Gamesta.com gets word from GOG.com that they've added the indie hit Machinarium to their recent revamped site. The point and click adventure has a unique presentation and equally appealing puzzles. It's available in a Collector's Edition for $9.99.
"Last week, Electronic Theatre delivered a number of articles discussing, Lace Mamba Global’s past successes, forthcoming plans and future interests. Along with the Odyssia label and a big push towards console Adventure gaming, the publisher is certainly set to become a key player for Adventure gamers in 2010, but it’s not all coming down the line – Lace Mamba Global has already begun it’s 2010 on good form, and the coming months hold a number of interesting propositions."
"Pursuing the digital market beyond their own name, Lace Mamba Global are taking the Odyssia brand to new heights, and aren’t shy about speaking for it’s recognition in the Adventure games market. Set to launch in March aided by a more than respectable marketing budget, Codd stated; “It will be at the forefront of everyone’s mind – I’ll guarantee that, by the end of September it will be everywhere.”"
"Lace Mamba Global has today released the first exploded pack images for award-winning Machinarium: Collector's Edition. Machinarium is a Point-N’-Click adventure in which gamers take on the role of a robot who has been exiled to the scrap heap. Players must use logic, collect important items, and solve environmental puzzles to get the robot back into the grand city of Machinarium so he can rescue his girlfriend, save the head of the city, and defeat the bad robots from the Black Cap Brotherhood."
"I can honestly say that without the step by step walkthrough, I would not have finished this game. I probably wouldn’t have gotten past the third or fourth screen either. To me, point and clicks are supposed to be intuitive. You’re meant to be able to get an idea of what you’re meant to do next from either dialogue (none in this game), the plot progression (no hints there) or it’s the logical thing to do."
"The recently announced retail release of Machinarium is likely to do little to harm the publisher’s reputation, and highly anticipated titles such as Memento Mori and Black Mirror 2 aren’t exactly looking to disappoint the fans at present. The full line-up announced so far is as follows..."
"Mamba Games continue to add to their catalogue for next year by signing Machinarium, the intriguingly beautiful cult hit designed by Amanita Design. Set to be released on PC at retail across the UK and Europe on 5th March 2010, Machinarium is an inventive point-n’-click adventure commanding logic and attention to detail from the player."
