These were all created by Mikaël Aguirre, a fan of these games and they sure do look beautiful. If anything, Nintendo should consider making games with these type of graphics.

Our friends over at Penny Arcade have produced a comic appropriately titles "The Mega Man 9 Effect" - which shows how Mega Man 9 is bringing an older generation of gamers back to their roots to relive their childhood of retro gaming.

Capcom's John Diamonon on his Capcom Unity blog posted the boxart for the upcoming downloadable retro revival, Mega Man 9. Unfortunately, this little piece of gold will only be sent to the gaming press. However, he did mention that they are thinking of putting a limited quantity up for sale on the Capcom Store.

Mega Man 9 will release on WiiWare, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. It will release on WiiWare in Japan on September 24th.
