to Lost Planet 2 has finally been announced, but it's under the development watch of Spark Studios, who last worked on the lackluster Legendary and Turning Point.

"Target, Toys R Us and Best Buy are all offering deals this week meant to get shoppers to make multiple purchases. Meanwhile, K-Mart is offering a hot deal on Mafia II releasing this week and a similar deal on Red Dead Redemption."

"Capcom has just announced that Lost Planet 2 will be releasing on the PC October 15th. The PC version will feature NIVIDIA 3d Vision, water surfaces that react realistically, smoke has volume and depth, along with levels and characters that are rendered with more detail then console counter parts."

Capcom has revealed the first quarter sales results for there three high-profile releases of the past three months: Lost Planet 2, Super Street Fighter IV and Monster Hunter Tri.

Electronic Arts is making used game buyers purchase access tickets to go online with their games. Capcom has a simpler solution to curb used game revenue loss -- keep games from being sold back to shops in the first place... at least for a few months."

"Red Dead Redemption wannabe owners should keep an eye out on their local Toys R Us this Tuesday as they will have a $25 Gift Card available with purchase of the game. However, the deal is time limited and you have to be a Rewards R Us member. K-Mart and Amazon also are offering Gift Cards for this game."

Fan of Lost Planet and Killzone, or Gears? Well than this should catch your interest, some sweet DLC is coming to Lost Planet 2 in the form of Helghast and Marcus. Get some new skins for the online mode with these to add on packs. So if Ps3 owners get helghast, and 360 owners get Gears, quite a good way to treat each console. Capcom revealed their sales projections for some of their most anticipated games: Dead Rising 2, Monster Hunter Freedom 3, Lost Planet 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

It's been kind of weird to see a lack of releases on the Wii and DS the last couple of weeks. Really not much there. Of course, it has also been odd to see the number of new releases on the PS3 and 360 during a time of year that typically doesn't get much in the way of games period. Spring is the new Christmas!

"The combined celebrity and community tournament is the final chapter in Capcom’s month long “Kill Big for Charity” campaign where community members were called into action to support a good cause."

"The Playstation Store gets an impressive update today with a plethora of quality games and DLC for the PS3 and PSP. Not only does the update include great new stuff to play but also MLB.tv which was announced earlier today."

"Capcom is inviting everyone to "Kill Big for Charity" with the release of the Lost Planet 2 multiplayer demo to everyone on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live today. The demo was previously only available to those that were able to snag a download code from Capcom. However, today the demo is available to all on the Xbox 360 and will be available to PS3 owners via the Playstation Network on Thursday."

"The maps are "Helix", an underwater research facility which utilises the game's new swimming features, and "Back to the Island", which is a tweaked version of Island 902 from the original game."

Lost Planet 2 will be releasing this May and a demo is planned for Xbox and PS3 in late April. Early access codes are being released for March 31st on Xbox, April 1st on Playstation 3.

"With Super Street Fighter IV confirmed for release on Friday, April 30th 2010, and Lost Planet 2 just a few weeks later on May 18th, Capcom Europe has decided it is time to reveal some of the great pre-order incentives that will be available to European and Australian gamers plus some other great Lost Planet 2 news."

"Microsoft's very own Major Nelson just tweeted a couple hints at what games we can expect to see on the show floor of it's press-only event tomorrow night, known as X10 - the list has a couple surprises in it and is not all-inclusive. His tweets, along with our guesses of what each game in the list stand for is below; did we crack the correct code? We have been told that there are other titles, not on this hint-list, that will be announced at tomorrow's event."

"Kotobukiya has announced the release of Lost Planet 2 PVC Action Figures from Capcom’s upcoming videogame Lost Planet 2 which is scheduled to be released on May 20th 2010 in Japan and May 18th 2010 in North America and Europe. Lost Planet 2 is the successor to Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, the landmark Third-Person Shooter that debuted on Xbox 360, went on to sell over 2.3 million units worldwide after its release."

Capcom has solidified their Spring release schedule by handing out release dates to Lost Planet 2 (PS3, Xbox 360), Super Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360), Final Fight: Double Impact (PS3, Xbox 360) and Monster Hunter Tri (Wii).

Apparently Capcom's Q1 2010 release schedule was too crowded and in order to avoid having the games compete with each other (and other games) they've decided space to out the releases throughout the fiscal year. As a result of this, Super Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, and the North American release of Monster Hunter Tri have all been delayed. No concrete dates have been given but you can expect these titles to be released any time between April 2010 and March 2011.

At Capcom's Lost Planet 2 panel during Comic-Con, producer, Jun Takeuchi, slipped some information regarding the game. He revealed that they are placing some emphasis on flying in Lost Planet 2 as there will be flying vehicles available in addition to the other mechs. So you can expect to take to the skies with 3 of your friends to fight the Akrid.

After many conflicting reports Capcom in the form of PR director Chris Kramer has put to rest the rumors of just what is happening with Lost Planet 2. To be short the game will come out at the same time on both platforms, both PS3 and 360. Though a solid release date is still unable to be pinpointed.
