Mario has been in over 250 games. Goozernation attempts to near down the top 10 Mario games of all time to the top 5. What makes the cut into the top 5? Will Mario Galaxy be mentioned? What about Super Mario RPG? Where does Paper Mario fall?

Heads up, racers!Nintendo has just announced a new Black Wii bundle, that you can enjoy with friends and family. It can be a present Christmas gift, just put on your helmet and you would be fine.

Just picked up a Wii? Well there are plenty of must haves for the Wii for first time Wii owners. Thankfully not all of them are first party Nintendo games. Games like Goldeneye, Metroid Prime 3, Donkey Kong Country Returns, the Resident Evil games, and of course the Mario games make the list. Best of all many of these games can be found on the cheap.

"Gaming has changed. There's nothing profound there, it's just an observation: technology has evolved, values have changed, and the industry has gone in a completely different direction. The small industry has grown significantly with the significantly growing market."

"You won't find Link's Master Sword or Mario's fireballs here, folks. Instead, we've chosen to focus on those weapons that make players most eager to pull the trigger again and again."

It has become common knowledge at this point that Nintendo's online infrastructure for the Wii is fairly primitive. Few games support voice chat, Friend Codes are required for games to run on Nintendo's servers, and in the case of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, sometimes the games with the most online potential don't even work. Despite the obvious shortcomings of the Wii's online, there have been some online enabled games that excel even with Nintendo's handcuffs.

"Little did hundreds upon hundreds of driving instructors all over the world know, the final years of the twentieth century had ushered in a new breed of young, would-be drivers. They were covetous of speed, their road rage reached startling levels, and they were always on the lookout for items to be acquired while never releasing the gas pedal."

Gran Turismo 5 has finally arrived for PS3 owners, but some racing purists are still convinced that it doesn't belong in the upper tiers of racing games. Here's an interesting list of five racing games that some would argue are actually better.

"They debuted their work of art at the Japanese Culture Festival in Bilbao, Spain, and needless to say, many gamers now wish they had this in their house. Seriously, what better way is there to drive these RC karts around than in a track that mimics the games! Sure makes that one I drew on the kitchen table look like crap. While the RC karts aren't designed to handle like the ones in the games (no powerslides here), it's still a fun idea, and a neat way to perk up a videogame themed room in..."

Mario Kart has been around for a long time. How well have the most recent installments in the long-running kart racing series held up? To what audience do they cater? And can we expect a reboot of the series soon?

"Everyone loves finding something in a game before anyone else, particularly if it’s a delicious secret and they’ve beaten everyone to the punch – that’s the cool thing about stumbling on an Easter Egg way before any other gamer has and why the internet is full of spoilers showing them all off. Just check Google or Youtube and you’ll be virtually bombarded with the exploits of people who found something before anyone else – on top of it, they won’t ever let you forget it. Ever. But, what if th..."

"Absolutely magnificent is the simplest phrase I can use to relate my feelings about Blur so far. Offering players what many who grew up playing Mario Kart will have caught themselves wishing for on more than one occasion and while Mario Kart has been around for a little over a decade, that doesn’t make it a bad game. It merely has failed to adequately adapt to the times or the audience that grew up playing the original. Where successive iterations of Mario Kart only gave players one or two ne..."

"Mario's racing days are in the past! Almost dead at this point. Due to the longevity and lack of creativity in the series, the game is getting outdated. Their is a cure for those who want a great vehicular combat racing game. Here are some racing games that can put Mario Kart on the ropes."

"My gut tells me that playing Mario, the adventures of a fat plumber in a Mushroom Kingdom of warbling enemies and happy conflict, is juvenile.

My mind tells me I'm a more ideal Mario player than any 8-year-old kid.

Grown men play Super Mario games, so I feel that it is time for me, a grown man, to figure out why and whether this is a habit I ought to quit."

Limit Break have posted up a family line chronicling Mario's nearly 30 years of appearances, starting as Jumpman in Donkey Kong Arcade back in 1981. The "tree" depicts how the Mario franchise has branched out over the years and where some of the concepts for the popular spin-offs stem from. For example, the Mario Kart series can be traced back to the Famicom Grand Prix F-1 Race game which was released in 1987, ages before Super Mario Kart was introduced. I seriously had no idea about some of ...

"Videogame history is littered with rage and frustration. While we all love and cherish this noble hobby we call gaming, it has still been the source of thrown controllers, broken furniture and endless streams of curse words. While much anger has been had at bad level design, cheap deaths and wasted money, plenty of rage has been reserved for the characters themselves.

Game characters can be incredibly annoying. This is the result of an industry where game developers try to be writers, and ..."

"The newest Mario Kart Wii tournament went live a few days ago, but unfortunately, some participants took it upon themselves to hack their way to the top. Two racers have submitted ludicrous times - 0.004 and 0.609 seconds. Immediately upon looking at these results, one would quickly surmise that the results would not have been able to have been achieved through ethical means. Also, one of the hackers has gone so far as to dawn the name “ihack@you.” This is not the first time the Mario Kart Wi..."

"Next time you're on a multiplayer server, you might want to ask everyone who's a Canadian, and then ask who among them are dudes. Because according to a Microsoft survey, every fifth one of them (in the long run) has gamed in the nude, and might be doing so now.

