Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2

It seems like PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait a little while longer to play as Psylocke, Cable, Carnage, Black Panther and Magneto as the DLC has disappeared from PSN. Those who previously downloaded the content can still re-download all data through their account download links.

"Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 is based on the Marvel Comics series Secret War and Civil War. The story opens with Colonel Nick Fury, director of SHIELD, duping the heroes into an unauthorized invasion of Latveria. The repercussions of this attack leave Fury branded an outlaw and as a result, all the world's superheroes are put under public and government scrutiny."

Activision and Vicarious Visions have revealed the first DLC character for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Carnage!

Okay, probably not what most of you were expecting, and definitely not everyone's favorite villain. What kind of name is "Cletus Kasady" anyway? Oh well, here's a character vignette and some screenshots.

"Activision-Blizzard have today released an updated release schedule for their autumn/winter line-up. Within the schedule are release dates for all of Activision-Blizzard's highly-anticipated releases throughout October, November and December 2009, including DJ Hero, Band Hero and possibly one of the strongest releases of 2009, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."

Right, so all the really late Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 reviews seem to be trickling in now... *awkward silence*

Sooo not our fault. Anyway, whether you've played the game or not, check out Neoseeker's review of the game, see what you think -- if for no reason other than the fact that we are Neoseeker. Anyway, what's the final verdict? Pretty solid.

Seriously, Deadpool's in it! It'd do better if the characters didn't look emotionally challenged.

"Marvel’s greatest super heroes unite for one more hoo-rah in this arcade beat em up style game. Spiderman, Wolverine, Captain America and Iron Man duel it out with other Marvel elites, to help save the world from eminent doom. The game uses the Civil war story from the latest Marvel comics which helps to bring it up to date in the Marvel Comic universe. Does MUA2 pack a hulk smash or does it just fall flat?."

All Age Gaming's Ian Crane takes a look at the latest Marvel comic character-including title, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. Is the game worthy of the Marvel characters' inclusion? Read on to find out.

RatedG4Gmer Cameron is back again with another video review. This time is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Has there been improvements since the first title or is this still just a standard button masher?

Tuesday is the release of the highly anticipated Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. AnalogHype brings you its latest edition to the 1st and Ten Series with the first 10 minutes of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

Here it is, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 launch trailer. The game will be out for multiple consoles on September 15, with no word yet on PC. There will be DLC, but Vicarious won't say how much they're charging (you just know additional characters will be overpriced).

And if you pre-ordered from GameStop, you get Juggernaut off the bat.

Latest Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 character spotlight features an old face -- Iceman. Aside from being one of Marvel's experiments with homosexuality in comics (cough Northstar cough), Bobby is also one of the original X-Men, though he used to look more like a snowman.

Here he is in the recent vignette video, plus three screenshots. A few older PAX '09 images at the source, if you're interested (various cast).

"Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is set for release across Europe very soon on Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable, and Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest information."

Activision and Vicarious visions released some more Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 assets today. First, we learn Ms. Marvel is joining the cast, and there's a video with some screenshots of her, of course, showing off what she can do with those Fusion techniques.

Additionally, we have a behind-the-scenes video of Stan Lee talking about the game. Of course, he sells the idea pretty well and states this is a new and fun experience for fans / gamers. And what does Stan Lee think about the Supe...

I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to this game more and more. With the ability to mix & match the powers of 25 playable characters, it's looking better and better. And now, Ms. Marvel has been revealed. That leaves 2 more characters yet unsaid - let the guessing continue.

You'll be able to combine the powers of Wolverine, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Deadpool on September 15th. :)

"Everyone loved the original Ultimate Alliance, right? What wasn't to love with Spider-Man, Iron Man, and whomever else you wanted teaming up to take on the evil forces in the Marvel Universe? Knowing how much fun that game was, I was looking forward to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 -- especially considering it revolves around the great story of Civil War -- but I wasn't out-of-my-head nuts for it or anything.

At least, I wasn't out-of-my-head-nuts for it until I played as Deadpool

"If you're a comic book fan, then you’ve probably noticed that comic book icon Stan "The Man" Lee usually makes an appearance in Marvel film adaptations. Activision just revealed that this time, Stan Lee will make his first onscreen video game cameo in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2."

