Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

"1. I come from a long line of plumbers, all the way back to my great grandmother Mariette.

2. People seem to really love my adventures; I’ve been featured in over 200 of them, and they’ve sold over 210 million copies.

3. Everyone thinks Luigi is jealous of all my fame and glory, but they don’t know the real reason why Luigi doesn’t have so many adventures: laziness.

4. Speaking of Luigi, you might be wondering why we he and I always wear the same clothes. Our mother hated doing the l..."

"My gut tells me that playing Mario, the adventures of a fat plumber in a Mushroom Kingdom of warbling enemies and happy conflict, is juvenile.

My mind tells me I'm a more ideal Mario player than any 8-year-old kid.

Grown men play Super Mario games, so I feel that it is time for me, a grown man, to figure out why and whether this is a habit I ought to quit."

The Nintendo DS had another big year in 2009 with a strong lineup of exclusive games. So which of the DS-only titles tat was released last year are worth playing?

""2009 saw Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's record breaking launch, the return of Nathan Drake in Uncharted 2, new, groundbreaking experiences and traditional classics for the whole family. 2009 was a huge year for any type of gamer, no matter how you slice it.

Amazon just put on sale The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games video games for Nintendo DS. All 4 games are at $25 which is $10-$15 off regular price. This is the best price for these hot games I have every seen. Deal would not last long.

"With the usual deluge of video game releases in the third and fourth quarter, combined with the continuing sagging economy, gamers may have an even harder time this holiday season coming up with the cash for all the games they want. In case you're hoping Santa (or, as the case may be, Hanukkah Harry) will bring you a sleighful of goodies this year, here's a little help making up those lists of yours."

"One will play Bowser’s part until the Brothers need to do something, then play the Brothers until Bowser needs to do something. There are a few points in the game where the player may choose the order in which things get done, but for the most part the plot is linear. The game does not suffer for this however, as the story is well told, and masterfully paced."

"At the start of the game, Bowser inhales Mario and Luigi, which leads to the duo exploring organic environments inside the grumpy monster, such as his stomach, arms and legs. The latest Famitsu issue includes the top ten best-selling games in Japan during 2009 so far. The list is dominated by Nintendo DS games with four titles appearing on the top ten. The rest of it is filled evenly with PSP, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii games. No Xbox 360 game managed to make the top ten best-selling list in Japan for 2009.

While the Japanese market may have decline as a whole so far in 2009 for the video game industry with decreasing sales in the software and hardware front, a select few video games managed to succeed under the tough economic conditions in the land of the rising sun.

"Since 1996, Nintendo has done the right thing by adding in the turn-based RPG elements into some of their games. This first started with their collaboration with Squaresoft and the release of Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars. A few years later, the oncoming of the Paper Mario series filled the void us RPG lovers had in our souls. Not too far down the line, the turn-based (and highly appreciated) Mario games made the jump to the hand held systems with Mario & Luigi: Superstar S..."
