Wii Music also topped the Wii section. This was followed by the popular Guitar Hero: World Tour and then the ever well selling Wii Fit.
Brain Training has done well again on the Nintendo DS taking first. MySims K...

Another week has passed and the Australian games sales are in! In first place is the DS game Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, second is Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga for the Wii, and third is the Wii Play Bundle! The interesting thing about the overall game sales (first one listed in the article) is that almost everything is either a Wii or a DS game, except for the SingStar Party Hits bundle for the PS2, which is in fifth place. Well, we're already almost a few weeks into 2008, and we've experienced the January slump; it's a hangover from the holiday season, and a teaser for a stocked and loaded February and March. However, that's not to say that there aren't quality games coming out in January. What games are you gonna get that are coming out this week?
Notable games this week:
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS)
Burnout: Paradise (360, PS3)
Endless Ocean (Wii)
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (DS)

It's another zany sales week in Japan, with DS and Wii sales shooting through the roof in a Nintendo-dominated top ten, and some weird and disheartening PSP sales.
There was a flip-flop at the top of the rankings, as this week's top seller was last week's #2, Mario Party DS, selling 180k units. The #2 seller is last week's #1, Wii Fit, with 124k units sold. Rounding out the top five is the only non-DS/Wii game in the top ten, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (PS3 - 116k - BD Version), Professor L...
Europe receives good news for the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Game for the DS. Although the game for Wii may be out, the DS version wont be out till next year. Here in North America we will be getting the game around in Febuary and we will be waiting anxiously. As they say in the article,"For now "early next year" is as good as it gets."
As we continue on towards the holiday season, I'm inclined to believe that this notable games list will continue to grow into gigantic proportions.
Joystiq has Call of Duty 4 as the highlight, but honestly, you can't pin the total spotlight this week on a single game. Besides, one of the greatest games ever came out for the Virtual Console.
Notable games this week:
Alien Soldier (VC)
Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War (360, PS3)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (360, PS3, DS, PC)

Indeed, through this solitary screen, taken by the furtive types at N-Europe, we can extract three new facts about Mario and Sonics RSI-inducing Olympics title."
Mario and Sonic are finally working together in the same game... But they're still competing against each other!

""We haven't announced anything, so I can't speak about any particulars, but we do have a lot of ideas about how we could potentially use the Wii remote for something like that," Miyamoto told us.
He also pointed to Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games as a project that may potentially include such a feature. "There will be some fencing in Mario & Sonic at the Olympics. I don't know if I'm supposed to say that, so if I'm not, I'm very sorry, SEGA," he said, laughing."
