Well imagine this, something good coming from a video game. Who would'a thought. A kid from Britain was diagnosed with a "lazy eye syndrome", which had to potential to cause blindness if left untreated. To remedy this, the child's doctor prescribed that the kid plays Mario Kart on his DS for two hours every day, while wearing a patch across his strong eye, so that his "lazy eye" could become stronger.
Amazon.com recently made additional discounts on several best-selling Nintendo DS games, either matching or beating the best prices ever available for these titles. Discounted games include Pokemon HeartGold ($30), Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box ($25), The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks ($20), Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story ($25), Bejeweled Twist ($13) and Mario Kart DS: ($27)
Amazon recently discounted Mario Kart DS for Nintendo DS to $27.99. That's $12 off retail and with free shipping the best total price for this Nintendo DS game by $2.
Australian software sales for the week of September the 21st for all consoles, the Wii and the Nintendo DS.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed heavily dominated the all consoles top ten, also managing a respectable second on the top ten Wii games from being beaten by Wii Fit which also managed third being the best all console seller other than Star Wars. Wall-E managed top spot for the DS chart closely followed by Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What To Eat.

Japan's caught Pokemon fever once again with the release of the newest Pokemon Ranger game, as shown by the Simple 2000 Software chart, which includes sales from March 17 to 23. Also on this list are some new releases and older favorites, such as Wii Sports, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games.

As mentioned previously, this year Korea has gotten into a Nintendo craze, with everything from Nintendo-themed schooling (see link above), accessories and clothing becoming a daily addition to many Korean lives. And now they have a brand new half-hour TV show to add to the list: Run & Run Mario Kart DS!