"Developer Vicarious Visions is making sure Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is doing everything that the previous title did, but better. There are more characters, better visuals, and various gameplay enhancements. The roster of characters include: Juggernaut, Songbird, and Hulk to name a few of the highlighted fan favorites."

"Also just launched on www.MarvelUltimateAlliance.com is a casual online web game that puts players in the heart of the Marvel Civil War. Fans get to choose their side among Pro-Registration and Anti-Registration forces and face off in real-time battles to help their side emerge victorious. Fans can join the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 Civil War online game and be eligible for weekly giveaways and prizes, including Xbox 360 Elite consoles, signed memorabilia from Stan Lee, a grand prize of a 4..."

Despite being unannounced by Activision so far, the odds of everybody's favorite mutant cajun appearing seem to be extremely favorable. Judging by the UK box art, Gambit's mug has graced the cover of the game making it pretty absurd for him to be left out, unless they change the box art. Since there hasn't been any official confirmation yet, keep this filed as a rumor for now.

I think Vicarious Visions meant 360 degrees. Nevertheless, they've posted up two "3D" screenshots showing off the gameplay. The first picture contains Thor and the Human Torch combining their powers (tornado and fire respectively) to whip up a fiery tornado. The second picture shows Deadpool in the air, spraying a bunch of bullets. Check out the game's site to see the pictures in their full glory.

Another one of Neoseeker's E3 2009 floor impression pieces, this time we look at Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 from Vicarious Visions and Activision.

One of the cooler features in this sequel to the 2006 hit is Fusion attacks, which allow superheroes to combine their powers and destroy the new enemy swarms. Oh, and Deadpool is awesome, as always.

A new trailer for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 has been released, in this trailer we are shown tons upon tons of fighting action, also to note is the fact that Venom and Green Goblin are both seen fighting in the trailer, could this mean we may be able to have Venom and Green Goblin as playable characters?

Hit the source for the trailer.

Marvel have now released the first 16 out of 24 characters for the new and upcoming Marvel Ultimate Alliance game.

It also appears you can snag yourself Juggernaut from a Gamestop pre-order, but considering that most EU players can't get to a Gamestop, i'm willing to bet it'll be on the marketplace after a while.

"Thousands of gamers, anime fans and cosplayers of widely varying quality descended on ExCel, an exhibition centre in London, for one of the biggest events in the collective industrys’ calendar today, the 15th MCM Expo. Running for two days, 23rd May and 24th May 2009, those few Electronic Theatre readers who managed to miss today’s show may just have enough time to organise the necessary travelling arrangements, and grab that Bomberman outfit they’ve been saving for a special occasion."

The newest edition to the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 roster has just been shown off in the latest trailer, showing gameplay with everyone's favorite masked mercenary kicking ass. Deadpool appears to function as a ranged fighter class wise, using teleports and jumps to get the drop on enemies. View the video at the source.

According to a secret 'announcement' in the new X-Men Origins: Wolverine game, our beloved non-hero Deadpool it seems (emphasis on seems) will be making an appearance in the new Marvel Ultimate Alliance game (as he did with the last one), but a recent interview with Origins' project lead seems to lean more towards a game dedicated to Deadpool himself, which he states his team will likely be working on next.

Good news, ja.

"Back when the sequel to Marvel Ultimate Alliance was announced, it was called Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion. Activision, however, has decided to make a change.

The game will now be known simply as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2."

"Activision had a solid presence at New York Comic Con, with playable demos of both Prototype and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Unfortunately, though, we didn't get to see much about Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - just a new trailer and a sort of nerd side-show."

New screenshots for the upcoming action-RPG by Activision, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. It's only a few pictures but they do look good. A few of the playable heroes are seen in the screenshots, including Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic and Thor.

"Heroes rock. Whether they're fighting nazis, blowing up tanks with their bare hands or saving puppies from burning circus tents, we've always been in awe of these lads and ladies. So here they are...our picks for the 100 greatest heroes of entertainment (games-comics-film). Let the flame wars begin!"
