The first 9 months fiscal report from Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) has been posted in English, on Kotaku. Nippon Ichi Software for those not in the know, is a company known for releasing strategy RPGs, such as the cult hit Disgaea series, as well as other cult titles.
The first 9 months fiscal report from Nippon Ichi Software has been posted, and it really doesn't look good doods.
'Hit the jump', as they say, for the info. For the fans of the company, I suggest you do what they say befo...
""We're releasing Sakura Wars V first because we figured it's the last version that came out and it's obviously the most polished, at least battle system-wise. And it's something that's easier for Sony [to] accept and release a game like [Sakura Wars V], because previously Sony didn't like games that had dating sim aspects. They thought it might not be a suitable game for the PlayStation brand but they're actually happy about Sakura Wars now ever since they saw the actual game. So, if this one..."
Nippon Ichi recently released a bunch of new screenshots for their upcoming SRPG port to the PSP, Makai Senki Disgaea 2 Portable, courtesy of Dengeki Online.

Nippon Ichi is known for their ridiculously deep strategy-RPG games, one of which is the Disgaea series. Having been hugely successful with the original Disgaea and then Disgaea 2: Hour of Darkness, Nippon Ichi is now making Disgaea 3 exclusively for PS3. The question is, will it be enough for the Disgaea series die-hard fans to go out of their ways and buy a PS3 console just for the game?

RPGamer interviews NIS America's Nao Zook over their current and future game localization projects. Interestingly, Nao did not discount the possibility of seeing NIS' flagship Disgaea series for the DS, in fact he is encouraging DS owners to expect something special in the works. Meanwhile for PS2 fans, there's some implication that the sequel to Ar tonelico, still in development for Japan, could very well see North American release in the future.