Microsoft commissioned a pretty serious poll up in the Great White North, asking Canadians all sorts of questions that sound like a Cosmo bedside astrologer survey, if "game" is used as a euphemism for "sex." Do you game at work? (..."

Would the wireless technology hinder the gameplay? It's been out for a few months now and If you havent yet bought the game or have just bought a Wii and are interested in purchasing the game - check out...

Most would agree that the Xbox360 has the best online system on the market today with their Xbox Live service. However, with the continuing improvement of rival online systems on both PC's and the Playstation 3, is the annual fee of Xbox Live Gold Membership truly worth it, and what does it offer that the PSN and Steam don't? Read on to find out.

"Nothing's perfect. Stare closely enough at anything - even a masterpiece - and you're bound to find flaws sooner or later. They might be small. They might be insignificant. They might not detract from the overall quality of the piece at all...

Except when they really, really do. With these seven games, in fact, you don't need to stare. Their flaws are so huge, so obvious, so frustrating and so effing obnoxious that you can't help but notice them, despise them and wonder how the damn things..."

The May 2008 NPD numbers have been recently released, and by the looks of it, the numbers overall were below people's expectations, with hardware and software numbers decreasing since last month. Seven new titles have found their way into the top 10 of the software charts for the Japanese. Powerful Pro Baseball Portable 3, which is made by Konami, took the number 1 spot and the number 2 spot is now occupied by Endless Frontier: Super Robot Wars OG Saga for the DS, which is a new game made by Namco Bandai.

The chart is based off of Media Create.

"Taking a cue from Mario Kart DS’s Mission mode, the new Galaxy Arena tasks the player to bash around several of the Spiky Topmen who were last seen knocking Mario into space in Super Mario Galaxy. The aim of this mission being, to knock four of the baddies off the side of the stage in as short a time as possible.

Admittedly the downside of this news is that this mode and arena are only available when competing in the online Tournament mode and not in offline multiplayer, but it’s still nic..."

Mario Kart Wii has finally been overtaken from the number 1 spot on Media Create's software list. The new number 1 game is Pro Yakyuu Team o Tsukurou!, which is made by Sega. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is still 2nd, but it is the only PSP title in the top 10, every other game is a Nintendo title on the software chart. On the hardware side, the PSP still has a nice lead. The PSP was able to outsell the Wii by over 15,000 units!

"May 23, 2008 - Following a few weeks in second place behind Nintendo's latest Wii million seller, Mario Kart, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G rubber banded this week back into first place. The popular Playstation Portable game, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has got Japan to ship over 2 million units. This is the first time that any game in the Monster Hunter franchise has gone this far in Japan and it's the second hottest game, following Mario Kart Wii. Now here's hoping for an English version!

"This Thursday, April 24, if you head out to the Sheraton Hotel on 811 7th Ave., between 52nd and 53rd streets, you'll be able to meet Mario, or a reasonable facsimile of same. He'll be able to hail you a cab, which he will then pay for in advance (!), from 8-10 AM and 12-2 PM.

Any New York City Game|Lifers want to head down and snap some pics? Bonus points if you get a ride to the Nintendo World Store."

"Nintendo has confirmed what we knew was in the pipeline after discovering a membership card in our review copy of Mario Kart Wii - Club Nintendo is coming to Australia.

Essentially, Club Nintendo will reward you for buying Nintendo games. Games that are part of the system will come with a unique PIN that can be entered into the Club Nintendo site. You'll then be given Star points, which can be used to purchase "goodies" from a catalogue available on the Club Nintendo site.

It could be these shortcuts which explain the exceptionally low time-trail mode scores, or it could be actual cheaters, however whatever it is, this video shows you the secrets in the various levels of the game, which can help any gamer achieve first place more easily. Visit the source and view the video and be surprised by the numerous shortcuts that have been added.

You may have heard recently about the cheaters on the time trials of Mario Kart Wii, well now Nintendo has gotten serious and blocked the way of cheating as well as deleting all the cheated time trial times.

Seems we can count on Nintendo for saving this game many times to come when more glitches are exploited.

Nintendo always seems to have the worst luck when it comes to the online modes in their games.
Mario Kart Wii was only released today, and already people have taken over the online mode to cheat their way to winning.
The Time Trials have been the worst hit, with most of the times recorded being impossible to legitimately reach.

Iwata goes to three guys that are on the development staff of Mario Kart Wii to ask a few questions.

The staff tells us that Mario didn't start off as Mario in the Mario Kart series, but rather as a man in overalls. The game didn't even start off as a racing game but more off as a free roaming game.

The staff also talks about how they didn't want a rehap of what happened in the DS version where little by little the track became deserted. That's why in the Wii version they plan on changi...

• Classic Controller: Mario Kart veterans can let their thumbs do the driving with the Classic Controller. However, players cannot perform certain moves with this control scheme.

As we approach the apparent release date of mid-late April for this anticipated game, Mario Kart Wii, Nintendo can't help but tease us with screenshots, details, and now the box art. So we now know what it looks like, now the next question that comes to mind is: What's it going to cost us? With the Wii-Wheel it's bound to be more than the average $50, but perhaps buying it packaged with the game will be cheaper.

Anyways, can't have a Mario game without the mascot to show off in the cover n...
