"I usually consult with the staff when deciding which characters to include. Everyone is attached to one character or another, so it can be difficult to reach a conclusion, but the director takes everyone's preferences into consideration and makes the final decision. In previous Mario Kart games, the large characters have been wild types, like Bowser and Donkey Kong, so this time we decided to add some large characters that look nicer, like Queen Bee and Wiggler."

"They debuted their work of art at the Japanese Culture Festival in Bilbao, Spain, and needless to say, many gamers now wish they had this in their house. Seriously, what better way is there to drive these RC karts around than in a track that mimics the games! Sure makes that one I drew on the kitchen table look like crap. While the RC karts aren't designed to handle like the ones in the games (no powerslides here), it's still a fun idea, and a neat way to perk up a videogame themed room in..."

It was revealed a while ago that people were expecting some sort of tilt control in regards to Mario Kart 3DS. Well Miyamoto have analysed that this seems like an unlikelihood due to the 3DS only being 3D from certain angles. Tilting the screen could end up showing a blurred image rather than a 3D one.
